Game Ideas - post your ideas for games here

There are millions of ideas for games each year. Unfortunately many of these are sent to the flotsam and jetsam of unreleased game ideas down in hell. Since everyone and their pet crudely drawn filler material is making a sports franchise or WWII shoot-em-up, I'd like to see some new ideas out there. Remember Shigeru Miyamoto? This guy created the platform genre of games and is responsible for some of the more original games out there in the universe. As an ankle biter Shiggsy was collecting bugs for a hobby, thus Pokemon was born. He is older now and also an avid gardener, thus the creation of Pikmin.

I have made this thread for any of you to come up with an ORIGINAL idea for a game, not a rehash of everything you've seen before.You should provide a title for this game, the objective of the game, and also various possible gameplay options within the game.

Here is my idea of a game:

TITLE OF GAME
Realitron 2013

OBJECTIVE
It's a simulation of real life.

POSSIBILITIES OF GAMEPLAY
The possibilities are quite unlimited. You control a person and you can control their personality, religion, sexual creed and even income. Heck, you can even control homeless people if you want. It is based in real time. You can also relieve events of terror such as 9/11 and the IRA protests.

EDIT NOTE!!!!!
More ideas. You could raise a kid in the streets. The kid would start out being a religious type than the kid hangs with a gang alas a mafia. After a few years the kid will have had relationship problems and decides to come out of the closet. the kid begins a new life as an alcoholic and a chainsmoker before joining the church of scientology.

This game would break a lot of taboos.

Sorry Trogdor, but Shigeru did not create platform games. The first platform game was called Jumping Jack and predates Mario by... dunno, by a lot.

As for original game ideas...

How about a MMOTetris? Imagine, a play area a hundred or more squares wide, with dozens of players simultaneously arranging countless blocks. I know I'd buy it.

How about one where you were young and you were taken from your home and bashed up and assualted.
You find your family about 15 years later, and you want revenge.
Everything seems to go calmly until about 2 years later when those same people come to your place and start bashing you.
You then bash them and eventually throughout the game you find out who the boss of these attackers attacking you is.
At the end of the game you find out that it is your Dad who sent those men to get you but he had planned on them to kill you.
You then have a massive showdown with your father ontop of his building where if you beat him he gets thrown from the building and crashes head first into the ground, and he falls about 50 stories down from the top of the building.

@Woock: cool idea. I can see like guilds forming and gang wars and whatnot.  I'd buy it for under 20$

@William: You second idea sounded like just a lame shooter.  Your first idea was really intriguing but it doesn't follow the universal video game idea of things constantly getting harder.  What if you bring back a machine gun to medieval era.  Or if you stay in medieval era and get some groovy plate but then what's the point of traveling to different times at all?  It's a good idea, especially the part where your main goal is to develop yourself but it needs something more. Work on it and get back to me...

How about a game about these people called "heroes" and they fight their enemies using tactics and have to make an army of mythincal creatures and soldiers. They can fight by using either "might" or "magic" and there will be things like Inferno and Rampart where these creatures are recruited and upgrades are done. They will fight on a kind of chess board like field.

I think i'll call it Heros of magic and might, which we can abreviate to homm!

Ok how about you are a soldier in the army, a new recruit and you are in battle for the first time.
A grenade gets thrown and it lands just by your feet, you try and pick it up and throw it back but it explodes.
You think you are dead but you find yourself in a weird jungle.
You stand up and find yourself to be in ancient times like the Jurassic period.
During the game you collect various bits of equipment like Bows but you can modify them and get some of the gunpowder and make them explode.
You also have infinite ammo with your pistol (The start of the game where the battle takes place is set in the year 2785).
The game difficulty setting varies.
If you play really good in the game then the game sets itself to gradually get harder and harder.
Alternatively if you die alot then it gets easyier for you.
Tiger Woods PGA tour 2004 and 2005 has this setting thing and I just thought that it would be good for this kind of game.

During the gmae when you defeat a set number of enemies like Dinosaurs, cavemen, roman soldiers for example, then at the end of the mission you have to defeat a boss which is hard to beat.
When you beat it, then a time warp will open and you will get warped into the next level which may be 1 million years later or something bringing you to the egyptian era for example.

The main objective of the game would be to defeat all of the monsters, and in later or middle stages of the game you would be able to interact with people because when you get to the time when there are humans then obviously you would be able to communicate with them.

If you die then you would lose a life, you would have 3 lives, and the reason for this could be because you have future technology which is watch that brings you back to life a set number of times.

Things you could pick up during the game could be potions, rare plants that would give you enhanced sense for a temporary time, you would be able to set traps like making a branch fling back into the enemies face, or like a hole in the ground and at the bottom of the ground would be spikes which would pierce the enemy and kill it.
Also the enemy would also set up trpas and some you would only be able to see via the special and rare plants that you collect during various stages of the game.

The game would be 3rd person and for people which may not know what that is, it is where you can see the person, from a behind view.
1st person is where you view like it is directly from your characters eyes.
So for this kind of  game 3rd person would be best, because you can see all the things around you.

The game would be real time, with night and day switching.

You would be able to roam wherever you want and there would be no time limits to where you go, so you can do everything at your own pace, you could go fishing which would be avaliable when you are in the human times, you could watch the sunset pass by and go down, you could watch the stars and everything if you are very bored which you probably wouldnt be playing this game

The game would have a skill thing which affects your character that you are playing.

List of Skills:

Dexterity: The ability to be fast with bows and able to set traps better and be able to sneak around, and also you can see the enemy trpas when you are high enough level with this skill.

Dexterity skill level 1- Be a little faster while walking

Dexterity skill level 2-Be able to make traps, faster walking, be able to get closer to your enemies without being seen

Dexterity skill level 3-Be able to see enemy traps, faster walking, be able to get even closer to your enemies without being seen.

