I am not going to name the music I love, I am however saying I can confirm many tastes of what I read in this thread.
There is only one hint I can give. I will not indoctrinate music that is not popular.

Quote: I'm not going to tell you anything about my Music Tastes. However, since it IS the Music Tastes thread afterall, I'll be fair enough to let you know that I HAVE Music Tastes. I'll give you a hint though : I have the same Music Distastes as some, but mine differ from some others'. Hope this helps.

Perhaps it's time to create a few spin-off threads.
I'm considering a Metal one in particular. Seems to be enough of an audience.
EDIT : Music Tastes > METALHEADS ! now active ! All metal fans are welcomed.

New albums from the top three due out next Spring!
ZOMG. Said album just got released three days ago! Over two years have passed.
Quote: That's a good start. Now you must complete your training and buy Reveal! You must!
Holy crud, that was soooo Williamesque. Now, where did I put that rope...?
I finally bought Snow Patrol's fourth album Eyes Open after putting it off for quite some time. I agree with a number of reviewers: it's definitely their most accessible album to date. They gave up most of their obscurer-sounding indie elements in favor of catchier pop melodies (which they previously hinted at with songs like 'One Night Is Not Enough' and 'Run'). Whereas their earlier albums were thoroughly littered with tracks that failed to impress me after repeated listens, every song on Eyes Open sounds great to me in some way. Now I can't decide which song I like better: 'Run' or 'Chasing Cars'. Oh well, no matter. Has this band finally found their sound? Hardcore indie fans might disagree, but I'd say probably.
Next time: either The Ramones or the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

I like older music.Rock,Irish and American Folk,Country,Disco, older Pop such stuff.
Thin Lizzy is one of my favourites.Beatles and The Who of course.
But for now i think it's the Cure my favourite.Maybe bc many of their songs are inside the range of my skills in acoustic guitar and i can play a lot of their stuff. And pearl jam aswell and some punk stuff like offspring.Kraftwerk of course! These pioneers from Germany godfathers of electronic music! And rammstein are pretty good.
And from pop and disco music of course Modern Talkin! what a band! The blond guy Dieter Bohlen was holding always an unplugged-white if i remember well-electric guitar and "playing"(#$@%$$) some chords! That was lame! And the singer i only can find one live that he actually sang live!In southern America i think!
But their music was awesome
In newer bands i would only pick radiohead and Rhcp even i'm not fan.
From single artists i would say Dylan and Baez.Maybe Billy Idol. And Leonard Cohen even i don't like other things in him.

Well,I am an outsider.I listen to music of 90s and below to classic.
Mostly I listen from game soundtracks, old rock to 90s pop and such.
The music from 2000 and above is like too hard and strong.I wonder when it will change.

Quote: Kraftwerk of course! These pioneers from Germany godfathers of electronic music!
Wrong, very wrong. Tangerine Dream were doing music before they were even around. Kraftwerk started in 1970, whereas Tangerine Dream were already doing music from 1967. So really, Tangerine Dream are the godfathers of Electronic music
