Meh, I've given complaining about polution up a long time ago. There are too many people who don't care about it, for money, or just because they're too lazy...The best way to cope with all this, is just trying to do what's best for the environment, and hoping that others will do the same as you.

As for planting trees: Even if by some way, all of the Amazon suddenly recovers, we can't keep polluting like this. Trees don't filter the air, they just absorb a part of the COČ in their leaves. (They release it again during the fall/winter) So we can't keep polluting like this...

the first part:let's say we are not just complaining,it is as you said "trying to do what's best for the environment,and hoping that others will do the same as you. ".
yes it is hope that keep us going.The idea is like this,you encourage me ,and I others.We might give some motive to lazy people,but greedy ones mostly hopeless.

the second part:I'm not an expert but it might help a little bit planting some trees.even if the emissions is much immense.
