| Oh kewl thread - is nice to meet you all, and better to see where the nicknames come from
Mine of course means damned - way back 10 years ago? I would use Dmnd on irc when I didnt really have time to speak to lots of ppl and so would just sneak in.  Then I sort of forgot about it.  Then planetarion came along and I was pretty bad at the game, doomed too loose friends said,s o when the game reset I started using Dmned for my handle there.

It stuck, EQ came along and it seemed a fitting name for a dark elf, funny really to have a damned cleric, and since dark elves had some dragon alliance there and I liked dragons, I was Dmned Drage - A damned dragon.  I just tend to use it in everything these days.

| Further justification (is needed!)
 Hi
Some others have posted far more impressive explanations (that made more sense!) than mine, and I think my name description was a bit lame.

 To rectify:

 BeastGrandMaster

That would take some justification. Here goes:

First of all it has to be based on the whole nature/combat thing. My fav town in preserve and I love nature creatures (as I have said). Order is probably the most powerful, I think Death could possibly have the best units and building order, but the combination of fantastic creatures, with great movement and battle winning skills is just a sure bet.

Magic heroes have the potential to be the most powerful I think especially at lower levels and nature is definately no exception. As I said earlier one of my fav spells (prob No 1) is water elemental. This is just so useful especially for quicksand which when mastered is amazing. Casting takes a little practice, but that I have!

Combining fantastic magic with a strong ranged attack makes a real pain for any opposing army. The creatures really complement the heroes and magic also. Poss my fav unit for nature (that I would pay for) is the Mantis. Forget the lack of growth, once you have oine of these beuts, well good bye anything else!).

That defines the Beast..Master bit. Now the other. Simply: Calling myself BeastAdvancedMaster or BeastMaster is a bit tame and basic to master skills while game winning in them selves are not all powerful. Apply a few grandmasterships and you have a stunning hero. If I can manage it (and I usuall aim for it). I try to gain GM nature (along with GM Herbs and Medit) and GM combat and archery. Melee is v.useful, but I'm prefere to rain death upon an enemy from afar. (binding with summoned mantises and slowing and weakening them with water eleys). Doesn't work every time (dragons are a pain!). But it still kicks some booty.

 Well thats me.... again.

 Comms soon

| For some reason I have a feeling I did this once before in a similar thread.  Oh well I just do it again for anyone new or those that don't remember. My name sorta already says everything...or so you may think.  A long time ago when I was but a wee little lad, I collected comic books; and that's saying it lightly cnsidering I collected everything from DC's Green Lantern to Marvel's X-Men to Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog.  I was about 11 or 12 at the time when Mighty Mage first popped in my head.  I had just finished injesting my daily comics when I came upon an awesome idea, I'd make a comic of my very own.  I had always LOVED magic and powers and stuff so I wanted a hero that was just that.  Around that time was when I started getting into Heroes as well and their idea of a wizard or mage just wasn't appealing to me.  I never liked the old white guy look, (mind you I'm white but I still didn't like the idea of considering an old white guy as "powerful") so I decided to go for a more muscular look in my origional drawings (hence the Mighty part).  I had also just finished reading Stephen King's "The Green Mile" (Good book by the way).  In my origional drawings, my hero was just muscular looking, not realy strong looking if you understand what I mean.  So I started over and this time based him off of John Coffy (one of the main characters.  Find a picture of Michael Clarke Duncan to see about what he looked like).  After I finished drawing and coloring him (cape and all.  Now that I think about it again his staff was really cool looking too) I had to come up with a name.  This was the easy part, Super Strong Wizard Dude...No, that just didn't fit.  I needed somthing short and sweet so I started by thinking up other names for wizard, one of them Mage I remembered...and I liked.  Now since super strong dude still didn't fit I had to think up a another name for strong.  After about 2 dozen donuts and a couple glasses of pepsi I decided on Mighty.  Put them together and you've got Mighty Mage.  Around 1999-2000 I found out about Heroes Community and decided to join.  The name of my comic book hero, Mighty Mage came to mind so I decided to use that and Dracan for my aviter since he looked so much like Mighty Mage, besides him being my favorite hero in Armegedon's Blade.  Well, that's it really.

| Thanks Ghost Dragon
Thanks! I'm glad you approve, I really think I was being a bit cheeky choosing the 'GrandMaster' bit but I think its fair based on my justification.

Your own description was more poetic than mine (which is, I suspect, where I lack finess)! I think ghost dragons are ace too. Far too under appreciated compared to Devils. The benefits are of GDs are too good to miss including great HP, and skills (no retal for most! wow) and stats that when attributed to a decent tactician make a good unit terrifying! (literally).

Hope speak soon, all the best (to everyone)
