Yes i agree, demanding reporting a loss because of accident or system disconnect is not nicest thing to do.
But a good explanation or screenshot be shown to be fair to opponent and then decide things from there on.
I've never demanded any screenshot before in my toh games, but suspicious d/c maybe will need in future.

There's some maps we all know very well and when is the crucial battle taking place.

Example..
bfh week 3/4 long turn d/c (betruger is special here , he can break week 2 )
dead mans lake week 3
hourglass week 4/5

All this can easily be suicidal battles imo and can change entire game. How about screenshot if d/c on these period for a rule ?
But no need to demand report loss, just for reference anyway

The suicides are a special chapter of the game for me , since i have quite a few of them , sometimes pure suicides(miscalculation), sometimes forgetting to take some troops, sometimes opponent nice who lets me load, sometimes not nice even though it was forgeting some troops that brought the suicide.

Anyway my point is another one ... I would like to see them threated in a special way , so I have some propositions:

1. A special button for reporting suicide, which still gives the points to your opponent and takes them from you like a regular win/loss, but doesn't give him credit for the win ,he actually didn't beat you, the computer did, but you wasted his time with that game so he should get some reward

or

2. He allows you to load, and continue the game and have a chance to redeem yourself... but in case you win, you don't get any official win. Him on the other side gets full credit for the game if he wins. If at some point of the game he suicides too, things get even again ...

Does anyone like the ideea ? Maybe we can get less suspicions in this way and also have more fun !

Okie let discus proves here...

Yeah Betruger's case was easy - lags in combat then dsiconnect...

When you moved on global map whren dsico screen prove almost nothing

Anyway i got 1 man suspicious about me and if we meet in tournaments like Hero or Caesar, i simple demand "Watchers"...

Hope they can be found. As i can be watcher of another players.

I know something else...

Yes idan, thats true, I havent had exp with d/c, but if players complain on this, it is a problem, or not? I've never had d/c issues, but who knows?
I still think some rules have to be made; this way loads of disputes and argues will be no more (if ever existed). You want a proof?
First: player its not in msn or hamachi,-(which shows he d/c for real)-
Second: If both are online on msn, CHAT and hamachi, then someone disconnected for sure and intentionally, cose its very hard to loose connection and 1 minute after, got it again!
Third: Both players know who disconnect, and they probably never play against each other.
I played some players, who in the battle d/c, when they saw a lost game there. Sometime they didnt even resume and report. I admit there were 1-2 or max 3 situations. They didnt ask me again for a game, I wouldnt play with them again, end of story!
Some people would say singular cases dont make the rule, but I know something else....what about you heroes?

and by the way, sometimes heroes die (in game of cos), and sometime they remain as heroes, cos they assumed risks....
Thats the main idea...HEROES...

Not true. What about game crashes? It happened to me few times. I didn't loose my connection but the game crashed and sent me to desktop. In this situation it's even impossible to provide any screens.

Yep actually in my many years of playing i've had just about anything happened to me and there are more cases where u can't provide proof like computer suddenly restarts (usually hardware problem or cpu overheat) or a power faliure in the area u live and heck maybe more the point is i don't like playing a game and something happeneds which is not my fualt then i'm being accused all of a sudden and need to prove i didn't do anything ,Its not a good feeling , The point is you can't prove anything , how hard is it you think to hit the disconnect button then alt-tab back to game and make a screenshot? whoops it wasn't me... , if people wanna cheat this way they will I personally will give a load anyway so it doesn't matter much to me but people need to relise this is beyond control and peoeple just need to trust each other ,If someone so pathetic to cheat then thats HIS problem not yours .
In final note : Losing points is not the most important thing in the world , Having fun IS .

I think it all sums up to the amount of trust u have for each other.
There were situations when game crashes or even computer reboots..
In the event game crashes, i took a screenshot of the crashed game that happened though it can't really 100% prove things.
As to continue the game or not, its really up to you to decide.
The points u lost will be recovered someday somewhere

fortunately I've been lucky enough not to run into any of these situations... then again I haven't had as many games (just 20).  Or maybe the opponent fears to cheat vs me lol.  Whatever the case, its a relatively small community, so if someone develops a bad reputation, its pretty much over for them in this community.  Notice that the Hall of Shame is empty -- and the only entry that would go there right now would be the player Bigvalbowski.  -- fake reporting.

He played against VALBOWSKI, no need to say BIG-VALBOWSKI won the game.
After a while he went back and back on the rank list, I still wander y...

I disagree, there could be screenshot of system error message about "Application was terminated in unusual way... See Details... Module:H5game.exe" or smth like it.

My personal meaning is that if we start to create paranoia-rules like this we will just kill the toh h5-gaming. If you have to prove everything to your opponent, and cant play the way it should be - like 2 good friends, then what is the fun?

I mean seriously - most of us are 25-30 years old, maybe wife and kids like myself, why would we cheat? To get some freaking points on an internet site (a brilliant one though )that gives you nothing but honour? Being dishonourable to gain honour?

And one more thing, it looks to me on Ghasts post as if someone is suspicious about his game... It makes me kinda speechless, as that shows ignorance out of propotion. "Everyone" that have played him knows he is one of the most honourable persons out there when it comes to the game. He will offer you a reload, play even if he has every single odds against him etc.

ok, just had to get that out - cya in game

Nahh, don't get me wrong, i personally have no suspicious against any player i've played, especially Ghast. Moreover, he could suspect me, because in our last "the hero" game i've got a trouble with my connection during first turn. I've just commented Betruger's post, that there IS a possibility to make screen even when game crushed, but, of course, game without trust have no fun.

Last evening i got a game where my opponent d/c several times , one time he was available @ hamachi so it wasn't really connection problem . But i can't (don't care) really accuse him of anything since my game crashed one time too while i was switching between windows while it was his turn.
I'm just saying that crashes happen. While playing serious tournament I'd say that d/c=loss but when I'm playing ladder I don't really care about it.

I got buckloads of messages like that... (when we both get the disconnect message)......

okay then   I see.....  d/c = loss.....  (I guess U both report a loss then......)

logical.

if u unplug your cable same messege will appear on both screens. it s not a proof, here h4 had a plus, u could check every turn the enemy moves, here u should rely on trust and good connection