Dexterity skill level 4-Be able to make more trap kinds for example Branch traps or hole in the ground traps and also other traps aswell, be able to sneak, be able to get within 2 metres of the enemy unit without being seen, be able to use the bow the fastest way possible and also reload the arrows fastest, be able to walk very fast and silently, be able to pick locks, be able to bribe people, be able to steal things from shops for example, faser attacks like your sword swinging would be double as fast and your deflections with the sheild would be double as fast like i mean your reaction to enemy arrows for example would be faster and there is a higher probability of deflecting the arrows and not getting damaged.


Strength-With higher strength you would get bigger muscles, be able to carry heavy items like boulders for example, be able to inflict more damage to your enemies.

Strength skill level 1-Be able to inflict more damage in combat

Strength skill level 2-Be able to pick up heavy items, be able to inflict slightly more damage in combat

Strength skill level 3-Biggest muscles, be able to carry boulders, be able to pick up heavy things like very haevy swords if you are in the Roman or Greek age for example, be able to inflict more damage

Strength skill level 4-Inflict most damage in combat, be able to pick up anything that is boulders and very heavy swords and enemy units (note that you cannot pick up houses if thats what your thinking ), biggest muscles


Health- When you have higher health skill you will be able to resist more and more damage.

Health skill level 1-Be able to resist up to 25% damage from enemy units

Health skill level 2-Be able to resist up to 50% damage from enemy units

Health skill level 3-Be able to resist up to 75% damage from enemy units

Health skill level 4-Be able to resist up to 92.5% damage from enemy units


When you get the maximum of these skills then you will be very strong and hard to defeat.
Also when you get more strength skill you get bigger muscles, and when you get higher Dexterity skill level then you will get taller as taller people tend to be more silent I think.

When you are in the human time then the things you will be able to interact and do are these:
-be able to ask things to people
-be able to ask for money (if you have higher Dexterity skill level then you will have a higher chance of the person you are asking to say yes and give you money, if you have low dexterity skill level then the chances of them saying yes is 25% chance)
-be able to do expressions like give the rude finger, swear at them, stick your tongue out at them, eye roll them, fart in their face, burp, say gibberish which would be funny hehe, and other expressions.
Also when you gain levels then you would obviously get more expressions.

Oh I forgot there would also be a General Skill level which  is this:

General skill level is attack how much attack you can do higher attack then higher strength and higher damage to enemy units, defense this would sorta contribute to your health when you get higher of this skill then the resistance of hits would increase first it would increase from 92.5% to 94.75% then increase to 97.25% then 99.9% then up to 100% and if you keep going higher then the percentage wouldnt increase it would just stay to 100% but you can still get hurt a little bit, what i mean by resist is that the damage would be lessened and wouldnt do as much.
Some creatures may do a damage of 40 and if it is decreased by 25% then it wouldnt do as much damage.
If it gets to 100% I mean your chance percentage then the creature may do very little or no damage at all.
Alternatively if you are versing a boss and you have the highest defense and highest health skill levels then the bosses damage thingy wouldnt be affected, some bosses might be affected, but some bosses may have special bonus for them, like they may have the gods praising them I dont know, or they may have very high attack skill to counter your resistance towards damage for your character.

At the start of the game you would be able to make every little aspect of your charctaer that you choose to use.

Options could be:
Mouth size
mouth width
mouth height
skull size
skull width
eye size
eye width
eye brow size
eye brow width
eye colour
eye pupil size
eyelash size
eyelash colour
and countless others that you could do.

During the game based on the number of hours you have played, your character would age a little and at the end of the game the maximum age could be 75 years old.
And when you finish the game then the age would stay the same as when you started the game as.

You would be able to carry a maximum of 5 weapons, and those may include swords, sheilds, bows and arrows, the pistol (you may wish to throw this away but that would be stupid )
You would be able to pick up various bits of battle armour or plate mail, different swords like bastard swords, scimatars, daggers, and as you increase your dexterity skill your attacks would be done faster so like your sword swinging would be faster and you could kill more enemies quicker and easier.
The sheilds may include tower shields like those the romans used and you will be able to visit the romans with the timewarp, bucklers, large shields, small shields and other kinds of shields that you will find during your adventures.

The game would be able to support over 400 creatures or things on the screen at once and would therefore need a high performance computer, as it would lag alot if you have a not so good computer.

Well I hope you like this idea for a game.

William if you like character creation like that you should try Oblivion

Has like a million trillion options

Seriously you said two or three for the mouth it has about 15 sliders for mouth options. Then theres the eyes the chin the eyebrows the forehead the cheeks the ears the nose (nose has about 30) it just goes on and on and on it's crazy

Anyways thanks to william for writing down the following. I thought of the name and some of the ideas and william and I combined them into this.

Game title: Turbulence

Game Description: A man is flying an airplane.
At about 20000 feet the plane gets heavy turbulence and the plane plummets down to the depths of the ocean.
Luckily he is near an island, he is the only survivor from the crash.
Through the game you seem to forget what happened, and the only thing you can remember is before the crash there was a bright light and some horrific looking thing that was in front of the plane window.
You then have to find your way off of the island without being killed by the local tribes who are more evolved then human civilisation.

Game techniques:

During the course of the game you can train and exercise.
The more you exercise the more stamina that you get.
The more stamina that you get the faster you can run, and the more damage you can without getting tired.
The more stamina means that you can also jump higher.
these are the different skills that you can build up with your character and the different effects that you can do when you get higher levels of them.
But first here is the experience needed to get to the certain levels:
2000 experience needed for strength skill level 1, 2100 experience needed for speed skill level 1, 1900 experience needed for health skill levelm 1.

