you can get the ultimate with arantir, i got it, just use the skill wheel and find a memory mentor(they are on almost every map in the campaign) and you'll get it

I got the ultimate without the memory mentor, but I was lvl 30-32 when I got it

Well, I didi too 2ndhero. only that i sacrificed lots of renegades. i think i had killed Orlando even easier with that troops. 168 seraphs

Hi,
Can someone help me with ToE?
I'm stuk at the third campaign, second mission (one Khan, one clan).
I can't reach the last clan (teal player), not by boat or land. must be missing something (killed all enemies on the map)

Buy a summon boat talisman from a town, when you get close to water you'll be able to call a boat.

You mean the vessel of Shalassa spell?
the problem is that I can never use it. There is a shore besides the Harakh Town but the spell is grayed out. Any more ideas?

Yes that's what I meant. There is a ramp, you must move till your horse's hooves are inside the water  If you are close enough the spell will appear.

For this title, the site says that the maps of the original are not in this game. So does that mean that I just shouldn't worry about them or can I play on the original maps (vanilla and HOF) if I buy those two titles as well?
Secondly, is the game balanced? I would like to play heaven, I'm reading threads on this forums that say that heaven is weak at the beginning thus it can not survive to the end. Is that true? I don't care if heaven is not the strongest, but if it's the weakest by far then it's no fun because losing every game is not as fun as being able to win some games.

the game is balanced for the most part. if you know what your doing you can win with any faction. especially in single player. and for haven you can get a pretty good balista and griffins rock. i dont think haven is the weakest at all.

@HeroesDome...no game is perfectly balanced. You have a chance to win with every faction so it's good enough. If you are talking mp and certain maps maybe it's different but most people (you?) play Single player.
You only need Tribes of the East for the 'complete' experience.

What do you mean by "the complete experience?
What happens if I also have the earlier 2 installed? Do I get the extra maps from them or do the standalone have nothing to do with those?
If I do get the extra maps, are they compatible with TOE? That is, would there be elements on the new maps, new sites etc... missing from the old maps?
Another question is, is single player like a scripted campaign, or can I play any faction I want in a "free campaign" like a sandbox mode?
Lastly, how long does a game last here? Is it very fast paced so it ends in a few turns (gamedays?)
Or can you like play for thousands of turns or more in a very long game?

The old mp (freeforall) maps are in ToE but without new stuff on them.
The campaigns and scenarios are scripted maps that aren't in ToE natively but can be downloaded from age of heroes.
The three games are seperate so having one or the other doesn't affect ToE.
There are lots of fan maps that can be played some with scripting some without. All the maps work in ToE but ToE maps wouldn't work in h5.

I hear that the original game has a heavily cheating AI. Has TOE improved this? Are there any difficulty levels without a cheating AI? Most other games only has cheating AIs for the highest difficulty levels.

So the single player AI cheats on all levels?
So how many people are online?
So TOE was released a year and a half after the original HOMM5, has Nival done Nothing to improve the AI? So that's the second expansion already, did they just add new models and graphics?

AI cheats badly everywhere But it's necessary seeing how incompetent it is.. I prefered the H3 way where it felt like playing a human and did not see the map or build everything before week 2. It can rush you week 3 with tier 7 upgraded.
As for online you can find quite a few opponents, check toh.
As for AI there have been some minor improvements but nothing to be excited about. H5 is better with online play, mostly the reason I keep playing.
