Due to training two paladin stacks aren't small. Really.

I think this is a bit overstated. What prevents your opponent from casting Puppet Master directly on the Paladins? They can't heal themselves. Making stacks with a few Paladins for Lay Hands won't help very much as these can be killed easily, and having many large stacks also limits your choices in the tactics phase.
Splitting them in equal stacks could be a solution if you have very many of them, but even then they sometimes can't reach a certain stack... and  there is the target...

I agree with this. The fact that the Paladin is a tier 6 is a downfall for this ability, because the enemy will cast Frenzy/Puppet Master on them to prevent Lay Hands AND it will be cast on a strong stack. So I don't get it how you can use Lay Hands... without splitting, which is not very good because the splitted stacks (small) can be killed easily and they use a slot in your army.

yeah, get conscripts instead of additional stack of life-saving palas.. There is no problem with space in the army.

Why the heck do you say small stack of palas will fall fast? Just keep it a bit behind, dark magic users are not ultra-powerful killers. necro, academy etc won't be a problem, and against inferno your paladins will take out nightmares/cerberi and if you are a thinking player and you went for dark magic yourself, devils will fight by your side/be completely disabled.

Guys, don't do the theorycrafting.. I played haven a bit, and that ability saved a lot of my units. It's very useful.

I am haven lover an I agree with Doomforge, Lay Heands is a livesaver, though you both have right. Nothing prevents for casting Puppet Master directly on Pals, but if someone gets Light Magic it even would be more easy (dispel). I take that because I invest into armypower and all will agree haven is might-oriented and mass Divine Strentgh on expert is devastating (and I take defensce, leadership, luck, light magic + attack form klaus). IMO raising own army potency in haven is more comfortable that lowering others'. But Puppet Master, Frenzy, Blind - those are also very powerful.

also agree with post under this post (sdfx)

Well, this ability isn't amazing, and usually it will be better to attack with the Paladin then to use it, but there are situations that it is needed.

Yes, lay hands generally sucks COMPARED TO paladin's damage but it's not because it's a bad - it's just bad compared to imba pala damage.

Imagine if a sucky treant or a pit lord had it. Then a general opinion about inferno would look like:
"omg, omg, my inferno rocks, my devils are cool, enemy always tries puppeting them but I'm always safe becasue I simply teleport my pit fiends and use lay hands."
and about sylvan:
"omg, omg, who ever said that sylvan have creeping problems? I only use 2 treants for creeping and let them use lay hand on each other. My hunters can't be confused, emeralds can be saved from a puppet and the treant doesn't suck because they have kick ass ability."

Well, that's the problem of having a unit with good damage AND good ability. You have to choose between doing damage or using a good skill