Strength:
level 1 stength skill-able to pick up some medium weight items, able to inflict slightly more damage in combat

level 2 strength skill-able to pick up heavier things then level 1 would be able to, bigger muscles (just for looks), able to inflict more damage in combat

level 3 strength skill-able to pick up boulders and hurl them at your enemies, bigger muscles, able to inflict even more damage in combat

level 4 strength skill-able to pick up trees and smash them onto your enemies, able to inflict most damage onto enemies, biggest muscles

Dexterity:
level 1 dexterity skill-Faster movement of your character, get slightly taller which is good for climbing high ledges

level 2 dexterity skill-Faster movement, get taller, be able to make your own bows, faster combat action like your swinging with a branch or sword will be faster for example

level 3 dexterity skill-Faster movement, faster swimming, get taller still, be able to attack faster, be able to block faster, be able to make composite bows, be able to make bows faster

level 4 dexterity skill-fastest movement, fastest swimming, get tallest, faster bow making, be able to make advanced composite bows and exploding bows, be able to steal items from houses, be able to barter with nice local tribe, be able  to buy things for lower prices

Ok I have improved the game idea, it is not complete yet, so when it is complete then I will post the rest of it.

level 4 health skill-able to resist 75% damage from enemies, able to take in much more blows, after short time your wounds heal up, maximum health bar thingy.


Here are some pictures that I made from Bryce 4 demo, so they will have the metacreations logo in the background thingy, but you will know what I am talking about.


The game would be free roaming meaning you can roam anywhere without having a boarder or something, well like there would be a border when you are swimming and stuff, but you know what I mean.
You can make a weapon out of anything, like you can make an exploding arrow, make a club from branches, make trpas like holes in the ground which would contain spikes in it, make crossbow trpas so when an enemy steps on a piece of string or something, or a piece of vine, then that would trigger the crossbow trap and the crossbow would fire and strike the enemy multiple times in a row which would kill them, make swinging branches that would trigger if an enemy came to close, then the branch would fling right back into their face killing them, make a trap where if the enemy steps on a piece of string, or vine, then it would trigger a massive tree stump flying through the air and knocking them a couple of metres killing them, or a tree stump hanging above the target enemies head and then it would drop on them which would kill them.

The game would support rag doll physics which is very cool to watch.
You would be able to pick up enemy bodies and hide them in the bushes so you do not get caught by the enemy.
You would be able to steal items off of the enemy unit which has been killed.

Here are some pictures that I made from Bryce 4 demo, so they will have the metacreations logo in the background thingy, but you will know what I am talking about.

This one below is of an island that you come across, this is the island from which you swim to from the wrecked plane crash.

EDIT:
During the game you can pick up different expressions to do to the local tribespeople.
You can eyeroll them, stick your finger up at them, fart on them, burp in their face, stick your tongue out at them, poke them in the eye, spit on them, wee on them if you are that sick and many other things.

You would be able to punch, kick, block, and jump in combat, also you would be able to do handstands and stuff if you get enough experience for example maybe 4000 experience you could be able to learn handstand, and 8000 experience you would be able to do a front flip over an enemy. those sorts of things would make the game better and more enjoyable.

The game would be able to support multiplayer and you and a mate could pair up, or you could go against each other and make all kinds of traps to kill eachother and then finally win.

My idea: Pac-pong.

This is a 3-player game. Two players control black bars, in between which, five Pacman ghosts are used as balls like in Pong. In the middle, there is are 50 yellow dots and Pacman (the third player) trying to eat them. The object of the game is (for the players with the bar) to hit Pacman with a ghost, and then get at least 3 of the ghosts past the other player. For the Pacman, he should eat all of the dots before he is killed. This would be complicated by powerups. When a ghost hits a yellow dot, the dot is not destroyed, but a powerup for Pacman may be released. When Pacman eats a dot, a powerup for one of the players with bars may be released. This would be a cool game.

Name:The Abyss

Story: You are a man who has the power to move objects by Telekinesis.
As a young boy you were taken from your home and your parents were killed by a group know as The A'gald which in English means "The Holy ones".
When you reach 22 years old, you seek revenge for your dead parents, and you try and find the A'gald group and kill them.

Rating:MA15+

Game design and other stuff:

The game is set in a wasteland as you search for the A'gald.
You have to search high and low for them, and you can ask any of the people that you stumble acroos if they know where the A'gald are.
There are about 150 different people to interact and have a conversation with.
In the conversation it will be like this for example:

"good day sir, do you need any weapons" the Blakcsmith says.

Your options are as follows-

1)say yes and buy some weapons.

2)decline the offer and walk away

3)ask if he knows anything about where the A'Gald are.

4)say to shove off and ask for a fight.

Now that is how the conversation would work.
If you picked 1, then you would obviously be able to buy a bunch of weapons and the layout could be like this:

Low-Level Weapons:

That is how the weapons and armour thing could work.
If you selected number 2 as an answer, then you would simply walk away and not go near him again if you wish to do that of course.
If you selected choice number 3, then the Blacksmith would tell you what he knew about the A'gald or if he doesnt know of them.
If he does he may say something like this:
"Ayy the A'Gald, powerful swordmakers and skilled with the sword aswell.
They are situated ontop a mountain, which mountain I do not know.
But I will tell you this, as you near the foggy wastelands near the mountains of Lo'im then you should be close as you can hear there screams of the night and they surely shake terror into your skin.
Follow my advice, do not look any further for these things, as they will surely eat you alive and spit out your bones"

That is what the advice could be.
Now for you smartarses out there and you picked coice number 4, then it could go something like this:

"Ay what was that you filthy mongrel, come here you, I want to make a sword out of ye"

Then you could battle him, and if you win, then his shop will come up for sale and you can buy it.
Because of this, that means during points of the game you must be able to take a break and travel into the little village, which is good.
By getting money from the Blacksmith that you bought, if you chose to buy it, or any other bussiness or home, then you can collect gold, and you can use that to buy food, water, weapons, armour heaps of different kinds of things, which will be vital to you staying alive.

