and when i play hot seat, it says that my hero got exp..what it means?
if i play online it doesnt show my exp, but this is because i didn't play online.. ><
edit:
what's the deal with the first sylvan chapter?
all i need is to keep the garrisons, but i can't do anything
the enemy is not coming and i got all the buildings
and i can't go and kill him...

It doesn't work. Under version 1.6 (and perhaps earlier versions) they changed something to how the game handles the AI command "MoveHero". The script of Sylvan mission 1 uses that command to send the spawned Necromancers to a spot behind (for them, i.e. on your side of the map) the borderguard. Under earlier versions, this would cause the AI Heroes to engage whatever was blocking their paths to the specifief location - in this case, the borderguards. Under v1.6, the command fails, indicating that no viable path could be found. After all, the border guard is blocking their path and they no longer automatically engage it.

I can't seem to figure it out, is there a way to create a randomly generated map for single scenario?I've tried everything, but the single player scenarios seem to be lacking.

Hello i have a little question about a bug on my game. sometimes when i play the roads on the map and on the battle gets all black and thats really is annoying. it has happened on all the 3 types of games heroes V, Heroes V HoF and on heroes V ToE. and somtimes on Hof the dwarven town gets all black and white. do someone know how to fix this and why it happens please tell me.

Are they in the map folder? Maybe you made them single and you are looking at multi?

I just read the whole amazing 3.0 manual. 
I still have two questions:
1. Morale (page 313):
There is a reference to the general initiative section (page 309), unfortunately I can't find the spot where it actually says in numbers how much initiative is gained/lost when positive/negative morale triggers?
2. Difficulty levels (page 325)
I read somewhere that the AI gets additional resources or creatures on higher difficulty levels but this is not mentioned in the manual. Is this just a meaningless rumor or does the AI get indeed additional bonuses which are missing in the manual?

and in the mission of sylvan "find tiero"
i found that place with the rocks and a druid sitting at the top, but i can't enter it :\

When a positive morale bonus triggers, the unit receives a +50% bonus to initiative. A negative morale bonus reduces it by 50%.

Have you tried pressing the "show RMG Maps" button. that helped for me.

Uhh... assuming you're talking about Nicolai Griffin and not Nicolai Ironfist, and you're referring to campaign 5, mission 5 in Heroes V... you must have some Phoenixes in your army when you defeat him in order to win. Get them from the Seer. But be careful - if you lose the Phoenixes before defeating Nicolai, you'll have to start the whole map again (or cheat).

Both the HoF and TotE expansions can be played independently from the basic game. So there's no need to cheat; just skip the basic game altogether and jump right into the expansions.

Just curious, has anyone had troubles with the TOTE Crashing in Campaign mode?
I played for the first few weeks without any problems and then took a few weeks off. Now I started playing again, and the game will suddenly lock up after a few days. I have to completely reboot my computer by hitting the power button (which I'm sure isn't good). I can't even do CTRL+ALT+DEL. SHould I reinstall?
