LOL! Dungeon seems the most probable faction to experience such self-criticism moments That and inferno. My bet is that you had a quick battle before that. I think I heard TotE will have the option not to use spells on quick combat.

Nah i dont really use quick combat with dungeon lately coz it really drains my mana... The thing was that i felt too confident that i can kill them without much trouble and was cought with my pants down. I should have casted 2 lighting bolts or something instead of 1 implosion, that would do. I had almost full mana if i remember correctly but 5 or so empowered implosions costs a bit. I rarely cast so many spells in one battle

Summoning with Warlock can be very effective. I've tested it many times and it never failed. The (full) skilltree looks like this: destructive, sorcery, summoning, enlightenment and luck (sometimes i skip luck). I also rush for mage guild lvl 5. Now, the thing is to get to expert summoning and basic destructive as fast as possible. It's not hard to get enough mana to cast a pheonix and 2 fireball/circle of winter, and that's enough to creep anything. Fireball should be used against casters/archers and pheonix against walkers. The warlock has huge spellpower so he's gonna summon a nice pheonix.
Edit: Summoning has many useful spells to deal with walkers... Consider firetrap, Phantom forces (cast phantom forces on your furies), arcane armor, so if you dont get pheonix in your guild it's not a tragedy. Also, you can get the pheonix from vaults or utopias.

About creeping most 2x2 creeps(like devils) fast with destructive.
The trick is to have fireball and master of fire.
Devils move but they will attack anything what is in range ASAP so it's good to look at ATB bar and move fodders to "place" devils in right spots.
Then, fireball fries all 4(maybe 3) devil stacks + furies own -50% defense devils even more.

Ah, that's it... i've always used this strategy, but i didnt know it was called that way. It's a pity not to use 2-3 magic schools with academy since its army is so weak and you always get spells from 3 magic schools in your guild...

Quote: 40 titans on week 4 is a must see if it works every game without lost units.
Fight itself isnt very cool, it looks like killing 40 archers Just cast shower or implosion till they are gone and do it before they kill your scouts. You need powerful hero for this to perform thats why its 4th week(at least it too me about that time), high spell dmg exp sorcery, i think warlocks luck is necessary be coz you want to take down at least 1 full stack with each casting(or maybe 2 with 2 castings). I did it 2 times i think , its not very difficult , you just need right hero. If you join any ghost/specters along the way you can save them for fight like this.

For the dungeon part,u can do magamas at week 2 with just 1 fury and lvl 5-6 hero, just keep runing around with the one fury while the hero slowly kills them, and master of ice helps alot if u have ice bolt, better to use 2 stacks of furies, incase they get morale or something.

If your mana and spellpower are enough yes. They'll probably be divided in 3-4 stacks so there's not much running around even if you wanted to. At best you can hope in a terrain with obstacles and them blocking each other.

No,they mostly come in 2 stacks,so u have a decent chance, and u dun need mana really if u are expert at running around, the most important thing tho,is to always wait, never defend ^.^

Hmmm... I've tried the other day to play with a might-dungeon and i was surprised to see that it can be very good. I picked Kythra and went against necropolis. I had leadership, attack, defense, enlightenment (for the extra stats, of course) and destructive. The thing is, i dont know if it was luck or no, i've got about 13 att, 12 def, 18 sp, and 4 kn. I mean... 12 def can solve many problems for dungeon. So... is it true that going for a might-dungeon could give you better defense at levelups?

Hmm it's a useful piece of advice but still my opinion is that it depends a lot on the hero.

Very much. For this topic I assumed you get average heroes with favourable starting skills/spells. For instance Jhora is good but not like Havez in earlygame. Likewise I would not use Ossir but rather Ylthin, creature specialists and heroes with warmachines can make a big difference and give misleading results that outmatch the faction's potential.

Wow I love this post elvin.
In hard difficulty I personally do not have problems creeping lvl1กซ3 creatures in first 2 weeks with each faction. With some proper skills(like warmachines or destructive etc.)I can do much better. Then the real challenge can be creeping as many times as possible in a day. But still I think Dengeon, Academy and Necropolis generally have more creeping power than the rest.
I hate losing units in creeping, so I almost always use the units from other factions as distractions or meat shields if needed. But I will always fight for the important artifacts or other treasures even if it means heavy loss(not too heavy). You know like two treasure chests(choose exp.) on day 2 may change the whole game(or destory it if you are careless in creeping). So there really isn't any creep that I will certainly pass. If I feel I need to fight it, I fight it.

Wait, horde of lv 1, seems like heroic difficulty to me
ofc, in heroic difficulty, there is a huge gap beetwen some faction creping potential, especially if played with random heroes

With Tote it seems that inferno gated decoys and war machine bait no longer shine. The creeps now tend to ignore your gated units and when given the chance go straight for your 'real' units... really annoying

Pack of shadow witches/thanes/treants/pit fiends/rakshasas: Off limits. Maybe rakshasas and witches week 2 but there will be losses.
if you have ingvar and shieldguards, you can attack against shadow withces, because shadow witches kill about 1-6 shieldguards in one shot not so big deal having 80-100 shieldguards
