External dwels

Hello ppl, with all the new tourneys in and new players showin up for h3, i seem to see a mix of opinions and style of playin. I seem to come across a group of ppl who prefer the challenge of lv7 dwels and other external dwels while others just prefer no external dwels or anythings as such, i just want to see what ur opinions are.

I prefer having external dwels, cons an hives as they add difficulty and more planing, skill becomes more diversified and i think the map gets more challenging in these scenarios.I also think this makes random temps truely random.

Ill like to see your taughts on this.

Well, since lvl 7 dwells are such gamebreakers I'm not to fond of them. And the difference of having 3 or none in area makes it hopeless no matter how good u are.
Other than that I'm ok with dwells, hives, cons since it's about the same for both. But in some rare cases games can still be weird with 4 lvl 6 dwells or 6 cons in one area and 0 in the other.

Hi,I agree with ya Dev.Dwellings add more active chaining and require to reset your current objective at a moments notice, I also understand however that they can unbalance the map and put a player in an almost unwinable position.
I think that dwelling restiction is a good way to go,and that the restrictions should be considered on a template by template basis, for instance when playing Jebus I would normally restict dwelling as follows: 1 LEVEL 7 DWELLING PER PLAYER ALLOWED,1 LVL 6 DWELLING ALLOWED,ALL OTHER DWELLINGS CAN TAKEN.
Thats how most players I know play Jebus too.

Dwells at any level make my game. I prefer temps with many dwells and no limits on them. I especially like to have some dwells which provides me with powerstacks of creatures that are normally no factor in the game.

Eksamples: Griffins, monks, trees, dwarves, flies, basilisks, cyclops, ogres, orcs, medusas, harpies, pits, genies, mages.
