this looks really good!

i did do a ice town, the stronghold, with russian themes, orcs, humans and destructive steam monsters. the religion was based around ice (Slyath, in the form of the Ice lord) as well as the terrian. but none of the creatures were ice, as such.

I just wondered: What's the race or theme? I meen, I can see that you have a frost theme, but every H5 town has a strong theme relating to its inhabitants - either it's dominated by one race (Humans, Sylvan Elves, Dungeon Elves, Dwarves, Orcs) or by a specific type of creatures (Undead, Demonic/Infernal, Animates/Summoned).

This town lacks the coherence of the other towns - there are Miners and Wizards and Trappers, but what race do they belong to? And how come they have ended up with such different creatures as Granite Warriors (animates), Ice Demons (Demonic) and Frost Giants (beastly humanoid)? And what's their relation to the general Heroes 5 Mythology (are they connected to one of the elemental dragons, are they none-believers, or ...)?

Now, I know how this may seem, and I should say I'm not trying to diminish your work - because as Daystar said, I have myself played with these things, and I know how much time goes into making a town varied yet ballanced. I just feel that in order to have this town fit into the general H5 universe, one has to take the above factors into account.

Thanks a lot! But can you explain me where that second Ice Town is? If you think that the Fortress is it look here: there wouldn't be Magma Dragons if they were ice creatures.

A have thought abuot the raciall skill a lot and I think a skill that decreases Attack and Defence would be good enough.(Basic -10%, Advenced -20%, Expert -30%, Ultimate -40%) But I couldn´t find a good name for it...
For the super special skill (like Howl of Terror, Natur´s Luck...) I found: Wrath of the Mountain Spirits (Everything of the enemy units will be decreaesd by 20% (or maybe 25%). That is vaild for attack, defense, HP, damage, speed, initiative, mana and shots.

Just a quick though to the history: Thease creatures have left their real town to create their own town and life. They knew that they wouldn´t be able to overlive alone, so they made an ally with each other. They have choosen the icy Mountains as their territory. But they didn´t knew that they are watched by the Spirits of the Mountains. After some good and peaceful years a huge lavine destroyed the whole camp. Many overlived it but many died. Those who are died could "offer" their bodies to the spirits and so they could return... as frost and evil beasts. The spirits had many plans so they didn´t have hurt the overlived peoples. They had to accept the changed weather, the atmospheare and their lords. Now, they compleatly forgot the warm and the peace. They have war against the seven kingdoms and their only purpuse to freeze everything...and everybody...

Just to say I didn't forgot to upgrade my idea with this castle.
Here is the start:

THE MOUNTAIN

Aka: The Mountaineers
Associated colors: White and Deep blue
Worship: Thefen, the Lord of the Mountain Spirits
Core Philophy: Use yourself at once as weapon and as armor.
Core Philosophy: Attack, kill, freeze!
Country/Kingdom: The Mountains in Xibter
Capitol: Warnesh, the greatest Capitol in Xibter
Motto: We will either make you or break you.

Race Description:
The Mountaineers live in the secretly built and well-hidden towns in Xibter. Almost nobody knows their real past that they were once conscious citizens. But  they - as many other things in the world – were infected with the poison of sin and they rebelled against their mothertown. The rebellions were bloodly beaten everywhere, the rebel leaders were executed or sent to the prison and the rebellious people were banished. They had no choice to leave their towns and to find a new place for living. They have choosen the scarcely-known mountains in Xibter. Althought many bad and scary histories spreaded about Xibter, the exiled weren’t afraid, so they settled down. Unfortunatley for them… Unthinkingly, they’ve awaked the mighty Lord of the Mountain Spirits, Thefen. Finally, awaken and strong again, but having a thirst for revenge, Thefen showered the exileds with a huge lavine. This lavine reached the exileds unexpectedly so they hadn’t time to protect themselves. Many overlived but many died int he lavine. As Thefen saw the dead bodies, he ordered the spirits to occupy the bodies. So the crpses could rise again. The overlived weren’t occupied by the spirits but they had to submit to Thefen. So - after a short time – they accepted the cold and Thefen as their only master.
From now on, the Mounaineers had only one object: Defeat and kill their former clans or use them as slaves or let them occupe by the moutain spirits. They don’t know fear or cowardliness, just revenge, cruelty and to freeze everything. Many from them are magic resistant so they are almost unbeatable with spells. The kingdoms are helpless. There must be a way-out…

Now so far... to be continued

As you know in HoF there are the so called renegades.
Why can be there a town which is a town of renegades from the seven towns.
I explain myself with the example of my town and creatures but of course some creatures won't fit the one of the seven towns feeling:

Ice Demon from Inferno
Veteran Miner from Dungeon
Frost Giant from Fortress
Falcon Sharpshooter from Sylvan
Azure Wizard from Academy
Trapmaster from Necropolis
Granite Warrior from Haven

an interesting consept, but it doesn't appeal to alot of poeple.

listen, Golem crafter, find a good solid theme (not ones that have already been used, please!) and then think of creatures that will go with that particular theme. like angels for holy crusader haven, treants for tree-hugging sylvan and enslaved minotaurs for shadowy and piratical dark elves. if the theme is ice, it needs to be a specific theme, like the beauty of the ice, or the darkness of the ice, or the fun of the ice, or the isolation of the ice, then choose creatures for that.

possible creature: yeti!
