CONTEST- Master Thread
You let out a sigh of relief as you sit in your chair, and a wicked grin sweeps it's way across your scarred face. Today's the day. You tap the large, flat stone in the wall in front of you. Twice. It disappears, seemingly, but then in it's place you see a small, round room, full of unconcious men and women of all sorts.. a viewing portal for your little game.
Stupid, ignorant people. Not people, playthings... for your unresting mind.
They don't know anything. They don't know how they got there, they don't know the other people in the dark room, and they don't know why they are slowly dying.
And they have no idea that they are now, each and every one, a Contestant, and you... you in your timeless wisdom and cruelty, you are their new Master.
Welcome to the CONTEST. This is the Master thread, where you watch, judge, and decide the fate of the Contestants, by reading the Contestant Thread, where the Roleplayers will post to their very best.
Every Trial (first trial is two weeks), every Contestant will post at least once. Make sure you're able to commit to this, because after that week one of the Contestants will be Eliminated, as per vote by the Master (everyone).
Make sure we get lots of votes to make this interesting. If you get the most votes, (after everyone will send their votes to me via HCM), you will die in the Contestant thread, by any means. You can post your own death, get someone else to do it, or get the Master to do it (either me or a volunteer master for the trial).
The focus of this Contest is to test the Contestants roleplaying abilities. After 7 trials (there are seven contestants), there will be only one Champion left, hopefully the best roleplayer (although you can vote out strategically). The environment is just a setting in which we can produce one winner, and in some trials we will have suggestions of Challenges which the contestants must face to test their adaptability.
Sign up here if you're willing to join, Post your Contestants name, but nothing else. Try and reveal your character in the story, and you're not allowed to talk about him/her outside the thread, because that would be cheating.
The basic idea is that you have to find a way out of the Castle, and theres various dangers which will confront, and kill, you. Once you're voted out, you take the next post to describe your death, go out with flying colours, whatever. If you get eliminated by not posting, I'll post your death.
Theme is obviously fantasy (as we all love) Heroes type thing, but it's pretty free you can change the story completely as we go along. Be original! Make up the monsters, post well, do whatever.
Whatever it takes, to be Champion.

Cool thanks TDL try your best, even if you can just spare a minute to check the thread.
Well, as PC rightfully pointed out, theres more members than we can well fit in a poll, and he suggested that all votes come to me, and I think thats about right 
But another idea of his was that I don't tell everyone whos out, just HCM the contestant who is eliminated and they can give a surprise.

TRIAL ONE
Trial one will last for two weeks, in which every contestant must post. After that, there will be around three days (depending on how many votes we get) in which all votes will be sent to me.
I will PM the contestant who has been eliminated. Then we will decide how they shall die, and if I don't get a reply, either I or someone not participating in the thread could post as the Master killing the eliminated contestant.
Trial One: Monday 8th May, 1300 GMT - Monday 22nd May, 1300 GMT
If anyone wants to step up to be the Master for Trial One, if the eliminated contestant does not reply, then let me know before the 22nd and we'll talk.
NOTE TO ALL CONTESTANTS:

NOTE TO MASTER (VIEWERS):
Get as many people as you can to read and vote after the 22nd.
The next few trials will be less than 2 weeks, probably 1 week and will get smaller as will the number of contestants. 2 weeks is a long time, but we need everyone to post.

I have a few questions concerning the RP
The first is more of a deduction, rather than a question. From what I've seen, each RPer will act for himself/herself and the RP will more or less look like a PRP for each person. As per rules, I predict that you will not be able to involve in a dialogue (I hope I am not right with this one) with one another's character, not to mention auto it.
The second once concerns the screenplay and gameplay of the "game". We are in a castle, desperate to get out, right? What is the exact time model... I mean, are we in fantasy historical era or like in the Imagination thread, a futuristic one (less likely)? Also, are we allowed to create characters that are not only agile, strong or witty, but those that use magical powers or draw their strength from somewhere else.
Third one would be whether I am allowed to create NPCs that would somehow become my allies or disturb me on my way out. I'd like to have some dialogues introduced into the story, so as not to make monologue or made from third-person perspective.
Also, I'd like to know if I am allowed to dress my character according to my own wish at the start of the RP. AFAIK, you start out naked, but I would be pleased to find my character not strip in front of female characters... and some awkward male ones (The character would have enough time to take off his clothing in front of femmes after the competition ends )
The last one is... ummm... Where the hell we are supposed to post? I was about to begin creating my first entry when I realized that there is no place to post, as the Master thread is an OOC one, and the story should be developed in another one. Cheers!

Good questions TDL hope I can clear things up.
It's not a PRP, because I think you mistook that you can ONLY post once, whereas that's not true. You can post as often as you think will be viewed as good Roleplaying, in order to not get voted out. This way we should have some good dialogue coming out.
I think any autoing should be kept minimal, but if need be the autoing will count towards the Rper doing the autoing, not the character autoed (if thats a word ) so if someone autos you character really badly that will inflect badly upon them not you, but it might still screw up your plans for story, so again keep it minimal.
NPCs.... well, I guess if we keep this RP pretty free then we can bring out the best in storytelling in our RPers, and that's basically what this contest is, just a way to decide the best RPer by putting them in this situation. If you think NPCs will help you, that's fine. Just as long as you don't have a whole army or something out of control like that.
Again, with the setting, I think I said it was fantasy, but again the idea is to bring out the roleplayers imagination and originality, but not to the extent of the Imagination thread i guess, keeping it in a Fantasy environment. Same thing goes for the characters. This thread isn't focusing on the SETTING and ENVIRONMENT but the characters in it. Dress as you please
And with the IC thread, I will create the Contestant thread on Monday, if you want to prepare your post put it in word or something. Thanks
New Idea:
I'm thinking maybe in later trials the Master (all of you) could contribute a challenge the Contestants have to get through, to test their Roleplaying skills at adapting.
What do you think?

just a side note to the contestants, make your death good, go out with a bang, ect, ect. as at the end there will be a vote, where everyone votes for whose death was the best
at the end when the champion is crowned, i will let TA handle it. if he doesnt for what ever reason then i will
so make your death memorable

I have a suggestion for the players.
In this thread briefly talk about your "magic abilities", as this is a fantasy setting. I think once people start talking about their "powers" then everybody will have a better idea of exactly what type of genre this is and how much magic will play a role in the story.
just an idea...
btw so far there's been no magic, which is actually my preference as a reader....
