Word of Light

I found it weird in the TotE Demo, the Knights were able to use that spell and do damage on the Orcs...

The info specifically says, "Deals holy damage to all the undead and infernal creatures on a battlefield."

Though, when I check in-game, it says "undead and demons". And since their "Raging Blood" makes them half human, half demon, I guess it would work...right?

Well, orcs are half-demon, so it makes sense it works on them. The important question would be: Did it affect your Wyverns?

If that's the case, it probably works against the evil factions in general now.

I also noticed that in the skillwheel, Master of Pain refers to "Unholy Word" rather than "Curse of the Netherworld". So it could be that the spell now affects all good factions in turn.

Nah it was like that in the old skillwheel too. I'll admit that I like the name Curse of Netherworld, it carries some weight.

Are you sure Skullman? Corpfox said they were hurt by WoL.
I think one of you would be wrong.. Or the orcs are hurt by both.

I think they are hit by CoTN, personally.
The description of WoL said it hits only Infernal and undead creatures.

It was surely nice spell in H4 but maybe too powerfull in H5. What you think what should determine the spell power? x number of Spell power kills x number of creatures (example 5 x power equals 1 creature) and would hero level boost the spell effect and what about spell mastery? It's widly overpowered because it must be usefull to be good and by that it would be real lv7 killer. It would be make nice mod tough.

Hmm not sure about that spell.  Would be basically like a powerful implosion spell (which is destructive).  Maybe instead it would give creatures something like a harm touch ability that allows them to kill at least one creature regardless?  Could even be massed.

Question About Raise Dead



I got a question about "Raise Dead"
The skill description is:

Reanimates creatures in target friendly stack. Undead creatures are brought
back to "life", all other creatures are re-animated for the duration of the battle
only. Every use of this spell decreases hit points of target stack by 20%.


About "Every use of this spell decreases hit points of target stack by 20%."

Question 1: Is the effect only during battle? Or does it permanently decrease my stack HP.

Question 2: When's the best time i use this spell? Taking this 20% penalty in?

The hp loss of both ressurrection and raise dead is during the current battle only.  The best time to use it is when the results are > then the hitpoint loss. If the damage the additional creatures would deal is worth the hp loss then yes.  If not, then no.  When the enemy has few creatures left, start casting with abandon however, especially if you know you can take them out quickly.

One more trick about rise the dead becouse many people don't know it. All of this is RUBBISH: "Undead creatures are brought back to "life", all other creatures are re-animated for the duration of the battle only."

Just use vampirizm and than cast rise the dead.



I have a hard question about one spell from campaing. About Call Ill-Hijra. How can I use it in map editor? I was able to select it for a hero to learn him but even when I change city name for Ill-Hijra I couldn't use it. Any Heroes masters here ?

That's a campaign specific spell, I'm guessing it requires a script to work.

IIm-Hira or llm-Hira

Someone please explain the spell "Summon IIM-Hira" or "llm-Hira" to me?

HOMM V; TOTE!
Making map, it's in the Shrine of Incantation (L1 spells), and I can't tell if its IIM or llm, but it's available near bottom of list in the shrine listed, if you choose to custom the shrine.

I was curious what it was, don't remember ever seeing it playing the game, so I looked up on the info section of HC, even under the TotE spell books, I looked through every school of study, all 5x levels, and it's no where to be found.

Further, I used the search field for the website found under the different HOMM vs drop list, and i still have no explanation.

Does anyone know? Please explain.
