Poll Question:
Cerberus

In Greek mythology Cerberus was the Guardian of the Underworld. He was captured by Hercules after going one on one with him but released back.Perhaps he should be a higher tier creature. With the two possible upgrades I think Orthus would be fine as the other upgrade, hell hound is still the downgraded creature.Orthus was a two headed dog who guarded Geryon's cattle. He was eventually killed by Heracles, for he's tenth labor was to capture his cows.

Cerberus, having three heads inflicts more damage than Orthus, but Orthus can breathe fire.
They are both level 6 creatures.

He is fine the way he is

I like it as it is. I can't imagine a gruadian dog on level 6.
Maybe a giant dog would fit there, but not the Cerberus...

agreed, 9/10 of the time, level 6s are 4 square creatures, if you made the cerberus a giant man eating dog, then i might agree, but at this moment, i'm with GL

It should be a bit stronger IMHO,maybe lvl 4 or lvl 5,but not higher than that, other creatures are much more powerful and heroes have their own view ofcratures ratings...
Just my two cents

Titans are in Greek mythology the predecesors of Zeus and the gods and they are level 7 units in heroes. That shows respect.Behemoth was a feared creature in mythology,he is a level 7 creature as well.Minotaurs and centaurs were in mythology beasts but not the greatest threat in the world. In heroes they are fair units. The Lymean Hydra was one hard-to-kill beast and in heroes it has been since the beggining a powerfull creature.

Cerber? He was just the Warden of Hades, guardian of the Underworld, had poisonous skin and 3 heads but I guess level 3 suits him

Maybe tier 4 but not tier 6 or 7.
Tier 5 if they change the look of it.

So being a level 1 creature throughout the series is a "fair unit"?

Centaurs will be level 2 in tribes of the east, and minotaurs have allways been a good tier. From 3-5.I think that's fair.

Which makes you wonder about simple humans
Is an ordinary human swordsman or elven archer worthy of being the same tier as the Guardian of Hades or the Minotaur?

Well, perhaps those ordinary footmen have the strenght of hercules. You know he was able to capture Cerberus and drag him all over Greece, just so he can return hum back to Hades. And a well placed arrow can kill even the most powerfull beast.Shoot a minotaur in the chet and he won't fill a thing, but aim for his neck and he might die, that is of course if the archers are the sharpshooters they should be

I think it's fine as it is.
Honestly, we all - or me, at least- know about those myths and legends, but the main problem is that in it's current appearance and size, does not really qualify for a tier 6 creature, and turning them into a breed of giant man-eating dogs would probably rape the entire appearance of Inferno. It just wouldn't fit in.
And tiers don't resemble repect for a creature. It's how useful it is. If they had given it terrible stats and abilities, then you could complain...But any Inferno player will tell you that the Cerberi are great creatures!

When you have little to say, write little.

However, I do feel that something worth saying (To lazy to check if it has already been said) is that Ashan mythology is not the same as Earth mythology.  There are similar creatures, but where they come from is radically different.  Eg, Minotar was originally the offspring of a bull and a queen (long, kinky story, don't ask) but in Ashan, they are creations of the Wizards.

I agree Orthus would be a fine alternative upgrade instead of ... Firebreather Hound? Yuck!

Level 3 sutes me nicely for these hounds, however.

Yeah. I really wish that in some campaign the Hero has some ability which makes Horned Demons large creatures, with the model changing to match, because they look to ferocious for their size, and would be awesome as large.
