My top rating in HoMM3 was Archangel, 434 points. Played a medium random w/ under vs. 2 comps on 200%. Not a great result, of course, but that was my first victorious 200% game (happened about a week ago).
Actually it is fairly easy to get very high scores (above 490) in a map with 48 towns and grail if you win the map by defeating all enemies.
BTW, I made a mistake. My best is 498 only for the lord of war (72 days). My score for Uprising (103 days) and the lone knight (112 days) are both 496.

my best score is 492 (arch angel ranking) on the map marshland menace which is a medium map....i completed it on impossible (200%) in 69 days

My very first victory on Impossible yielded a measly 432. I couldn't push for a much higher score for several reasons. For my opponent, the Grail was conveniently located around 8 tiles north of his starting town. With the Grail installed in his Conflux town, he gained access to every spell in the game (courtesy of Aurora Borealis) and a boost to production. I noticed his exceptionally high volume of Conflux armies by the third month, which just had to be the Grail's doing (he had the map's only Conflux town). Most of the game saw me dealing with his annoying "flying" heroes, who simply bypassed what would otherwise be a 8-10 turn underground trek through no less than 4 sub-gates. My generals were forced to turn back in their tracks as another airborne enemy powerhouse made a dive for my various towns. My best general only learned the Fly spell with roughly 2 weeks remaining before I won, so the middle game was long and difficult. I'll take a win on Impossible any day, but I hope I can top the score later.
5/12/08 Edit: 428. Damn, I got dwarfed by everybody again.

Hmmm well my highest is 496 on reclaimation in 75 days and my fastest victory was noahs ark in 30 days for 440. I think depending on map difficulty the 200points thingo goes down slower.

Myth and Legend 35 days and 498 score, then the rest are 496 in Islands and caves, Free for all and myth and legend (days between 42 and 55). Don't know how to post the screen shot.
I have no idea how you get 500

I'm not quite certain what my highest ever score is as I've played Heroes on multiple computers, but I usually land 420 without much effort (i.e. when I play for fun). I have vague memories of recieving a 475 once, but I'll have to check it when I get home.

Sorry I thought I had replied.
Yeah I've had too much time on my hands and I like the larger maps best i.e. Myth and legend, Islands and caves, Free for all, warmongers and even serpents treasure(cannot get close to a good score on this one).
Have played this classic on and off for yonks and must be autistic or something as I'm caught trying to get a bloody perfect score but can't. That is the only game that I have got that score though, 496 is fairly easy but I'll be stuffed if I understand how you get 500.
Don't like the story line ones as they're too easy and its boring but I'm rapidly running out of steam trying to get to 500 and am just about hmm3 played out and the surface pro 4 doesn't like newer games (so I was told). Let me know what your scores are and if you have any ideas to beat the 500 mark.
