Even if ubi don't intend to change it, we should try to look at it in another perspective. In time, maybe, Heroes 5 treant will be the cutest among the others.
Maye accepting this small mistakes is better than complaining. [Just don't want Nival to dissapoint us again]

No, no, no! Treant can't a pathetic alien made of wood! It should be giant strong spirit of the woods and it should look like oak, not like poplar whose branches were cut! It's more like Pinokio than treant.

What da **** have you done to our tree? What is wrong with the lord of the rings looking Treant? why did you have to mess it up? it looks like a an alien, and an ugly one!
And the ancient Treant... I have no words to describe that horror... I may just say that the "beard" (I have a beard and I think it's a good idea but this...) looks like the Treant is in the middle of eating liaves...

Lol, after i had trying to stare at that pic of the treant for full 5 mins, i think im going to puke now,it would be my fault for having to suggest to love it. Its too skinny, my family are nearly all as skinny. I would not want to see skinny stuff in RL or in the game, this would be too much to bear
Now i would surely like to join that petition, for now i would prefer to have a plump girlfriend rather than a skinny one

They will not change treants no matter how much you will ask, as it's already too late to change many things, to our sorrow though... After playing a demo and after I seen how they move, horror...

lol haha woah treants move so halarious...I was expecting them to walk slowly as they have before...but instead they run like lil insects lol so pathetic...do u think that they might change the looks of the treant in the expansion??

The new Treants. . .They don't look like brick walls anymore. They look WAY too fragile to be the Sylvan's tank. Frankly, they look like they're going to fall apart any second now.

Can't change a thing you say, Lich King? that's what some were saying before the "save heroes" petition! if the community had done it once it can do it again!
As you said, Lich King, and as I have seen myself palying the demo, there is still much work to do, and 2 weeks are not nearly as much as Nival needs to modify and refine the game. There must be a second "save heroes" petiton that will ask to move the release date atleast to august 2006, and corect all those mistakes we have seen in the demo. If they do not cooperate, the HC can pose an embargo on Nival as a last resort.
If all the HC users will boycot the game, Nival will suffer much greater losses then if they pospone the release date by 3 or 4 minths. We must use the power that we have to create a better game for US. Game disigners are the servents of the gamer cummunity, so we must ask them to think of that community (which brings in their salaries), and correct the game to high level. If we don't act fast, the game is lost.

The story of how the treant became what we see here:
One day Nival's unit designers were absorbing large amounts of beer and pizza. At one point, one of them says 'so what is a treant anyway?', and another replied 'I expect it means tree ant or something...'. And then the first one says 'oh dear, looks like we'll need to redesign.'

It made me realize that modeling a moving tree on a computer would probably take a lot of computing resources. That's why we have the "tree ant".
makes me think that God probably has a wicked computer.

That's just cruel, drawing such a cool creature then MAKING such an abomination as that.

Ha ha, just read all the posts in this topic, and it seemed kinda funny to me ... sorry.
What can I say? The Heroes 3 Dendroid - boooooring. The concept art? Horrible. What is that thing, somebody trying to build a fence, and got the pieces together the wrong way?
At least the final one is original, and it does look really menacing. My main objection would be nothing about the design in particular, but rather that they, as Fofa noticed, look way to fragile to be the single strongest level 6 unit (with 30 % more HP and 20 % more Defence than any other level 6 - that's a pretty large jump!!). If they had made the stats for a more offensive treant, I'd say this one was excellent.
