I dont know what it was, but when Nicolai used it against me in the campaign, his clones got to act instantly, and that was not nice when he had 10k skeleton archers.

Totally overpowered, absolutely no cloning of level 7 creatures, even 6 is a bit iffy for me. 50% incorporeal? bah even worse. Massive nerfs are necessary, like 10-30% of stack created, takes 25/50% more damage, inflicts 25/50% less damage, no unique skills, max tier 5-6.

If fantom forces got nerfed this much it would be useless. No one would ever cast it if it only cloned 10-30% of original stack. It would be better to cast a basic ice bolt that would do more damage than the clone. The only modification I think it needs is to make it unable to phantom force on clones. As some people have said, against a human player it is not overpowered because there are so many factors that can make it fail. Its easy to get rid of with a simple spell, any damage that it takes will kill it even 1 little peasant, and there is a huge timing issue to factor in. You have to be careful and calculate timing and initiative if you want your clone to survive which makes it a gamble sometimes. In a closely matched battle wasting a turn casting a clone that doesnt survive long enough to act can be the difference between winning and losing. I had a battle like this recently where I used my first hero turn to clone my stack of Titans. Well my opponent used his half gone stack of shadow dragons on my clone and destroyed them before they acted. If the dragons had missed not only would my titan clones have finished them off with retaliation but also had a chance to attack and that would have been a mjor factor in the battle. The point is that I wasted a critical hero turn by gambling on phantom forces when I had plenty of other good options as well and that offset the battle enough that his statistically stronger units overwhelmed me. Against AI its a very powerful spell if used right, against other human player its a gamble.

Phantom forces imo was designed 100% for markof the wizard abuse.

2 clones on opposite ends of the field gurantees one gets actions. At least one.

I know this sounds so stupid but since I've never used it...
what does mark of the wizard does? double damage for spells on target? affects two creatures?

You set MoTW on a target, friendly or hostile.

Any time you cast a spell, the spell is also cast on that target. If you target the creature with MoTW on it then the spell is cast twice on that target.

Obviously, if you set MoTW on a hostile target and you cast ressurrection, you won't ressurrect your enemies

Ya that is a good way to use phantom forces but if you use MoTW and wait that much longer to cast phantom forces there is a good chance that at least one of the stacks that you want to clone is half gone by the time you clone it.

Later in the game, it may result with a powerful phantom + resurrection combo with djinns and MotWed titans. Such a shame that except attack and defense PF doesn't copy original stats.. Phantom has 0 luck, 0 morale, base initaive, damage and speed.