Also during the game you would be able to have sex with a woman that falls in love with you.
You can marry them and then have it over and over.
Thats why I made the game MA15+ and also for another reason which is to 'bloody' to tell, that may give you a clue.

When you buy houses and you sleep in them then your health will be restored automatically and then it will be at maximum.
If you own a Blacksmith you cannot make your own weapons until you get the proper skill which I will talk about later.
When you make your own weapon you can customize it exactly how you want it to be.
You can make the sword length, the sword sharpness, sword colour, sword reflection, sword handle type, sword handle colour, sword handle grip (in battles your sword can be knocked out of your hand if the enemy is strong, if it is a weak enemy and you are also weak then they still cant knock it out of your hand, only stronger units in the middle stages of the game can knock it out, also during the middle stage of game you can also knock their sword out of their hand and you cna pick it up and then use 2 swords for a greater chance of victory in the battle).
There could be many, many different customizations for your sword, or come to think of it, maybe for your own custom sheild aswell, or really cool, making your own customized armour.
You could also wear helmets for greater armour strength for example.

You own:
Rags armour rating of 20
Pants armour rating of 20
gloves armour rating of 10
shoes armour rating of 10
Light Helmet armour rating of 25

Now this would add up to 86 armour rating.

If you however have this:
Plate Mail armour rating of 60
Pants armour rating of 20
Gauntlets armour rating of 30
boots armour rating of 20
Armoured Helmet armour rating of 35
This would be about 175 armour rating.
The maximum would be about 200 armour rating.
The enemy would alos have a maximum armour rating of 200 except maybe bosses around the mid stages of the game, they could perhaps have a armour rating of a possible maximum of about 300 and the end bosses could have an armour rating, of a maximum possible of 500.
Now that may seem tough, but when you are at the endgame and you have progressed heaps far and you have all the weapons and stuff, you would be pretty powerful and hard to beat aswell, although your max armour rating would be 200, your maximum damage would be about 450.
When you gain your attack, defense skills these maximums would increase, only slightly by about 1.5% or maybe 2.5% increase.

Here are the different skills and stuff that you can get and stuff.

General Experience.
This is the experience that you need to actually increase levels of either strength, dexterity, health, and magic.
You will need about 1000 experience for the level 1 upgrades, about 4500 general experience for the level 2 skill upgrades, about 12000 GE to get to level 3 skill upgrades, and about 43000 GE to get to level 4 skill upgrades.
Here are the skills and what they can do for your character:

Strength:
level 1- can inflict about 0.5% more damage in combat, can lift slightly heavier things like some medium sized rocks, branches and other things.
level 2- can inflict 1.25% more damage in combat, can pick up heavier things like large rocks, and heavier branches.
level 3- can inflict 2.45% more damage in combat, can life things that weigh about 3/4 of you.
level 4- can inflict 4.5% more damage in combat, can life things that are the same weight or things that are about 1.25% heavier than you.

Dexterity:
level 1- can run about 0.25% faster, can swim about 0.25% faster, get about 0.34% taller.
level 2- can run about 0.55% faster, can swim about 0.55% faster, get about 0.67% taller.
level 3- can run about 1.25% faster, can swim about 1.25% faster, get about 0.89% taller.
level 4- can run about 2.35% faster, can swim about 2.35% faster, get about 1.25% taller, can make bows, barter with tradesmen and shopkeepers with a 50% chance of getting half of the price for the itme that you want.

Health:
level 1- health increase of about 0.55%, can take 0.55% of damage in combat
level 2- health increase of about 1.22%, can take 0.89% of damage in combat
level 3- health increase of about 1.56%, can take 1.25% of damage in combat
level 4- health increase of about 5.67%, can take 2.35% of damage in combat

Magic:
level 1- your spells become 1.55% stronger, can learn up to level 2 spells
level 2- your spells become 3.67% stronger, can learn up to level 3 spells
level 3- your spells become 15.2% stronger, can learn up to level 4 spells
level 4- your spells become 32.7% stronger, can learn up to level 5 spells


These skills you can learn during the game and there are three levels of them, basic, advanced and expert level.
They can increase your attack, defense, gold earnings and other things.

Basic offense: inflict up to 5% more damage in combat
Advanced offense: inflict up to 12.56% more damage in combat
Expert Offense: inflict up to 25% more damage in combat
Basic Defense: resist 10% more damage in combat
Advanced Defense: resist 15% more damage in combat
Expert Defense: resist 25% more damage in combat
Basic Gold: earn up to 300 gold each day
Advanced Gold: earn up to 600 gold each day
Expert Gold: earn up to 1200 gold each day
Basic Archery: inflict 5% more damage while using a bow and arrow.
Advanced Archery: inflict 15% more damage while using a bow and arrow
Expert Archery: inflict 25% more damage while using a bow and arrow
Basic Bartering: have a 5% increase to Bartering when you have level 4 Dexterity skill.
Advanced Bartering: have a 15% increase to Bartering when you have level 4 Dexterity skill.
Expert Bartering: have a 20% increase to Bartering when you have level 4 Dexterity skill.
Basic Sorcery: 10% increase to magic skill
Advanced Sorcery: 15% increase to magic skill
Expert Sorcery: 20% increase to magic skill
Basic speed: 5% increase in speed on land and water
Advanced speed: 10% increase to speed on land and water
Expert speed: 15% increase to speed on land and water
Basic health: 5% increase towards health
Advanced Health: 15% increase towards health
Expert Health: 25% increase towards health
Basic Blacksmithery: be able to make basic weapons
Advanced Blacksmithery: be able to make advanced weapons

Basic Sight: have a 5% increase to see whats infront of you
Advanced Sight: have a 10% increase to see whats infront of you
Expert Sight: have a 20% increase to see whats infront of you
Basic Accuracy: increase of 5% on how accurate you are with spells or arrows
Advanced Accuracy: increase of 10% on how accurate you are with spells or arrows.
Expert Accuracy: increase of 25% on how accurate you are with spells and arrows.


