I dont think it's that as much.
I think most players nowadays want something different.
Alot of the heroes 5 players dont care for heroes 3 how it was played.
Some dont care to play heroes 3 who you knew.
If you dont believe me just ask Jinxer lol.
People want a change & thats what was given to us.
Read the heroes 5 forums in this community.
You will see more crying then Killa Bee.
They have a majority of people asking for certain aspects in the game then when they get thier wish, they complain.
WTF is that crap lol.
Example Dwarves!
Ever since, no correction, before heroes 5 came out, a majority of people wanted a Dwarf Colony.
After time with the expansion, it was given to them.
Now they are WHining & Crying about it.
Dont ir remind you of why you had to temp close TOH Rob lol.

I should have taken time to read your posts.. because my friends and I have been dreaming of this for a while (yeah heroes 3 is THAT GOOD).. we still play sometimes and the game is pretty much like riding a bike... bikes do get rusty though, but if you made this thought real I'd definately sign up for it

I'm just gonna take a wild guess here and correct me if im wrong. but i'm gonna say you didn't start playing heroes till the 5th series... it's sad because you'll never know how much fun TOH for heroes 3 was... whats this world coming to

I can say 100% certain I started playing heroes in the H3 era, I played 3 seasons of toh then and it was a blast. And I played H3 regularly till about 3 weeks ago when I bought h5.
I would still play H3 without any worries, I love the game always will. But H5 is a great game also, fresh, new, and fun. And I am having a really good time playing something that I don't put on autopilot and steamroll.
I understand completely the people who want H3 back and everything else, but the reality is H3 would never see the kind of activity it had in past seasons, it just wouldn't happen. H5 doesn't have huge activity yet, but maybe that will increase. If you give it a chance as not H3 it will be good.

Might even get ol' grumpy Rych to play. Been mostly playing Him (and Kirky & Fearflame) on AoW and before that Civ4.

I can understand those Heroes 3 who want to use their time doing some other activities , for not moving to Heroes 5, but I cannot understand the Heroes 3 lovers that still want to play heroes, but they want to ressurect Heroes 3. Heroes 3 was a great game for its time, but Heroes 5 is far better . Once you get used to the 3D view, and the shortcuts , you will find a much better heroes than the previous one!
Greatest new features :
- Initiative
- Abilities
- Unique skill for each race
- Simultan Moves
- Quick Combat
Just try it and you'll love it! Of course you will have to rethink your strategies and adjust them to the new game, but in the end you'll understand that it is much better !

Have you ever eaten a sweet little kitten with sweet-sour sauce and a hot banana? Millions of chinese do that...so it HAS to be good!
H5 has nice features, no doubt. But also things which are NOT good. All in all it couldn't convince too many H3 addicts it seems. It was the same when H4 came out....many new features...some good ones...many bad ones. It never reached the same amount of players as H3 did.
Only because something is NEW, doesn't mean it is BETTER. Tastes differ.

i get what you are saying  ... that's the second possible excuse for still liking h3 more than h5 ... and by that i mean AGING factor ! From a certain age people become more stiff, and can't addapt to the new . Fortunately i am not there yet

I was there for a while too. Would be more into the 'good'ol'days' gig but had to join the army. I remember half players were arrogant, loudmouth, rude and dishonorable. Besides koreans.
And as proof of that, hey! several years after , guess what! arrogance and loudmouth talk still hangs on well
You(H3 stuckers) did excactly same anti-new-homm campaign with HIV.
So plz go listen to the scorpions and lets us play this game.

I agree that heroes 4 and 5 had a lot of good new ideas.. but my question was when heroes 4 came out and it stil is yet to be unanswered
Why change something that doesnt need change? heroes 3 was perfect, all you had to do was keep adding patches of new things... all the good ideas from heroes 4 and 5 should have just been an add on to heroes 3.
Insat- There are dishonorable people everywhere, but don't be stereotypical and assume things, because just how its spelled it makes an ass out of you and me and I'm sorry if it bores you, but thanks for letting us all know, anything else you want to share?

i start to believe that some people are really frustrated and their weakness drives them to judge some who dont share their tastes and try to prove they/their taste is better/superior when really nobody asked them for this. just a useless votunteer effort like a monologue who is set on mute. "heroes xx is better than heroes yy , just because i play it and , of course, im THE smart ass".
then stay in your elite section and dont bother about the mortals who dont agree with u. enjoy your time to be there, don't waste your energy with nothing and do not judge others' choices, just because u simply(maybe)cannot ?!?!?
no one is the wielder of the universal truth or THE MODEL to be followed.
if someone, lets take aculias for instance, comes and tells u that men are better than women, would u reconsider your sexual orientation? i guess not, especially if he wont bring proves that u allow yourself to ANALyze , no matter for how long he would be preaching about advantages 
SO, i dont see the point of arguing which is better , when this term is completelly relative .
live your life the best way u can/consider, and try to improve yourself, not others cause its 99% failure from the very beginning.

Ok.. you're completly missing my point here... I'm not knocking anyone who likes heroes 4 or 5, I'm simply saying there was no need to change the entire gameplay of heroes 3 when there was nothing that needed a change..besides adding new towns or new features to add on to the gameplay and strategy
As for your analogy about if men were better then women would you get a sex change... thats completly different then playing a computer game, it's absolutley arbitrary to this subject, so please think a little bit more about what you're going to say before you say it.
The things I personally dislike about H5 is that the games take much longer then h3, the 3d graphics are completly unneeded for Multiplayer action, it just prolongs everything..If heroes wasnt a multiplayer game then I'd say H4 and H5 are pretty cool, because you get bored when you play alone.. but in multiplayer the people get better which give you different challenges.
Insat-you're already annoying so please lets not start getting pedophile gay also please.

H3 always has a special place...but now its just a mood thing. If I'm in the mood, I'll play it. Always helps against good and fun players too
H5, I just cant get into it. Why did they have to make such a god-awful interface?

I'd expect refering to the ubi interface which sadly is such a pile of ass it would turn many away.

I hate it, I hate the 3d...hate the rotational camera. Hate the fact that you cant access parts of the map without rotatng the camera or scrolling the screen to the exact position to pick something up. I double click my destination with my hero and he goes nowhere, I try it again and he goes nowhere...maybe on the 4th or 5th attempt the guy will actually move. There are always big trees or cave walls in the way. Load times are astronomical, even on my 2.8ghz 1.5gb ram system with latest 256mb card. The randoms are crap...there are bugger all arties, the sim turns are ridiculous (look to AoW for inspiration) and there are much better games out there to play. Thats about it.
Heroes unfortunately for me will always be about H3. The rest have failed in my eyes.
