Why did you choose the avatar you use?
I wonder: Why use you the avatar you use? I have been thinking on this, when I have seen all different avatars HC members use, so I thinked that the best thing to do is to simply ask. 
Why I use my avatar: Nimbus
I use Nimbus as my avatar for two reason: 1. I am working on a H3 SoD/AB campaign named "The return of King Gryphonheart" where Nimbus is one of the main characters. Reason 2: He siply looks cool.

Yo, Nimbus 
Just wanted you to know that :
1) This subject doesn't fit in the Library, becasue it's not about the GAME, but about HC USERS. Hence, its rightful place would be at the TAVERN.
2) Such a thread already happens to exist at the Tavern. It is, almost just like yours, called "Why Did You Choose Your Avatar ?".
3) As far as I know, HC's policy about similar threads is to encourage posters to revive and/or contribute to pre-existing threads similar to their idea instead of creating a new one.
My advice is to copy paste your post in the thread I linked you to, and then delete this here thread.

I used Rion because of his fantastic speciality.
People just don't realize that he can heal 100 (100!!! HUNDRED!!) hp at level 63.
It's quite usefull for me as I ban might heroes, ban all magic period, and ban artillery in my games.
Still, you have to be carefull as opponent can attack first aid tent with his archangels.
But that's dishonourable, even worse than castle sitting.

H5 Pit Fiend
First I know Pit Fiend in H3, it is like DIRTY creature in deepest hole of the Earth! Their appearance express that they can't think like human and just know HOW to destroy.
Then I see the H5 Pit Fiend. How AMAzInG! Fully armored Blade-user with something like wings! This is the TRUE Infernal warrior that I've seen! Then I read the stats and found that this creature can cast Meteor Shower! one of the most dangerous spells that can be casted by creature.
Actually I want to use the avatar of Balor. But the fire effect on his (the Balor's) head makes the avatar more dark and seems like burned! So I choose Pit Fiend instead.
Actually again, I want to write my custom status with 'Vorpal Master'. but coz the Vorpal Master is Balor, I write 'Vorpalist. Jr' instead.

Personaly, I just love all kinds of "eye" creatures. This includes evil eyes, beholders and cyclops.

In my case, I find the being that you see in my left panel as describing me quite accurately in a physical manner, while the fact that many see it as the worst creature of the game could mean that I am close to the epitome of newbie-ness...

I use my avatar because Titans are cool and they are my fav units and i use them all the time.
Thats why i chose the Titan as my avatar.

That's a LOT of reasons, Will.
1) because Titans are cool
2) because they are your favorite unit
3) because you use them all the time

Just so you know, Will :
It IS cool to have a nuclear weapon handy. It IS much more lethal than a mere sword. In THEORY.
In practice, let's say you start building your nuclear missile piece by piece while I start forging my sword at the same time...
Who do you think will die first ?

I was listening to the Byrds' Greatest Hits CD earlier today. They're awesome.
I chose the H3 sunrise pic because I thought it looked cool. It reminded me of a trip I went on where the plane departed in the late afternoon. There were clouds all around, and the brilliant orange rays of sunlight pierced nearly all angles in view. It was an awesome sight to behold. It was almost dreamy, since I rarely see anything so spectacular like that. The animation from H3 reminded me of that, so there it went. I suppose I could've chosen a better pic of something else, perhaps, but I guess I can live with my choice.
