HERO LE FOU - new map for Hero tourney
(aka as Eraserhead, aka as WhoKnowsWhat, aka as The Bug)
Okaaay. This one is a freakshow, cant hide it. Inspired from H3 Festmaps (for those who have grey hair on their back and still able to remember anything at all)
Made specialy for Hero tournament play and must be drunk to launch it, or on the way to it (NO less than 2 beer b4 start, and keep the pace)
Took me bout 5h to finish from scratch, that dont mean thought hasnt been put on it.
Cant have any serious bugs, cause This is The Bug itself, william burroughs would be so proud of me
Reading the text-hints before play is a must:

_Map size: Tiny + super tiny under
_ALL is random, NOthing linked
_TAVERN DISABLED
_NECRO HEROES DISABLED
_Towns at level 4 (citadel built)
_Most animals are Random level and ALL set to Friendly (Likely to join), except Tent and Middle guards (set to Wild) and Underground phinix guards (set to Normal)
_DIPLOMACY is good to have, but not mandatory
_None animal set to Always join, except starting army out of town
_NO resources or gold in map, except starting resources out of town (30k - 30precious each kind - 60 w/o), several banks and 3 abandoned mines each- AND 1 gold mine each- from start
_Boot of Travel and Crown of Seeing out of town- free
_For players to meet, need to kill tent, in underground (Guards lev7, 20-24) and Lev7 in middle (50-60) + garrisons
_DISABLED: Instant travel, Boots of open road, Boots of travel, Crown of seeing, Scrolls, Wands, Pendant of mastery, necro amulet
_Author has put some sex in it so feel free to touch yourself while playing, enjoy 
_Oh and.. plz do NOT play sober!

hm herald of death.. well.. then i guess would be fair and honorable if players skip necro for this one 
eventhough cant build vamps with no tavern and leadership is less usefull skill for necro town, still is big bonus
EDIT: Ofcourse it takes some time to advance to herald of death skill, and to build up Bones needs hell lots of wood and ore. Map has only 45 extra of each and towns are level 1. So, im not sure wether Necro would be thaat strong as it seems at 1st
thanx for kind word, i expected you would freak out
map has interesting tactics, hopefully. Have to think on how to move through this chaos..

Any ideas how to balance Herald of Death huge bonus? so necro town wont be banned..
so far we have:
(+)
_Herald of death
_Necromancy
_Transformer
(-)
_Cant build vamps (no tavern)
_Very hard to build lev7, compared to other towns (not enough wood-ore)
_Leadership not as useful for necro as for other towns
Am thinking of adding a guarded Pendant of Mastery, i feel necro town benefits less from it than others [done]

I expected it much stronger. Btw, may take one veeery long time to acquire that freking skill.
Anyway, since is a 'special' map i suggest to play vs Necro at own risk. Special rule may be applied when play random, 'if necro restart'
Though i think necro isnt MUCH stronger than any other map..

_Towns now lev4 (citadel)
_Necro town BANNED (all necro heroes disabled)
_Abandoned mines CANT give gold
_KEY tent is now in underground area (guard lev7, 18-22)
_External war machines shop replaced by +1 def tower
_External thief guild replaced by +1 def tower
_Few heroes disabled (unsuitable for map), to promote Random town play, since no taverns [Grawl(inf), Dirael(sylv), Wyngal(sylv)]
_Added to both: 1 flagged gmine, 1 gargoyle tresure bank, 1 dwarf mine, 1minor, 1 lev2 dwell
_Starting joiners raised 10%

_BLUE advantage: Surface Area slightly smaller, more compact than red
_RED advantage: +1 lev2 random dwell
+1 lev3 random dwell
+1 lev1 shrine
(all guarded)

Hey i just finished playing on the map. I really enjoyed it. I found few things interesting.
Heaven is very good on this map
Not sure but i think Dougal is overpowered a bit.
If necro is blocked i dont see the point of necro dwelling on the map, is it possible to block them?
I think that magic castles are very weak here, perhaps they should get some extra bonuses.

_Yes it is, but not extremely.
Not sure but i think Dougal is overpowered a bit.
_Lets not confuse meaning 'overpowered' with 'very good'. Other heroes from all towns equally good too + Haven has no Irina, Klaus and Vittorio (disabled). Also, is best in this map for all to play random. Since no tavern, players dont know eachother race for more than a week. And, many stables around map eliminates one big haven's weapon.
If necro is blocked i dont see the point of necro dwelling on the map, is it possible to block them?

_Why magic weak!? Spell power and knowledge gets to be huge in the end.
Overall, dont look for balance in this map, however i tried so no town is winningly good or losingly bad. This game is about 2 things mainly:
1) Move your way through chaos and 2) Do you feel lucky, punk?

It was just some thoughts that came to me after the game .. im not really sure are those things overpowered or are not but i just know that when i attacked academy hero with my heaven hero nearly all of his units were dead before he even had his first move (no init arties involved except ring for shooters)

the poor fool was me!!
I was Acedemy, and I had Jhora as hero.
No logisitcs for me, and he had Rutger, so he could clear more faster.
He caught me before I could upgrade my to titans, and before I could diplomize the many colossi on the map (as it was week of Titan ).
I never had chance to get utopia either
All I needed was a few more extra days. So Feluzion, congrats, you played fast and well