Now when you play through the game you will get offered these skills.
When you also play you will get different shall we say titles.
If you use fighting with swords and stuff then you will be known as a Warrior.
If you use the Bow and Arrow mostly then you will be known as a Archer or something like that or maybe known as a Rogue thats better I think .
And if you use Magic alot then you will be known as a Wizard.
Now the skills or something will be like this for each title, like the chance of getting the skills offered to you.

Now the Warrior has the highest chance of getting the skills offense, defense and Blacksmithery.
The Rogue has the highest chance of getting Bartering, Archery and Accuracy.
The Wizard has the highest chance of getting Sorcery, Accuracy and gold.

Here is how the attack and defense skills work.

Attack, this increases the amount of attack strength that you have, or the damage that you do during combat.
Defense is where you can take hits or resist them.
Here is how it works:

Attack:
level 1- increase damage by about 0.25%
level 2- increase damage by about 0.55%
level 3- increase damage by about 0.85%
level 4- increase damage by about 1.25%
level 5- increase damage by about 1.55%
level 6- increase damage by about 2.10%
level 7- increase damage by about 3.45%
level 8- increase damage by about 4.55%
level 9- increase damage by about 6.55%
level 10- increase damage by about 7.55%

Defense:
level 1- damage reduced by 0.95%
level 2- damage reduced by 1.55%
level 3- damage reduced by 3.34%
level 4- damage reduced by 5.54%
level 5- damage reduced by 6.25%
level 6- damage reduced by 7.26%
level 7- damage reduced by 8.5%
level 8- damage reduced by 8.60%
level 9- damage reduced by 9.10%
level 10- damage reduced by 10%

*damage meaning the enemy damage done to you is reduced, not the damage that you inflict on others.


The time system in the game would run like this:
it would be to 12:00 at night to 12:00 at night but the next day, so basically 24 hours in time.
A minute in the game would be about either 5 or 10 seconds in real life.
The game would automatically run by the internal computer clock, so if you dont have the right time then you better change it to the right time!!!


The weather system.
Here are the effects of what the different kinds of weather can do to you:
Sunny weather- you can walk faster on ground, and you can see better and 5% further.
Rainy weather- you walk slower, and you see about 1.25% less distance
Foggy weather- you walk normal speed, and you see about 20% less distance
Snowy weather- you walk about double as slow as normal, and you see about 10% less distance.

The different weather types have different affects on you, so you should watch out for these.

In the game you can climb moutains, walk on snow, walk in the mud, and other places.

Now on to the enemies.
The enemies will range like this:
weak
stronger
stronger
strongest.

The weaker enemies will not have any bonuses to them.
Like some enemies may be for example immune to certain kinds of spells.
Like the lave servants who serve A'gald will be immune to fire spells, like fireball, or firewall, or firewave or anything like that
The stronger enemies will have bonues to them, for example some may have no reducement in movement while it is snowing, or some may be fast when it is raining or something like that.


Now on to the spell system.

The spell system which is mainly for the Wizards will have a certain amount of mana you may say, and when that mana is empty, like you have no more mana left, then you wont be able to cast anymore spells until you drink a potion that will increase it again.
The maximum mana that you can have is about 300.
Here are the some of the spells (I will update spell list later on )

level 1 spells:
Fireball
Electric energy
Rain
Haste
Charged Bolt

Spell descriptions:

Fireball- A ball of fire which is hurled to the target enemy.
It has a damage rating of about 20, but when you have Sorcery it will be increased.
It can affect a single unit, but when Sorcery increases then it will target multiple enemies if they are close to eachother.
A good spell to take care of weak enemies.

Electric Energy- When you gather electricity and then make it into energy and throw it at an enemy, then that is called Electric Energy.
Electric Energy has a damage of about 25 but when you have higher Sorcery skill then it will be increased.
Electric Energy can strike up to 4 enemies at once, but the damage done will be lessened with each enemy.
Say for example you target one creature, the spell will do about 25 damage, then it will strike the next enemy creature and it will be halved, then the next one the spell will be a quarter damage and the next enemy creature will take about 5% lower than a quarter of the damage.
When however you have higher Sorcery then the dmage reducment with each multiple creature will be taken away and the reducment will be gone and the spell will do same damage to each enemy creature.

Rain- You can use this when you want to summon rain to come down from the skies and then make your movment and the enemies movement slower, giving you a chance to cast different spells at them.
Sorcery doesnt effect this spell, because Rain doenst do any damage.

Haste- Use this spell when you want 50% increased movement.
Very handy when you have multiple enemies attacking you at once and you just need to quickly get rid of them with increased speed.
Sorcery doesnt effect this spell, but Expert Sorcery can make the speed increasment about 80%.

Charged Bolt- Use this when you have a weak enemy infront of you.
Alternatively you can use this spell if you want to lightne up dark rooms, or to attack enemies.
This spell has a damage of about 30 and can only strike one enemy at a time which is bad if you are being overrun by enemies.
When you get higher Sorcery, it will increase the damage, but it wont increase the target area, you will still be able to target only 1 creature at a time.
A good spell nonetheless.

