Operation Avatar: Director's Cut + commentary
When Valeriy created the Sponsor a feature thread I decided to take him up on the offer and sponsor a day where I got to pick everybody's avatars. Luckily April Fool's day was coming up shortly so the timing was excellent. Below you will find all the avatars that I created (or adapted) as well as some comments by me.

This movie is timed to play every 12 seconds, which is a reference to another thread here at HC where people realized that 10 seconds was a really annoying amount of time to have to watch an avatar to see if it does something. I decided to take the 10 seconds and add another couple for good measure.

This is a reference to the most famous Vlaad in history: "Vlaad the Impaler" who lived in Transylvania in the idunno century AD. (and whom is usually credited as being the inspiration for the fictional Dracula)

This is a reference to a couple of posts that I made in threads where men where posting pictures of women they found attractive. In order to balance things out though I invited the women to post their pictures of men they found attractive. I made a request though for "no Speedos". When I found this picture of David Hasselfhoff in a speedo though it just made me bust out laughing. I mean what is that…a tiger?
That's all of them. I missed a lot of people but I think I got most of the "characters" here at HC. If you haven't posted recently or you only posted infrequently then I maybe also have missed you as well. (Also I just plain ran out of time). I hope you guys had fun with it!
(some explanatory notes for newbies: ICTC was a contest held here last February where you had to design your own imaginary faction for the new Heroes of Might and Magic 5. I was one of the most enthusiastic participants in the contest and so for many people "ICTC" equals "Friend_of_Gunnar" (me)
So on April's Fool's day when everybody got their new custom-made avatar the moderator Red_Sox_Fan3 was properly outraged when he discovered he had to wear a New York Yankees tattoo on the back of his head for a couple of days. Since he was under a strict injunction from the administrator not to divulge who had created the avatars however he decided to take his revenge by handing out QP's (Quality Points…AKA red stars) to anyone who would insult ICTC. Dingo and TNT_Addict joined in on the fun and Dingo racked up the most Quality Points ever awarded to anyone in HC history (which enabled him to do two things: he could give a rating of "spamfest" to any thread in the entire forum, and he could also spamfest any thread in the forum) Since I was the only non-moderator who really knew what was going on at that point I think I ruptured an internal organ I was laughing so hard.
Another thing that newbies need to know is that almost all the people who come to HC use the "Today's Posts" to see what the fresh topics are. When Red_Sox_Fan3 started handing out QP's for anyone who insulted ICTC however the "today's posts" rapidly filled up with threads who's titles insulted ICTC. . Anyone who clicked on the "Today's Posts" saw only four pages of threads with titles like: "ICTC smells bad" or "ICTC corrupts children". (My favourite: Red_Sox_Fan started 9 different threads who's titles had only one letter each I…C…T…C….B…L…O…W…S")
The next thing that a newbie needs to know is that when you edit a post you made earlier, the thread it was in automatically jumps to the top of the "Today's Post" list, just like it would jump if you actually posted something new. So later on that April's Fool day another ICTC enthusiast by the name of Kookastar logged on and found that the first three pages of the "Today's Posts" were littered with anti ICTC threads. She was of course properly outraged and decided to take revenge by editing all of the scorecards that she had made a month previously for the 60 ICTC contest entries. Since an edit bumps a thread, instead of there being three pages of anti-ICTC threads, there was now three pages of ICTC contest entries for people to look at. And since I found this "Revenge of ICTC" most appropriate I hurt my stomach the third time that day because I was laughing so hard.)
Addendum: I thought all of this back and forth was really funny but all these spam threads and frivolous QP awarding are apparently really time consuming to clean up afterwards. All of which might have further repercussions here at HC after April 1st is long gone.

Avatars are now restored, and the avatar editing works in the profiles. As an added extra, 26 avatars from the joke have been added under the names of apr06-...

I'm glad you liked the pic Tigris. I searched long and hard for that picture of a pussy and I think it's one of the best I've seen. And I've seen many pictures of pussy's in my lifetime, in different postures and with different colored fur. As a matter of fact I have a calendar on my wall that shows a different pussy every month. For some reason though my wife doesn't like it very much . This is strange because we already have a pussy in the house. I mentioned to her that I wanted to get an extra pussy because I think 2 pussy's are better than one but my wife disapproves of this idea also.
