Pleasant or bad.

Great, today, I woke up with the sound of yelling and crying. (first day in months, where I didn't woke up, peacefully)
It was also the first time, I had to call an ambulance. It was also the first time I had absolutely no idea what to do.

First time I saw someone who didn't cooperate with the medics. About the hundredth time, I damned my brother's stubbornness. First time I had to clean up blood and vomit. Yeah, you can call it quite a hectic morning. First time I had the feeling of something really miserable. Second time, I'm posting something like this, here.

Uhmm... Yeah "gedeelde smart is halve smart" (dutch proverb sayng: shared pain is halved pain)

I thought that shared happiness was double happiness?

Well, since you're studying languages, I'll take your word for it.

Actually shared pain is half the pain for you since you joy that you're not the only one.

Just try it next time you accidentally kick a doorframe. Stomp on someone's toes and it's much better.

Today and yesterday were the busiest days I've experienced in a long while.  I had to prepare a bunch of music tracks for my youth band, and I had to compile a CD of cover songs for a friend.  The bulk of the last two days were devoted to finishing all the necessary songs for both parties.  Crafting songs can often be a lengthy process, and having a deadline makes it even crazier.  One of the songs I worked on this morning was particularly hard; I deleted half an hour's worth of work because I knew it'd be best to start over.  I completed all the songs in the nick of time.  I ran around the house in a mad rush to get everything ready for today's meeting.  And since I was sweating for about 4 or 5 hours straight, I had to take a quick five minute shower to make myself presentable.  (My bedroom is very warm, and I turn off my electric fan while recording with the microphone.)

I arrived at the meeting, and I gave my friend his copy of my music.  He seemed excited about it; he'll be giving me feedback later.  Sometime later, I let my band members hear one of the tracks I prepared.  They really liked the drums and keyboards (our music has always been limited to a solo acoustic guitar and occasionally a bass).  I will let them hear more next Sunday and Tuesday.

Now that the meeting's over, I can finally kick back.  I can listen to whatever music I feel like hearing, and I can enjoy a few tries at Pinball.  I wanna work on some new songs, as well.  Of course, I can finally get some much-needed sleep.  I was awake for a full 24 hours two days ago, so I went to bed at 10pm last night and woke up at 7am today.  That means I still have a number of hours to catch up on.

I just had dinner; I ate and drank a lot because I worked straight through lunchtime and perspired most of the water outta my system.  It feels great having my *** planted in front of the fan right now.  The point blank bombardment feels heavenly.  Earlier at the meeting, we were in a room where the air conditioner was malfunctioning.  Hawaiian summers are harsh mistresses.

My friend told me he received a free smoothie at the local 7-Eleven last Friday since it was 7/11; I kicked myself.  After leaving a doctor's appointment on Friday, I had it in mind to walk over to 7-Eleven since I was thirsty.  And then...I changed my mind and walked home.  Mmm...free smoothie.  Damn!

My god, reading my old posts brings me back to 2008.  Those were different times, and I wish things went as smoothly now as they did back then.  But alas...need I quote Bob Dylan?

My final exams are over and I'm a free man again!  Well, free but permanently ill.  It was quite a semester, with more positives than negatives.  I was busy, busy, busy.  I made several new friends, and I gained more confidence at giving oral presentations.  I doubt I ever put as much heart and soul into studying as I did in the last few months.  Maybe I'm just starting to take things seriously, especially with all these new ambitions on the rise.  I barely resemble the student I was three years ago.

The university will release my grades in 3 or 4 days.  I can't stand waiting; I wanna know now!  However tortuous the next few days will be, I'm still grateful that I'm on vacation.  I can sleep, go out for walks, see friends, do music, and practice some language.  I also got in some hours playing Heroes 3, which was kinda cool.

Life still gets hard at times, regardless of my efforts to think positively.  To help cope, I've been cracking jokes like crazy all semester.  I even made my professor and classmates laugh during my oral presentation.  It's the little things like that which makes this miserable existence so worthwhile.  Also, my mom's been under plenty of stress lately, so I do my best to keep her laughing.  It helps, because things can get pretty busy and tense at home.

Disc One of Arizona Live '92 just finished playing, which concludes my music-listening for tonight.  I'd listen to Zooropa if it wasn't lost in my huge pile of CD's.

I should really be in bed.  I gotta play guitar with my team in a few hours, so I hope I'll feel up to it.  Hopefully, we'll have time for a jam session afterwards, and then I can come home and eat ice cream.  After all, I can't get away with certain things during a school week.
