Genies are cheap , numerous ( in compairison with other 5 tiers) and great damage dealers . Giving them ability to cast non-random spells would make them overpowered , IMHO . The Academy has their archmagi with one exellent buff ( the same as our Ladies , but they are 6 tier and should be more effective than someone two tiers lower)and two good DD spells , so this faction doesn't have lack of spellcasters

could they at the very least have a CHANCE to cast a destructive magic spell? either that or have a geine special hero.

What is needed is that they dont cast a same spell two times in a row to same target and for Djinn Sultan the ability to cast their spells on themselves (they are the ones most in need of a buff)

Random casting sux ... even if they make it so the genie doesn't cast the same spell twice .... anyway making them not cast the same spell twice doesnt make sense, since they are random casters there is a chance that they randomly choose the same spell two times in a row ! Making them fixed casters seems better to me !

It would work in terms of gameplay. Making them fixed casters would be extremely powerfull (how many times wouldn't that slow spell come in handy, or that weakness spell, or that confusion spell, when you have a specific target?). No reason to have a game feature that is essentially a wasted turn, however, that's simply unfair - that's why they should remove double casting.

I think the idea about not making them cast the same spell twice in a row (except vulnerability) is great. That would help a lot.
The other thing that should happen (if it doesn't already) is the spells should be at expert level.
Also, the final buff that would make them more useful is if the 'curse' or 'bless' couldn't be cleansed. That would give them an edge over regular casters but prevent them from being too powerful because you'll never know what kind of spell you're going to get.

That would be interesting!Genies with undispellable spells Not sure about expert but come to think of it most of them die in the beginning of a big battle so they can no longer be used for melee but as spellcasters.
