Players: This thread introduces all scenario types, but in English only. Be sure to check out the updates in the posts below!

If you're looking for multiplayer maps, visit Tournament of Honor maps page.

Mapmakers: This thread will remain active until Age of Heroes (hopefully) gets its own archive. Feel free to announce your maps here. Include the name, version, size, number of players, description and notes (if any). Please note the last two are not the same thing.

Since MapHaven accepts no submissions anymore, the best international sites to upload your maps are Celestial Heavens and Elrath. Upload the scenario there, then link it here to share it with the community.

If you want to post screenshots, please do not strech the page. Either resize the pics or provide the links.

Description: In the kingdom of Baroca the perfect prison was designed. The mages of the Golden Oak created spheres ,as large as a child's head, in which small worlds exists.Only a mage of the order has the knowledge to get someone out of there , and not even them can get out from he inside. The destiny of a servant is to serve, that's why , when my master was to be convicted for a crime , the blame was put on me and I got exiled in one of the prison globes . But out here I'll be no servant ! I'll be the master!



The Inevitable (English version) by Final_Boss



Size: Big
Players: 2
Description: Two neighboring kingdoms have been in war for decades, but only a few weeks ago an earthquake put end to the conflict destroying all the cities, decimating the population, and dividing the region by the half across ardent lava. Besides wild creatures have expanded again and a few powerful demons have established himself in the only bordier guard that remains intact, preventing the entry or exit of anybody... But it doesn?t matter, the hatred that the inhabitants of both kingdoms had among each other is too strong, and in spite of natural disasters and terrible monsters, the confrontation is inevitable.
NB: Spanish version is also available.



A Dance For Two by Tapani



Size: Very Big
Players: 2
Author's Note: This is an expert map; featuring even starts, big monsters and scarce resources. The keys to victory are: wise selection of battles and managing your steps and resources.
You will not run into each other early (for several months).
The map is adjusted for normal difficulty (initial resource are hard-coded to the map). Instant travel and flight artifacts are disabled.

Very large map - Identic starts (made for expert players) - BIG monsters (plenty of opportunties for picking bad battles - Expected time is several months (in game, not IRL :-) - Instant travel + flying disabled - Relatively scarce resources - Several situations where a good player can gain an advantage by avoiding bad battles and by spending his/her resources wisely Of course it is a mix of small and big monster stacks, and the trick is to figure out which stacks are worth attacking... since some of them are not.




Random Wars by nevermindspy (preview)

Author's Note: Random Wars Has Twists And Suprises - Made For Multiplayer / Hotseat. - Take Into Consideration This Isn't an easy map nor a short one, no chance to rush the opponent - must kill at least 40 lvl 7 just to get to him , altough map has a big potential to expand your forces fast and strong. New Version 3.0, Fixed (hopefully) all the bugs + added more eye candy and new nice feature. Install Notes: place under /data folder (inside homm5 game directory ), enjoy!

Author's Note: Here's a small 1v1 map. The 2 opponents are on 2 sides of the valley. You share the same resources so you can starve each other. The way is blocked by border guards so there wont be much rushing.

Stonebreaker 1.0 by Vlaad

Type: singleplayer scenario
Size: normal (96 x 96) with underground

Description: As a child Wyngaal enjoyed the legend of Stonebreaker, a vessel which sailed on land. Years later, the adventurous elf and his fellowship are determined to find the missing ship!

Narrative: Wyngaal met a dwarf named Bearhide, who decided to join him. The skirmisher suggested they recruit a few mercenaries in a tavern nearby. The fellowship should look for Snowbeard, the ancient warlord who is said to be the maker of Stonebreaker.

Tips: You lead a small army (akin to an RPG party), so you'll have to make the best of each creature. They say the crew of Stonebreaker is still guarding the ship, so develop your Avenger skill and focus on the undead.

Additional info: The later versions change some joiners and boost the AI's army in order to make the final battle more challenging.

Oh, you'll notice some Griffins flying around, too.

I am aware the map (especially one of this type) would benefit from some story (at least at crucial moments). I promise I'll add several text messages as soon as I figure out the H5 scripting.

There was a bug in it, (e.g. instant travel was meant to be disabled, not teleport...)
It should be ok now

Also see if you can find the hidden artifacts, there's one close to each player. I'm sure the cheating NPH (non player heroes ) will find em fast..

