It protects all friendly stacks that are only one tile away from the mage's attack. The attack itself is still the same as for mages and archmages, so you can now protect them and still shoot without suffering casualties on your side.

It seems Mages' attack doesn't hurt neighbouring allied units. Finally

Does multi hit work on retaliation? Does it only work if your dragon gets luck? Do you think that the crystal dragon is superior so that you will pick it every time?

Ornella is funny. Even though she uses an old special, she has the Fallen Knight Perk from Haven... don't see why they didn't just make her a speciality like that instead of blocking her from the ultimate ><.

yes, it is. However, in the campaigns for Tribes he has the ability to create (or just move) a flying town. I'm not sure of the details though. And Stephane just said it's a scripted ability only for the campaign (which is a good thing most likely). I was only curious to see the details about how it worked is all.

Zehir and Arantir are indeed iinspiring characters with their somewhat unusual special abilities. Avatar of death and flying "pet" town are fresh innovations
And Crystal dragon? Good name though sapphire owuld be more fitting, and aint most crystals in H5 red?

Yeah, that seems to be a bit of a pity. Crystal Dragons in Heroes are meant to be actually made out of crystal. These ones have nothing to do with crystal whatsoever except the resource cost.
Vampire Prince, Wind Dancer, 'Rot' Zombie, Arcane Archer, Brisk Rider and Pristine Unicorn are also a few creature name changes I don't really like at all.
All of the new creature icons are pretty amazing though, IMO.

Has anyone tested the Dryads symbiosis ability? Does it work good or is it crap?

It is great, it resurrects both the dryads and threants without them having to be close. That way you can charge your dryads and replenish their losses with the treants later.

while i was enraged at first, that all the changes are just recolord version, after the demo,i have rejoiced:
the stronghold is fantastic and intreeging:
But i would find the goblins usefull soly in the perepse of being throwen, eaten,or sacrficed, since they never retalite.keeping small part of them will sephice, there abilitys are not that good.
i like the centour muradors more, the armor, and no melee penatly, although i saw whats menuvaring means, lol nice add.
i'd go for warmongoers, they look better.
sky doughter, for the chain lightning, chiftains, pokai for the scavanger and more hp,and bloodeye.
as for the rest im loving it,form what i read, but im still unhappy with sqiure unfitting name, swordsman would fit it so much better..

Oh..so they actualy resurect one another...thats great . Well it seems to me that Sylvan is the best town after this new expansion : dryads and treants working great togheter, the wind dancers with their incredible defence, the arcane archers with their (imba) force arrow and let's not forget the Crystal dragons and their incredible offensive capabilities. That reminds me :
@Elvin thanks for that ingame picture with the crystal dragons killing everything .

One thing I noticed is the spellbook: Spells are now ordered by Magic School first, and then by level. As you learn new spells, the other spells that you already know and that come after the new ones all shift further back in your spellbook. But especially the grouping by Magic School makes them truckloads easier to find.
Imperial Griffins that make a Battle Dive now keep showing on the ATB, so you know when they're back on the map. I didn't check to see if it was possible to attack them on the ATB, or cast spells on them.
So far the few maps that I've played all look a lot better than the original maps and the HoF maps. I'm not sure what they changed in their design, but it just looks and feels better, more lively, more varied. They also added more and new terrain textures, which helps a lot in this area.

On that note I hope fan mapamakers start working it up again! The maps really slowed down lately, I guess everyone was waiting for new game map editor.
Some day when I have time I'll learn the map editor. Gah, there's never time.