Thats just an example of how the spells will be and their descriptions will be.

During the game you will be able to talk to many different people.
Here is a conversation that you may have, and the choices have already been done so dont worry about that.
Here is the example conversation:
william: "good day, could you tell me where A'gald castle is?"
traveller: "yes it is just up over those hills"
william: "tell me more"
traveller: "well when you pass the pond of fortune, then you turn right into the abyss"
william: "the abyss?"
traveller: "yes the abyss, the place where many people have gone, but have never returned"
william: "oh I see, could you tell me much about what the castle looks like?"
traveller: "sorry sir but I cannot as I have never dared to go into the abyss, I dont want to die you know"
william: "very well, thankyou for your help, oh by the way, could you please tell me about the pond of fortune?"
traveller: "yes, it is marvellous, many people have gone there and then they instantly feel refreshed and vitalized, I have been there myself and it made me feel all warm inside and happy aswell"
william: "thankyou for your help, I will see you again"
traveller: "goodbye sir, I hope you dont go into the abyss"
william: "im planning on venturing in there, wish me luck"
traveller: "ohh good luck, I hope you live to tell the tale"
william: "I will dont worry, well goodbye and I will see you again"
traveller: "goodbye sir"

Thats how a typical conversation may go, it may be different or virtually the same as that.
With shopkeepers it is different, as you can ask for things and buy things, rather than just ask questions and get information and stuff.
With the various armour that you can get through the course of the game, that armour will increase your defense skill.
If it is Chain mail it will increase your defense skill by about 10%.
If it is full plate mail, then it will increase defense skill by about 50%.

The game would support maybe 1-3 players, and each can be either a warrior, Rogue or a wizard for good and mixed gameplay.
You could do coop mode and finish the game with your friends.
During the game it would get slightly harder and harder, with being quite hard at the endgame.
When you finish the agme you can keep on going.
You can do many, many various side-quests when you have finished and you can just have heaps of fun playing.

The character Customization.
You can customize your own specialised character with many hundreds of options.
You can customize everything about your own made character incluidng hair type, hair colour, mouth size, eye size just to name a few.
Your character will also age during the game to a maximum age of about 55 years old.
Your character will age everytime you upgrade a skill for your character like strength, dexterity, health and magic.

Those are just some of them, but when you actually get the game if it was made , then there would be heaps more options, hundreds more options.
Some of the others would include chest size, height of body, weight of body, body colour and many more others to come.

Items throughout the land
The items that you may find throughout your quest may be many different things.
It could be health potions which increase your health, magic potions which would increase your mana really good if you are running out of mana and you are overrun by enemy creatures, apples do increase your health by only little, meat to increase health, the unique things which increase your attack or defense skills permanently.
There could be a whole range of items, could be hundreds or even thousands of items.
You can also collect books which can be found throughout the land and some of them are funny, some others are informative and vital for your success in your quest.
Some books may be like this:

"In the land before time, the ancient A'gald turned against their masters who were known only as the Bringers of Death.
They were a tribe filled with hate and greed, and when their masters betrayed them, they fought back and won, and the Bringers of Death ceased to exist.
This was long ago in the time of the War. It was a dreadful time and only one person could save them, and he had 2 sons, which then had 2  more sons and then they had 2 more sons and then one of them only had 1 son.
That one son is (main characters name here) and he is the descendant to bring evil to it's knees."

This book would be found in the end parts of the game because during the quest you are also trying to find yourself aswell.
Those kinds of books add twists and turns throughout the plot of the story and it makes the game more fun and surprising because you never know what you may find next.

This is of a beautiful sunset, I really like it.
This could be when you want to look out at the seaside and just look at all the stars and comets come by.

This could be the town picture.
And that guy could be either a person who lives in the town, or it could be the Blacksmith, or some other shady character.
I like how one side of it's face is light and the other is dark.

This picture could be when you are near the end of the game and it is either a cinematic sequence where it shows either a short or long movie thing, or it could be well I dont know.

Here is probably the best one in my opinion.
It looks really cool with the sun outline in the background/horizon and the mountain looks good and so does the water.
This picture is really good and in the game it could be where you are travelling by boat to try and find out more information about your quest.

In the year 2007, evil zealots and amazonesses have taken over the capital business apartments in Adelaide. You office complex has been trashed, among others nearby. Game Idea.
----------

Title of game: Drugs and Death

Story: As a young man you grew up into a world full of violence and drugs.
You control a man named Gregory Witkin, and you are 25 years old.
You grow up into a world which is mainly about drugs, violence and chaos.
You are trying to forget the memories of your past which haunt you in your dreams but you cannot forget them.
You must find out what happened in your past which was so bad and horrifying and then will you know the answer that you seek to find.

Game stuff:

The game would be set in the year 2023  and your city is a bustling metropolis.
You must gather clues in order to find the answer you seek.
The game would be free raoming, meaning that you can go anywhere you like and at any pace that you like.
When you start you would firstly start off as a bum and then find all the answers and slower become normal again, like one of the ordinary citizens.
Te game would be able to feature about 100 different characters at once on the screen.
You can interact with every person that you see and you can do these things:
Punch them
Ask them for money
Rob them
Talk to them and find out information
Just kill them

The conversation system may go like this:

william: "Hey give me some money"
person: "No get away from me you bum"
what do you want to do:
1)punch him
2)Rob him
3)ask about the man named Daniel
4)Ask for money again.
You chose 3.
william: "Do you know anything about a man named Daniel"?
person: "Daniel who?"
william: "He wears a dark grey suit, always has bodyguards around him, he has a ponytail and he is about 6 foot high"
person: "Oh do you mean Daniel Gretin, yes he is well known around here, but you better watch out, he is a drug dealer and will do anything for money"
william: "Thankyou for your help"
What do you want to do now?
1)say goodbye and walk away
2)Rob him
3)Ask if he knows the way to Daniels home
4)Simply kill him
You chose 1
william: "Well thankyou for your help, goodbye"
person: "goodbye,   you bum"

That is how the conversation system may work.
There would be many more options to choose from, instead of just ask this, rob him, kill him, walk away, ask for money etc etc.

