Haha that made me laugh. I think it's harsh, but it's harsh in a funny way.
Not laughing *with* the American's badmouthing canadians completely either.
Anyone seen the Simpsons episode where they go to Canada?
Bart and Milhouse get on the national basketball team because they're bored.
One of my best friends is Canadian, and he's the best in my school at basketball.
And to say, "all the Canadians are out dogsledding" is pretty funny, but dumb.
I know there was alot more controversial and important arguments going on, like whether Canada needs America etc. and I agree that they probably need each other, however the USA could probably go alright without Canada, as they are the sole world power.
Perhaps they would be worse off, perhaps they would be better off. Why don't we go back in time and blow up Canada for an experiment.

Talking about canada eh? Well I myself am canadian and despite what millions of people think, we dont say eh after everything. We arent obsessed with maple syrup (although it is very good) and we don't live in igloos (it's amazing how many people think that). A friend of mine went on a cruise and there were some people from england on it aswell, they asked him where he was from and he said "canada" and then after that they asked what it was like living in an igloo.
A little while ago my family and I went to the US for a few days, compared to everyone else, we were quite pale, so someone asked me where I were from, I replied "canada", then they asked if we lived in a igloo (at this point I remembered what my friend did) and I replied "yes, yes we do, we have a little hole in the roof to let the heat out, or it will get very hot inside". They said "oh really?" and then walked away, afterwards my brother and I were laughing alot.
And not all canadians speak french, in fact, a lot of canada doesn't. I live in quebec, so there is quite a bit of french everywhere, and I've spent my whole life living here. I barely speak french at all, I understand it fine, but I can't speak it to save my life.
So, anyways, as a final statement I'll say this: Canada RULES!!!!! It may have bad weather sometimes, but you get used to it!
