Why not.
I had something similar to VF's in mind, actually.
I'll be a 6', brown haired average, athletic built man generally with short hair and stubble.
On the one hand he goes to work every day. He neatens his hair, puts on a suit and sits in his office and get's told what to do by his boss.
But then there's the drugs. He is a heavy Rock addict, to the point where is has given him a split personality. When under the influence of the drug, he is completely different, even has different memories and barely recognizes himself as the same person. He feels invincible, is generally violent, and suffers from chronic insomnia which keeps him out all night. This often leaves him waking up with no recollection of how he got there. His main income comes from drug trafficking, which he often spends when on a high.
The severe brain damage caused by the habit is causing minor insanity as he struggles to deal with his identity and to find out what he really wants in life.
It is this which makes him more volatile, but it'll make for a good story and some interesting interactions.

Lol thats an awesome description.
I shall be including these descriptions within my first post, just for people that decide to join later, that they know who everyone is and all of that.

It’s Monday morning and it takes everything to drag my *** out of this bed and to a job that I dread. I can already hear the clamor of the city beating into my head. There was always something soothing about the city to me, not now, I hate it. I know that the traffic and “confident” drivers will soon impale my thoughts. I lay my clothes on my body not giving much thought to how they look I just want to get to where I’m going.
It is now 6:00 A.M. and I think that I may actually make it to work on time this morning. After being nearly side swiped and taken out by some hormonal women who only has her license because we live in the land of the free not smart, I finally reached my fatal destination. With my head pounding and my bag O crap in tote I flung the door open to the restaurant just so the rest of the workers would be forced to recognize my presents.
Taz was there already; a long time customer of mine that would only allow me to wait on him. He motioned me immediately to sit down with him before I brought his first sip of coffee. He told me that I was his sunshine every morning and that he would have no reason to even get up if it weren’t for my sunshine. He is a seventy-year old biker with no family and a face that has taken the road less traveled more than once in his life. He has no wife or kids and is all alone in a world with many people. I held my wet eyes back and gave him a hug before returning to my hell.
I could not keep myself from yawning all morning and by the time two O’clock came I was ready to roll. Taz came by to say goodnight to me as usual and I stuffed my daily parking ticket into my already overloaded glove box. The traffic was unusually calm today and I was enjoying the silence until my phone rang. “Hello.” The other line was silent and somewhat eerie. “Alright ***hole what the hell is your problem?” A click echoed in my ear and I just starred at the phone as the blinking lights made me wonder.
This had not been the first time this month that it happened but it is the first time it made my stomach drop. The clock was pushing three as I plunged through the door of my over priced under maintained apartment. I made myself my nightly latte because they help me sleep, go figure, talk about being bi-polar. The phone call was still lingering in my head hours later so I picked up my newest novel and fell asleep with my head resting on the book.
At nine I awoke to the sound of my phone and I wasn’t expecting anyone to call that late. With a cold latte in hand I look at the number and it came up unavailable again. I hesitated and then flipped the phone and just held it up to my ear. I could hear the breathing and I didn’t ask who it was I just listened. I quickly turned the phone off and went to soak in a hot bath.
I slowly got undressed allowing the clothes to just fall to the floor in no particular order. The room smelled of strawberries and was lit with candles in about every corner of the bathroom. As the bubbles crept to the top I found myself sinking into the tub with my back arched and the feeling of complete paradise. The hot water was filling every area of my body that had been neglected all day and all month for that matter. Before I realized it the water chilled my body as a fell asleep and with my skin pulled tight I quickly engulfed myself into my silk robe and into bed.
My thoughts were racing after I hit the pillow and I wondered to myself when will I find someone to brush up against in the middle of the night. The city could be a very lonely place and just as Taz feels I feel the same, lonely even though people surround me.

We havent started just yet but that sounds awesome so far
When we have maybe around 6 people or more than we shall start.
And also you have to wait for the instructions from me, like the conditions for that day and what it is going to be like.
And also I have to make the proper thread without the OOC in it, this is not where you start the rp, this is where you discuss the things about the rp (OOC = out of character) so yeah.

Great I completely bombed my first attempt. Ok we need more people then and soon, I want to get this going. I will recruit Gootch if you want. I can always go back on my first day and add what ever it is you decided to throw at us.

I was talking to william about an idea I had for this thread.
To introduce some action, we could make Metrograde a city with a crime problem.
That could lead to character roles, the basic ones like criminal and law enforcer.
Then that can evolve to things like undercover agents and corrupt cops, and that would lead to some interesting character interactions.
I think it's cool, but maybe we could just leave it open and see how it turns out. What do you guys think?

That's actually a pretty good idea TA.
Perhaps we leave it open for now, and a little later throughout the story, that is when things start to get a little hectic.
For example, right now Metrograde could have small crime problem, maybe some drug dealers here and there etc etc, and maybe a little later in this rp, we could introduce corrupt cops, and the crime rate in Metrograde can be a little higher.
It is a good idea TA, I think it would add a little variety for it, and could encourage people to perhaps become police aswell.
OH AND BTW!!!!
An idea:
During the story, if you like this idea, I can nominate certain people to lose jobs, and that can require you to get other jobs like maybe a policeman/woman or a fire fighter or someone on the LAW that could help against the crime rate in Metrograde, or you could eventually become a bad and corrupt cop.
It is just an idea, what do you think of it?
EDIT: TA in answer to you're first question, we currently have around 5 characters, 2 without descriptions of what exactly they are gonna be in this rp, so we need exact descriptions of exactly what you are gonna be.
I do not know if we should start right now, if the rest of you want to start just say so and I shall make the thread

When you first answered the question, in saying we introduce these characters later, then I would have htought it wouldn't work because these ppl if they're gna be cops or w/e they need to be it from the start.
But you telling ppl they lose their jobs is perfect.
I think you could also go one step further, saying other things that happen, evens, like your house was robbed or w/e, so set the scene for ppl and to keep up interest.

Maybe something like: You're house is on fire, or A car went through you're house, or something like that, that would affect you're everyday life throughout this game.
But yeah.

I would like to join this RP.
My name is Daniel Lopkit, I am a 23 year old Male, 6 foot 7 in Height and weigh 87 kgs.
I am a Policeman.
I have anger problems, which can sometimes conflict with my work, for example when on chases, I may often get angry, and go a little crazy when driving or when in a fight to try and get the criminal down.
I have also got a Drug Addiction which I am not able to get off, and I usually sneak down past midnight, to the local drug dealer's house to get some, although I fear that I may get found out and lose my job one day.
I live in an old Apartment, overlooking the main street, and am about 15 minutes by car from the Policestation, and am about 5 minutes away from the drug dealer's house.
I have light blonde hair, Icy Blue Eyes, have a scar on the right side of my face, and I sometimes walk with a hunched back.
My main goal is to become an Lieutenant or an Officer, or something higher than just a normal Police Officer, but my job with the Policeofficer is mainly catching criminals and busting them for it.
My main strength is with driving, I can drive extremely well when under alot of pressure, but again my anger can change that very quickly.
I work better along with my job, and rarely ever work with a partner, and if I do, I make sure that they stay completely out of the way.
I have a small limp with my right leg, but it isnt anything that bad, I can still run quite fast which is good for catching criminals on the run by foot, but sometimes it can also affect my work.
I am living happily in Metrograde City, am currently single and have a job.
Is this alright for a Character William?

That is an awesome character ExT, and would fit perfectly around what may happen later, but remember I may cause you to lose you're job, so you may have to deal with that, and perhaps that can later influence you to become a drug dealer or a criminal or something like that.
But anyway, you are added, nice to see you take interest in this thread it seems