3v3 fastest complete!!!

fastest possible map you will ever play 3 humans vs 3cpu or whatever you want, 3 ore and wood mines, the third ones are heavily gaurded though, completely even bases, everything is equal and tear of ashra has been added

Thers a bug on the toh mappage, the maps should be in the MAPS directory not the DATA directory

Joining HOMM V map-makers family with project that took almost a year to finish (was planning this map right from first beta tests )

Authors: Zilonite and Signe (besides being my girlfriend, she also is a professional artist, who kindly agreed help to put HOMM V map editor to its maximum in order to create really esthetically pleasing map).

Size: 136x136 (big) with underground

Scripting: None
Disabled spells: None
Disabled artifacts: Wings of the Angel; Bag of Endless Gold

Concept of the map:
Basic idea was to create a map that I would like to play myself for serious and competitive games, but not forgetting about fun, too

In particular this includes:
- balance between both sides, yet not complete mirror map

- balance not only with equal amounts of essential values on each side but also maximum possible balance between different town types

- replaybility (meaning that the best strategies might vary fairly much from game to game)

- relatively fast game, albeit not always (time of main battles might vary from week 4 till week 6-7)

- preventing War Machine rushing or at least delaying it significantly enough

- interesting playtime with constant action from day 1 till the end, yet simultaneously trying to prevent extremely long turns

- making closed-type of map, yet at the same time map where it is impossible to cover everything and where thinking and making priorities is essential

- and, the last but by far not the least, esthetics (I was astonished when I saw how somebody with artistical educational background mixes all those things and colors in map editor and how many beautiful things you can squeeze out of this seemingly plain editor).

Current status:
Map is finished and play-tested by myself some 7 or 8 times in hotseat and by few other dudes couple of times (also in hotseat). So there should be no more bugs (albeit, as JB has rightly pointed out, some bugs manage to squeeze through always ).

[b[Storyline of the map:
Time: YSD 759 Place: Far South of the Ashan
Two striders, trying to catch their own luck amidst the anarchy of civil war between Wizards and Necromancers, overheard a strange story of a rich wizard, Isher the Eightfinger, who tried to conjure a phoenix to help defend his castle against incoming hordes of undead. Yet the spell went wrong and instead of one phoenix a whole tide of those fiery creatures entered the world, destroying all and everything on the path of their wings.
As it is rumored that abandoned treasures of the wizard are still there, both striders decided to take a look on those places, which since those happenings acquired the name of the Land of Ashes and Sands. Albeit some other rumors say that those magnificent creatures of fire are still there, too…

Er... I'm sorry to ask a silly question, and maybe in the wrong place, but:

Some of the maps don't have an .h5m extention to them that I can find.  Tons of data, but no map.  The one I was hoping to look at in this case was The Crescent.  

Many of the other maps dl without a problem, and I know they go into the Maps folder, rather than Data and all that.  

Am I missing something?

Rename ".zip" to ".h5m", then place h5m-file to Maps folder.

Hi Everyone,
Here my map "Elysium" (New version 0.1 with some optical updates):

Type: Multiplayer,8Player
(VariableTeams*)                                                                        

Size:Imbossible (319 x 319) with underground

Additional info:
-Teams can be set ingame by the scripted Area with the
*Gamemaster-Hero*.
-Check out the Monstergenerator too
(Just take a look at the readme.txt and pics for more info.
-This map is full of objects and effects, maybe some
pcs are to "old" for this map, sry ;(

IŽam not good in scripting quests and such things ;(
thats why this map is a pure multiplayer map.
If i find the time to learn better scripting i will add some quests^^

Hehe, on my brothers Pc with 2gb Ram and
Geforce 7950 pro 512mb its pretty well playable^^
On my pc with 2Gb Ram, and a old Geforce 6600 128Mb ram
its works playable.
Sure i have to look how to move with the Camera to have
a good framerate

Hmm its a litte trick with *hole-tiles*
I have form the terrain to a higher position and then
create a new Object with just (3x3) hole-tiles
to make the terrain invisible^^
then put the dwarf bridges as a platform onto this
and some dwarf-bridges with negative z-Coordinates
for the ground lvl. (without that there would be a
hole in the map floor)

I downloaded your map earlier from CH and just wanted to tell you how much I liked it. Unfortunately, the game crashes when I try to autosave or open the scenario in the editor.
