as mentioned above.. scripted not faked, very important that the difference is noted.. Most of the moves are still actually used on one another, how ever they no how to land to refrain any injuries from occurring, however cuts and bruising is always going to happen. Wrestling is ok, i used to love it, but for some reason i have become bored with the fact that it is usually pretty obvious who is going to win, and so it takes excitement out of it.
Now im an aussie, and all aussies love football! im talking AFL, the sport where the crows are no. 1!!! lol i love watching, and also playing footy, and im sure there are many aussies who love it too. After all it is a known fact that aussies love their sport..
PS if there are any poms reading this, bad luck about the cricket, we didnt mean to get ur hopes up about the ashes.. what did you expect, us to stay bad all series? lol we r just getting warmed up...
arg, AFL, never really liked it. i mean i would watch it when eating or if there was nothing else but i never really got into it. i know the basic rules and such but i would rather watch gaelic football, more exiting.
i prefer to watch NRL, although the games being broadcast are between low sides. lets see, then there is cricket, IMO it is in the top 3 most unentertaining sports ever. i will ONLY watch cricket highlights. if u can atucally sit down for several hours to watch a whole game, u must be having an aussie BBQ . one thing i dont like about cricket is that there is so much time between balls that several replays of the last ball can be shown
i would much rather watch soccer

I used to watch WWF - my son had a collection of just about every bit of merchandise they had out. All the figures, talking stage - cage match set etc etc. That was back in the day when the stories were good and the Wrestlers were cool. Now I think it sucks, they went completely downhill with everything - they even ruined a bunch of their guys trying to fit their new stories - Kane is ridiculous now, Bradshaw even worse...
But the storylines are what did me in - so much political pandering its just pathetic. When they decided that the Canadian wrestlers had to be announced as being from US cities, that was the end for me. Since then I've had the misfortune of catching it here and there (my mom in law who stays with us watches faithfuly, she's a Jerichoholic)- and the whole Iraqi guy thing is perhaps the worst they've ever done - I know, for a storyline lets subject a bunch of young and impressionable people to the notion of hating others based on their nationality! Yay! That's responsible!
And of course, the worst thing about it now - give you a hint "H", need another? "H", one more hint? "H" !! Put it together - what's that spell? HHH! I remember him when he was in DX (that was about 150 pounds of steriod induced muscle ago) they shoulda left him at that level of exposure- is there really a need to have him interrupt the last match with a sledgehammer every show??
On an aside to that - didja know that Chris Jericho was raised here in Winnipeg? I actually took the same course in College as he did And no, it wasn't a wrestling for dummies course
And now the holy **** news!!!!
I have just found out that there is an actual chance that some buyers from Winnipeg will pick up the Nashville Pedators! We could have hockey again! I coudnt be more pumped! It may not happen today, maybe not tomorrow - but it might happen on day before I'm 40!! And if it happens, that will be a day of rejoicing I tell ya
EDIT:: Lottery Update - Pittsburgh Penguins won the 1 draft pick!! Now we'll really see if Sydney Crosby can be the 'next Lemieux' Great news for the Pens

well hopefully they trade him for multiple experienced players... you know like to the habs or something!!

I'd love to see Winnipeg get a team back!
There's a city that'll benefit from the new system, and the fans freakin' deserve it!

Well now Jeb, that was some Grade A Mod butt kissin' if I've ever seen it Good on ya lol
So what teams do you think will feel the most ouch by the new cap system. 6 days to dump salaries doesn't seem like such a long time to make some big decisions.
What do you guys think of the new rules?
Quote: Some of the rule changes that will take effect for the 2005-06 NHL season:
No more ties
- Following a scoreless five-minute overtime, three players from each team participate in a shootout.
- Each team takes three shots. The team with the most goals after those six shots wins.
- If the score remains tied, the shootout will proceed to a "sudden death" format.
- If a game is decided by a shootout, the final score will give the winning team one more goal than its opponent, based on the score at the end of overtime.
Two-line passes
- Two-line passes will now be legal. The centre-red line will be ignored for off-side purposes.
- The "tag-up" off-side rule returns, allowing play to continue if offensive players who preceded the puck into the zone return to the blue-line and "tag" it.
Restrictions on goalies
- The dimensions of goaltender equipment will be reduced by approximately 11 per cent. In addition to a one-inch reduction (to 11 inches) in the width of legpads, the blocking glove, upper-body protector, pants and jersey also will be reduced in size.
- Penalties for goalies using oversizing equipment are: a two-game suspension, $25,000 fine for the team and trainer gets fined $1,000.
- Goalies may play the puck behind the goal-line only in a trapezoid-shaped area defined by lines that begin six feet from either goal post and extend diagonally to points 28 feet apart at the end boards.
Bigger Offensive Zone
- The blue-lines will be moved closer together to create an additional four feet in each of the offensive zones. That reduces the size of the neutral zone to 50 feet from 54 feet.
- The goal-lines will be moved two feet, to 11 feet from the end boards.
- The width of blue-lines and centre-red line remains unchanged.
Changes to icing
- A team that ices the puck cannot make a line change prior to the ensuing face-off.
- Touch remains in effect but linesmen will be given more discretion to wave off icing infractions if they are deemed the result of an attempted pass.
Changes to instigator rule
- A player who instigates a fight in the final five minutes of a game will receive a game misconduct and an automatic one-game suspension. The length of suspension would double for each additional incident.
- In addition, the player's coach will be fined $10,000 US, a fine that would double for each such incident.
Areas of emphasis for officials
- Zero tolerance on interference, hooking and holding/obstruction.
- Goalies who play the puck behind the goal-line but outside the designated puck-handling area will be penalized for delay of game.
- Goaltenders will be penalized for delaying the game if they "freeze" the puck unnecessarily.
- Any player who shoots the puck directly over the glass in his defending zone will be penalized for delay of game.
Unsportsmanlike conduct
- The league will review and assess fines to players who dive, embellish a fall or a reaction, or who feign injury in an attempt to draw penalties.
- The first such incident will result in a warning letter; the second will result in a $1,000 fine; the third will result in a $2,000 fine; and the fourth incident will result in a one-game suspension.
- Public complaints or derogatory comments toward the game also will result in fines.

What's funny is for some strange reason I keep thinking you're from Calgary!!!
(but honestly i've always felt that it's because of cities like winnipeg that the economic system was failing the canadian teams... sold out everynight and STILL can't keep a team??? C'MON!!!)
and had Quebec been able to hang on for another year they would have had a Stanley Cup contending team for years!!

Well Pandora - you might be happy to know that the Arabian Characters (Muhammad Hassan and Khosrov Daivari) Were taken off TV permanantly after being "Killed" by the undertaker. Its pathetic. I was starting to like the two, and then whiny parents groups complain and force WWE to remove them off TV

well today i was watching sports highlights and i saw a few things from a baseball game. appartantly there was a guy in the base (sorry i am not good with jargon) and he pretended to have the ball in his mit. the guy on the base therefore wouldnt run. the guy on the base was acting like he had the ball an all but he. then eventually the ball appeared and the guy running figured it all out.
anyine else seen this? or able to describe better?
also there was a game where the guy behind the batter threw the bal the the pitcher but the pitcher didnt catch it. the guy on 3rd base ran home and the batting team won
i wish they showed baseball more often in AUS

Hey, it's only because of ignorance!
(They're the only team I know, since Espen "Shampoo" Knutsen played there a few seasons ago...)
