How many unit-levels should it be in heroes?

I think 7 is a petty fine number. The levels should never be lesser than 6 or higher than 8. 4, as it was in Heroes IV is too low in any cause.
What are YOU opinions about the unit-levels?

I would really like to see one mid-level unit, so 8 levels would be best

Personally I find it hard to imagine anything other than 7 levels of creatures, having only played Heroes 3. This has always seemed fine to me, although I have nothing against going upwards. Downwards however should be avoided. I am a stickler for generally 'more' in a game - more factions (hence being annoyed about there only being 6 in HoMM5), more spells, etc.

I think 6 is enough even when you only get one creature per level. If you got more than one creature per level, then 5 would be plenty.

The more creatures there are in the game the more that will be useless.

I think that level quontity is secondary , the primary is usefullness of each creature . It's better for me using some units with bright features than a lot , which like each other .
