Hehe I wanted to change my look for a while and one of my favourite colours is green(right after blue!)!  Funny how I almost never use sylvan! Thanks.

Well, I am a Green fanatic (I vote Green party and my studies are related to envirnonment) but my favourite colour is actually Blue  I ended up using Maahir as his description is also perfect..I practise meditation so it was either him or Nur (not that tough a decision there)

Yes, I liked him in the single map. A good guy by all appearances and a capable one that went his own way and succeeded even if the odds were against him

sadly no, i will explain...
Version 1.0- Heroes 5
Version 1.1- a slight a justment
Version 1.2- same as 1.1
Version 1.3- Map editor included + slight ajustment
Version 1.4- same 1.1
Version 2.0- Hammers of Fate
you see Hof is mearly another patch for Heroes 5, only it has a lot more ifo, also HoF also ascts indipently from H5, it will not update Heroes 5 with any patch, or update in at at all, sorry
I may be misunderstanding you. Say I buy the original Heroes 5 and HoF. Clearly, HoF would be the disc I would then play off of to have the most current version of the game. Would I then be able to play both the HOMM5 campaign followed by the HoF campaign? Or would the HoF campaign be all I could access because it is independent of HOMM5?

Unfortunately the H5 campaigns cannot be played from HoF so to finish the game you must play both HoF and H5. And it would be a bad idea to finish H5 unpatched but at least 1.4 has all the changes in one patch. No need to use 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 patches successively.

Well that's just nutty on the part of the game developers. You should be able to play the H5 campaigns with the new features if you like, even if the dwarf race isn't a part of that. *sigh* Oh well. Thanks for the information.

Yes, it is irritating. But on the other hand, the maps were not developed with the new functions in mind. Still, I never played games that install seperately and not on top, before now...
Soon we could rename this thread to ToE or not to ToE

Now that i think of it, Warcraft 3 had the same thing with its campaigns, since expansion pack was separate .exe file as well.
But at least they included patching for original exe as well when downloading patch for "expansioned" game.

I found out from another source that the solo maps from H5 are playable in HoF. One one presume those maps weren't developed with the new functions in mind. :-/

The weird thing I've read about this game is that it won't be an expansion in that you won't have to have the original game to play it. I suppose that will mean that if you get that game, you'll either get everything or like HoF, you'll just get access to that game and no other.
