most bad*** characters in video games
Anyway forget this "cute" and "hot" business
I present to you the most "bad***" characters I've come across:
If you have a character, post it.
HUGE SPOILERS THROUGHOUT!!!!
Guys:
Gilder (Skies of Arcadia)
Alright this dude is just a pimp. I would kill to be this guy.
First off he's a ladies man, is in it for the gold, and he has duel pistols.
But forget all that the man is a freakin' pirate of a flying airship full of babes, he's got an awesome parot, and he enjoys torturing enemies, he has this move where he says "dance for me!" and just blasts the enemies in the legs!
the only guy that comes close is Johnny from Guilty Gear X who again is a futuristic captain of an airship full of babes who doesn't give a rip.
Georg Prime (Suikoden 2 and 5)
the man is like in his fourties in S2 and is still kicking butt, and in Suikoden 5 he's so powerful that completely breaks the game, your expecting some epic boss battle and then this dude comes in kills the enemy in one hit and then walks away like it isn't any big deal. He wears a pirate patch and SPOILERS:
rips it of at the end of the game, turns out he can see fine, he just thought it looked cool! That's what I call a bad***.
Dias Flac(Star Ocean 2)
The guy is some master swordsman who just wanders around aimlessly.
He has a dark past, but he supposedly cares about a girl in your party. He is really arrogant, and when you face him in the arena he beats the crap out of your character and leaves. The only way he joins is if the aforementioned girl begs him to join the party, otherwise he tells your main character to protect the girl and is never seen again.
Auron (FFX)
In most RPGs you are taken through all sorts of twists and turns and you never know who the real bad guy behind the whole thing is.
this guy:
made it a whole lot simpler.
Near the beginning of the game he pulls your character to the side and tells that "Sin is Jecht" which is your dad
This was like seriously shocking thing to say but he said it like it was no big deal, and oh yeah the guy isn't even alive but again he seems to be completely unphazed by that fact.
Sandro(HOMM-HOMM4)
This guy is like Skeletor on crack.
You kill the guy once, and I mean he just comes back as a skeleton big whup, he doesn't care. I mean the man spent all his time raising skeletons it shouldn't be a big suprise that he himself would be a skeleton but oh well guess they never figured.
He manipulates all these good heroes into getting artifacts for him and he ends up with two of the best artifacts around: The cloak of the undead king, and the armor of the damned.
For most men dead or alive that would be enough but not for Sandro.
He wants to take over the world too!
He spends his time partyin' with some evil genie chick.
I mean you just can't touch the guy, he's just the bomb!
I was soooo ticked off he wasn't in H5
Mistakenly refferred to as bad***:
Cloud (final fantasy 7)
He carries a big sword yes, but let's face the facts:
he spends half of the game saying: "......" and then the other half taking credit for something someone else did. Get a grip man! Even Cait Sith plays it smoother than you.
Gals:
Millia Rage
Russian Assassin: Check
Hot Blonde: Double Check
Uses hair as a weapon, and impales her victims: uh whoa...
Dizzy: (GGX)
Another seemingly nice girl except she's possessed by an angel and a demon and is absolutely crazy in a fight
KOS-MOS (Xenosaga Series):
Ok this chick even puts must of the guys I have up here to shame, She's a robot weapon, who can literally morph and shoot giant lazers and gatling guns, she can blow up starships, and she has absolutely no emotion, that's pretty hard to beat.
Lenneth Valkyrie:
She doesn't look like much, but this is one lady you do not want to tick off.
As a Goddess and a Chooser of the Slain, she's not much for personality but alot for *** kicking.
Sample dialogue
monster: hey what's up?
Lenneth: Defiler of souls, Thy sins way heavily upon thee!
monster: wait..
Lenneth: It shall be engraved upon thy soul, NIBELUNG VALESTI!
monster: oh crap.
Freya:
Even worse than Valkyrie.
monster: now hold on I...
Freya: PREPARE TO BE CLEANSED...DIVINE ASSAULT ETHER STRIKE
literally does 1,000,000+ damage
Freya: I am Freya. Remember the name on your journey to hell!

The Bad Guys are often the most fun to play with. The game with the best bad guys are often Final Fantasy. In my opion, Sephiroth and Kuja are the best of them. They are sophisticated, arogant, destructive and plotting.
Still, as you might have guessed, the Best Bad Guy is Sonic's Dr. Eggman. No bad guy can beat this clasical evil genius.

Sephy is just evilness incarnate. Can't really beat that. 
Kefka was a decent one too, though he was just funny rather than badass.
But my favorite has to be Shadow the Hedghog from Sonic Adventure 2.
He's got the badass attitude, which makes him even cooler than Sonic. Man, I love that game.  If I had a TV, I'd go replay it right now. ^_^ But I don't have one yet.  Sad.

I REFUSE to call him Dr. Eggman. That name is so wrong and disgraceful to his legacy. He was, is, and always shall be Dr. Robotnik. If you know him from the Saturday Morning Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon then you know that he truely is a bad***

Dr. Eggman is a nickname he has been given. Still it seems he likes it himself as he refers to himself as Dr. Eggman. Still is full name would be Dr. Ivo Julius "Eggman" Robotnik. Still the only way to be able to settle this is to refer to him as Shadow does, by either calling him Doctor ar the Doctor.
Another Bad*** from Sonic, apart from Shadow, the Doctor, and Metal Sonic, is E-123 Omega. 
He believes himself to be the Ultimate Robot ever created, is violent and sadistical, has sworn to kill the Doctor for shutting him down and taking over his empire. Talking about anger problems.

Still, Eddie is probably the badassest of the Guilty Gear bunch. As for the ladies part of the crew, I'd say Baiken.

Kane for sure. The way he gets what he wants and the way he uses people to get what he wants is just amazing. He is a genious too and has no feelings. Not to mention he has killed the fourth of mankind.
+He is bald.

yeah dizzy's personality wasn't badass, but her evil/good wing was.
But I think we both forgot who the most badass dude was:
Sol Badguy
I mean the guy is completely aloof, doesn't give a rip, is a bounty hunter and beats people to death with what I describe as a giant piece of sheet metal!

and almost bought a PS2 with that game (gungrave)... I wanted it so bad, but not bad enough to wait howeverlong and walk however far to get a memory card

really, he is just a harmless old man giving you employment... and whom youll have to kill in the last level. in a sick sick parallel dimension. and as soon as he sees you, youll lose hit points rapidly and can do nothing about it so you die. and later on he doesnt appear to be very "human" either.