In the game you would be able to interact with over 50 vehicles including:
Taxi cab, truck, monorail, motorbike, bicycle, scooter, skateboard, train, SUV, Helicopter, Tank, Police car, firetruck, ambulance car etc etc.
You would be able to pull different stunts with them aswell like:
Quick brake
2 wheels
360 turn
And many more
You can also shoot from the car if you have a gun avaliable. You would be able to shoot out the front window, and out of the sides, and back window.
You can also jump out of your car while it is still moving.

When you get shot or hit, then you would have only 5 or 10 hits before you die, just to make it as realistic as possible.
If you get shot in the head then you die instantly.
You can get knocked unconcious and then wake up a few hours later, or you may wake up in a bin or something like that.
It depends on who you fought and if they were strong then they would probably have left you were you got knocked out, but if the person was weak then you will probably find yourself in a dumpster or something else like that.
The reason: because usually the strong people in real life usually leave you where you fell, and the weak onse usually get their friends and stuff and put you in a dumpster or something.
That woul probably happen in real life.

When you shoot someone in the head then they die instantly.
If you get shot in the arm then you cannot use that arm until you get it healed.
If you get shot in the leg, then you will limp until it gets healed by a doctor or something.
If you get shot in the chest then you would have maybe 5 or 10 minutes to get your butt to the hospital or something like that.
If you dont make it in the alloted time then you will die.
If you get shot in the heart then you instantly die, and if they get shot in the heart then they also die instantly.

The items that you can pick up will be at a maximum of only 10 items that you can put in your backpack.
These may include, water bottles which increase your health by 25%, gun for killing your enemies, body armour for when you need armour, and other things.
Later I will list nearly all of the items that you would be able to use in Drugs and Death.

The movements that you can do with your character would be this:
Jump
Crawl
Tiptoe
Sneak
Flip
Double flip
Backflip
Double backflip
Sideroll left
sideroll right
roll back
roll forward
get on ground
get on ground backwards
get on ground roll left
get on ground roll right
Walk
Jog
Run
Sprint

And many other things.

You can also hold your enemies hostage, put a gun to their head, interrogate them, throw them into something, kick them, punch them, bite them, roll into them, eye gouge them, headbutt them, upercut them, knee them in the stomach, kick them in the private area, and other things.

You can pick up items and then bash them.
Some of these items may include:
Crowbar
Baton
Stick
Branch
Pole
Metal pole
Bin
Bricks
Buckets
Garbage and many other things.

The games characters would have full facal movement including mouth movement, eye movements, ear movements, jaw movements, head movements, nose movements, and others.

Here is the list of the items that would appear in the game.
Note: This may noit be all of the items, I am tired and I may miss some things.
I will list item names and what they do.
Here we go:

Water bottle: adds 25% health
Large Water bottle: adds 50% health
Body Armour: adds armour
Large Body Armour: adds 150% armour or 50% more
Medikit: adds 50% health
Large Medikit: adds 100% health
crowbar: to hit or kill your enemies with
Pole: to hit or kill your enemies with
Metal pole: to hit or kill your enemies with
Bricks: to hit or kill your enemies with
Garbage bins: to hit or kill your enemies with
Shopping trolley: to knock out your enemies and give them a little damage
garbage bags: to hit your enemies with doesnt do much damage at all
Stick: to hit or kill your enemies with (Note: that when you repeadately hit your enemy with this, that it will get smaller and smaller because parts of the stick keep snapping off)
large stick: to hit or kill your enemies with (Note: that when you repeadately hit your enemy with this, that it will get smaller and smaller because parts of the stick keep snapping off)
Broom:to hit or kill your enemies with
Football: To throw at your enemies, and a 50% chance to knock them out
Soccerball: To throw or kick at your enemies, with a 50% chance to knock them out.
Drug needle: random effects to your character, may be hallucinations, loss of health, loss of balance, get weaker, get 2x stronger, cant see properly, and other things.
Briefcase: contains money which you can have or you can use the briefcase to hurt your enemies with
Pistol: to injure or kill your enemies with, a shot to the head will kill
Mahince gun: to injure or kill your enemies with, a shot to the head will kill.
UZI: to injure or kill your enemies, a shot to the head will kill.
Shotgun: to injure or kill your enemies, extremely lethal at close range, useless at long ranger, a shot to the head will kill.
Sawn-off shotgun: to injure or kill your enemies, extremely lethal at close range, useless at long range, a shot to the head will kill.
Shuriken: to greatly injure your enemies, or to kill them if it strikes their hearts or head, you throw this item.
Grenade: To kill your enemies or yourself if you are not careful.
Rocket Launcher: To kill your enemies, or yourself, to take out any type of vehicle.
Grenade Launcher: to kill your enemies, or yourself, to take out any type of vehicle if the grenade lands next to it.
Sticky Grenade: to kill your enemies, or yourself, can stick to mostly anything, will explode when you detonate it with your hand-held detonater.
Sniper Rifle: to kill your enemies, very powerful gun any shot anywhere will kill you or them, extremely good at long ranger. Different types of sniper rifles will include:
Long ranger sniper rifle- 2x scope view
Army sniper Rifle- 3.5x scope view
XJ 56879 Sniper rifle- Prototype rifle, has 9.5x scope view, will kill any enemy with one shot only.
Has a detachable grenade launcher aswell.
Axe: to injure or kill your enemies, can also be used to knock down doors or break windows.
Flash bombs: to blind your enemies and yourself for a limited time.
Fire extinguisher: To hurt or knock your enemies out can also take out fires with ease.
Flamethrower: To kill and burn your enemies to a crisp, can also blow up cars, and cause fires to start.
packet of chips: increase your health by 10%
Apple: increase your health by 15%
Meat Pic: increase your health by 20%
Roast Chicken: increase your health by 25%

