Poll Question:
Should HOMM 4 Include Ultimate Artifacts?
Should HOMM 4 include the Ultimate Artifacts again, and if so, with or without the Grail? I think the Ultimate Artifacts should return, along with the Grail. What do you think?

bring back the ultimate artifact and grail must stay and i want my treasure idea in HoMM 4 
(if i only knew how 2 contact them )

Well, they did give large bonuses to Attack, Defence, Spell Power or Knowledge, but since those primary skills will no longer exist, they could invent more and give bonuses for ALL of the primary skills. Also, the Golden Goose that once gave you 10,000 gold a day was very special indeed (I've only dug it up twice or thrice, but it is sweet!). Although 10,000 gold is a bit much for every day... Maybe 10,000 a week? 1000 a day?

Well, in heroes 2 i liked those ultimate artifacts a lot, and it was kinda sad to see that they were gone and replaced by the grail. But I don't really care about the grail. Allthough, I think that it would be cool if regular artifacts could also be buried and you would have to find the location in a riddle or something else instead of a map. What you think?

Nice idea Darkspirit!
That's what I thought the "Dig for Artifacts" option was when I first started playing (Digging for normal artifacts [At the time I had no idea ultimate artifacts existed!])

the ultimate artifacts in HoMM 2 were -
-Ultimate sword---12 attack
-Ultimate shield--6 attack 6 defence
-Ultimate wand----12 spell power
-Ultimate book----12 knowlege
-Ultimate cloak---12 defence
-Ultimate staff---6 spell power 6 knowlege
-Ultimate crown---4 attack 4 defence 4 spell power 4 knowlege

Yep!
I vote for the bring back! I was realy dissapointed when they took them out.
They were useful like heck and they didn't decrease anyhting.

...I say bring back both (especially the grail) and although this may require a change of terms, perhaps there can be an option to create town-specific "grails"?
...oh, and perhaps create some artifacts that can be paired with just one or two others to produce just a couple of extra bonuses...while if there is a set needed to create something, perhaps just a a few that comprise of it could give reduced bonuses?

Good idea.
Myself I'd prefer that each town had it's own grail buried somewhere. Different colour of Obelisks could lead to different buried treasures.
On the other hand, the power of these artifacts should be toned down a bit. The Grail in HoMM 3 was fairly balanced when compared to most of the HoMM 2 artifacts.
The ultimate artifact should be about as powerful as a Relic. A nice twist would be if some of them could be used only by Heroes who has a certain Primary skill, and then give a huge bonus to that particular skill.
I wouldn't want these artifacts too powerful though. They'll have to be carefully balanced.

What do You think about this:
A buried artifact which gives Your hero (choosable);
+50% damage/+50% hit points.
All spells/+all primary skills (if barbarian)
+ 10 hit points to all level 1 creatures in army
+ 25 hit points to all level 2 creatures in army
+ 50 hit points to all level 3 creatures in army
+ 100 hit points to all level 4 creatures in army

The Golden Goose was in HOMM2? I've never heard of it.
