I hate to say it, but the Necropolis campaign was the most fun.  I loved having every neutral necro join me and necro skill.  Big army without the fuss of building up a castle.  However, for regular play, Haven will always have my heart.  Great combo of range, melee, and flyer and Griffins just look the coolest.

Why you all hate Necro?

I don't thing any body hates it.
But it has really weak creatures with amazing abilities...

So people mostly won't play with it.
You need really mastery to know how to utilize their skills.

I don't. I hate Sylvan and I realy like Necropolis. It is my favorite town (even if Academy comes petty close).

Being a soldier of light "I hate to say it" that I enjoy Necro because they are morally corrupt.  They are fun to use but it is opposed to my moral alignment.

playing with Necro is fun and even though their units are weak, their numbers are great. a simple example would be bone and shadow oe ghost dragon in which it is the only level 7 Creature with 3 growthes per week ( with Castle)

Do you take computer games on such a personal level? I am a non-gothic Christian but I still enjoy Necropolis and all of the evil factions (And Academy + Haven and sometimes Fortress to). Remember Gauldoth, he was a "good" necromancer.

You are wrong.
With Castle, you get 2 Bone/Spectral Dragons per week.
You need the Dragon Tomb stone to get 2 Bone/Spectral Dragons per week.

What's the point of having moral alignments if you don't factor them into your gameplay?  It makes the game more interesting and alive to view the characters the way they are meant to be viewed.  Although heroes doesn't have formal moral alignments, its pretty safe to say that creating leagions of undead is not a good thing.  Bringing to life these details of the game make it more involved and for me, more fun.

who  was jealous and greeady and drow away the necromancers. I have to disagree, bringing back people from death using necromancy isn't neccisary bad. They get their lives back, in return they fight for their master. Of course, it would be best if the necromancer asked them before he/she arised them, but that is not possible.

The most "Moraly corrupt" factions is in my opinion the demons and  dark elves (without Raleags leadership). I think Markal did something good by punishing the wizards, and the idea of taking back Nicolai by necromancy isn't bad either. And remember that it was the wizards who drowe away the necromancers hust because of pure jealosity.

I agree! The less flat the gameplay is, the better.

Personally, I'm always playing evil characters, factions and so on. The more evil, the better. No, not for the case of destroying anything. I really like that the evil factions don't really care for any laws and traditions, they do whatever they want and whatever seems fine for them. Perhaps it's a bit satanistic point of view (Satanism is based on it, actually - Do what thou willst, do whatever God forbidden..), but it's just a fantasy world. And I enjoy it pretty much : )

That's the problem with you goody-two-shoes LG types! You think about restrictions even when you have fun. Filthy hypocrites!
The good thing is to truly roleplay what your faction/character is. If you are necro be a b*stard and go to kill, maim, destroy to raise some armies! Feel the power of having to obey just yourself and your motivations and forget your real life or other alignments! (I admit that roleplaying evil chars made me feel guilty initially-I got over it soon!)

Not sure what to make of Doomforge...Is he playing out his whims and aggressiveness so that he is cleansed and able to act in goodly fashion in real life or is he getting in touch with his inner evil everywhere he goes? He sure seems corrupted by darkness!Keep clear of him just in case!