Those are some or most of the items that are avaliable to you during the game.
I will add some more when I get the chance to

The cars would have realistic damage models, and every crash or something that you have will damage the car and make some things not work until the car has been crashed enough and then it dies and then will explode within 5 to 10 seconds.

The expressions or things you can say are these:
Burp
Fart
Laugh
talk
Shout
Talk out loud
Poke tounge out
Eye roll
Shake head
Nod head
Shake head uncontrollably
Smile
Evil smile
Smirk
Frown
Wink
And many more which I will probably add later on.

The game would have a customization thing where you can create every little detail of your character.

During the game you can take over shops and stores and then earn profit from them to maybe buy new cloths, new cars, new stuff.
When you get more money people will want to talk to you more.
For example here is two conversations.
One where you have no money and the other where you have tons of money.

Conversation 1:
william: "hey do you know where I can find the Tiki palace?"
person: "No get away from me you homeless bum"
william: "Can I have some money please"
person: "Security, get this man away from me"

Conversation 2:
william: "hey do you know where I can find the Tiki palace?"
person: "Yeah mate, it is just to the right of the Gog't hotel"
william: "thanks, could I have some money please"
person: "Sure you can, but don't tell anyone else, I promised to buy my wife a gold ring, could you not tell her please?"
william: "Sure thanks for the money, see you later"
person: "see you later"

See how conversation2 went more smoothly and better then conversation 1 where you were going to get taken away by police and put into jail for about 1 or 2 nights.

The game would be a day/night switching thing.
The time would be that every second of real life time, would be a minute in game time.
Or it could be that minute would be about 5 minutes in game time.
The game would switch to dawn, late morning, noon, late afternoon, sunset, night, midnight.
The game would also have a weather system which would affect the gamepla.
Say for example if it was foggy, then you would only be able to see a few metres infront of you.
And if it were sunny, then you would be able to see about a kilometre infront of you.
See the difference.
If it were raining then a vehicles performance would dramaticly change.
Like a cars brakes wouldnt be as effective, and you wouldnt be able to se as far because of the rain pouring down onto your windscreen and the window wipers going heavily at work, it would seem a bit to much, but it is all par to of the game and that is what would make it special.

When in the game you can pick any of the cloths, pants, jeans, shorts, shoes anything that you want to wear.
Some of these may be stronger then others, like some may protect you better than say rags or something like that.
You would be able to pick any of these and these are just some of the clothing that you can buy or steal during the game.

All the clothing represents how you look, and the better clothing that you have then the better protection you have, and the more people will be wanting to talk to you.
Someone wouldnt talk to you if you had say rags on for example.
They would be more willing to talk if you had a bussiness suit on for example.
The better the cloths the better the conversation and the better protection also helps aswell.

During the game you can also buy your own houses, apartments, or steal someones house.
You can also rob peoples houses and then sell the items that you stole for a little extra money so you can buy that new suit that you saw in the store.
When you buy a house or apartment you can put anything that you want in there.
You can put chairs, sofas, beds, gun racks, new wallpapers, stero systems, widescreen TVS, safes, and many more things.
Also police can break into your house and steal illegal items that you bougth or stole from illegal stores.
You can also be robbed by citizens that live in the city, aswell as this people can steal your house aswell, and you will have to find a way to get it back and kill or injure the person that stole your house or apartment.

They game would have rag doll physics which is like realistic human body movement on the different characters that you kill in the game.
If something explodes right beside them then there body will have all of these realistic movements and it looks really cool, and fun to watch waht happens to their bodies.

During the course of the game your characters body and face will change.
If you get hit in the face alot then you will develop scars and all that.
If you get beaten up in the chest all the time then your character will have a weird stance like sorta hunched.
If you get hit on legs then you may not be able to walk really well and you may not be able to jump as high, or to run as fast.
All these things can make the game harder, easier or just better to look at all the scars and all that.


Well here are some pictures that I have made myself, with some objects that I downloaded off of this site but I cant remember hat.

They both look really good in my opinion.
I like the first one, because of the cool explosion and the bus being flipped, it all looks really cool in my opinion.

I'd like to see a realistic action game, which would be fun if done well.

By realistic I mean, you can't get cleaved in the head 90 times by an axe and be fine, and then get hit one more time and be dead.

Or you can take 1000 bullets.

And a *silver dwarven sword* doesnt do triple the damage of a *iron sword*, if theyre both sharp they should be about the same right?

And doors! I dont need a key, *****, i've got this rocket launcher!

I know that the getting shot a few times and dying thing would be hard, but you could compensate with body armour, which at least makes sense, but like if you get shot in the foot it'll be hard to walk, or if you get shot in the head you're DEAD...

They had a pretty good go at this in Splinter Cell, I guess you would have to be all sneaky-like to avoid getting shot, or the game Thief you have to avoid getting slashed.


Just a thought. In all RPGs you can get stabbed like a million times, and even when youve got 9999 arrows sticking out of you you're still fine until that *last* one comes along. Doesnt make much sense.
