Manual 2.1a, page 87/261
"Hunters and Druids will deal 20%+Level*2% of their normal damage, divided in two shots for the Hunters/Master Hunters. All shots will target the weakest (lowest tier) stack in the enemy army (if several stacks have the same tier, the last in the army list is targeted). Shots are influenced by all the usual factors (Range Penalty, Archery, Evasion, Luck, Artifacts...)."
The most important "detail" about it is that AI makes a shot.. So, it means that all Findan does is killing some weak fodder even if it's ONE peasant.
So, Findan is actually underpowered and even if a player could aim instead of AI then still he would be no way near as overpowered as Wyngaal(fixed or not).

Nival needs to add some Sovereign animations and abilities.
Otherwise the sovereign would be the number one.

I think Raelag in HOF is the most powerful hero. At level 20, it's like having Ring of Speed and Staff of Netherworld... and we all know how overpowered those arties are (imagine Raelag with Ring of Speed, Ring of Celerity and Staff of Netherworld)

+ casting expert mass haste and expert mass slow on the enemies.
wow I wonder if they would ever be able to attack again!

After reading what the lords of Heroes V have had to say about tactics and strategy, I think it's safe to say that the best hero in this game is whichever one I'm playing with.

I think it depends on your playstyle whichever heroes is the best.
For small maps Deleb rules everything but in larger maps she won't be able to do anything against a skilled academy player. So in this type of situation you would rather pick marbas and only use Deleb for creeping. She only helps a LOT but inferno can also creep good without her. So basically what im trying to say is that the hero that fits your playstyle is the best eventhough there are heroes whos specials are overpowered which makes them superiour to others no matter what kind of game you play.

i like king tolghar.. but than again im a noob and i am really really bad at this game.
ive read how some of you blokes like to play, gave it a go and it doesn't work for me

I know nothing bout campaign heroes coz i havent hinish any campaign but when it comes to multigame deleb is the best just because she can conquer nearly all the map with just a bunch of random units very quickly. Its preety sad coz id love to use war machines hero while being inferno even if she had no special at all but i cant use her just because she is too powerful.
Oh for large maps perhaps (bugged) wygnal (or bugged description of wygnals special as some say^^) might be better.

Still, Havez is like twice as imba as Deleb. Summoning and dark is truly imba/broken combo vs creeps - mass slow, mass confusion fire trap, elementals, frenzy, blind.. sure he has to get right spells but he will get something good for sure.
About war machines, it's not ballista damage that is so strong but hp(1100) which is quite ridiculous early in the game and stupid creeps will of course keep whacking that poor tent, poor ballista or even ammo cart till it's very dead. Deleb will just die or run away if her war machines are destryod but stupid Havez can easily repair any war machine with stupid gremlins..

Leadership was for campaign and storyline purposes. It makes sense that he'd have leadership with his special and his diplomatic approach of things. Gameplay-wise it's a waste of a skill but who cares

I actually like Raelag a lot. So far I've yet to experience not being able to deal the first strikes with him, he basicly ensures your grim raiders, furies and dragons get to rush in first and deal the first devestating wave of damage. Very much enjoyed it.
Same goes for Agrael, which has the same effect basicly.

Sadly I think the strongest hero in HoMMV is Nicolai... respawning when I didn't have Phoenix's, now that was imba...
