Just been looking at the skillwheel. I'm not a hardcore player, so I might be judging this wrong, but Shatter light seems really good. Refined mana means sky daughters can use chain lightning without sacrificing any goblins, and storm wind seems great too. Shame you can't have both. Anyway, definitely seems like a skill worth going for.
Also, does shout really have a 2% chance of popping up? It seems like a skill most barbarians should have

Finally, is there a list of what the levels/bonuses of rage for each creature are?

From the demo, though, I love the orcs and will probably be playing them a lot.

Edit: Also, with the Memory Mentor, would it be possible to learn something like dark revelation, and unlearn it, or would that lose you the level up? Could you theoretically get the 10%HP bonus from stamina over and over again? Or even the level up from dark revelations? (yeah, I'm sure that doesn't work one way or another, would be too easy ^^)

Now I finally have the game too There are many nice improvements from HoF, like now the enemies act more tacktical on the map. They use scantuary's and have less stupid movements. Many of the new upgrades are really great, but there are many ugly names too. Arcane Archer is extremly powerfull, but their name should rather have been Sharpshooter and the yyyyiiiiihhhhhaaaaa shout when you win a battle is so..... unelvish

Btw, do you think Arantir's special ability is very usefull? To me it was nice in the start, but now I'm on the fith map in his campaign and I have Expert Summoning Magic. My avatar costs 52 mana while Summon Pheonix cost 35 and is more powerfull

Btw 2, on the campaign I have Howl of Terror. It's very easy to get now

It aint that good if you got great army - But You can easily beat the high cost of mana . Just get Ring of Sar-Issus. It halves cost of all spells

And can i just say: Banshee howl is awesome if you get whole necro set!! It kicks ***!!! And I love the necro's . They are awesome, Aranthir and Onella rocks! Arantir's character is great.. And the alts. are awesome - Okay the banshee sucks - BUT!! The master lich is awesome, raise dead x 2 Rocks, plus you got it with your hero . I don't think i have lost over 50 creatures pr map... . The only bad thing is Dark energy, since the 600 points you have is shared by both heroes... which i find bad :S Because after 1 (Big) battle I loose all my 600 points on 1 hero.. - But ELSE! Necro's rock and this is first time I feel joy playing them

I agree that the new necromancers are great. My Banshee Howl (with Howl of Terror), artifacts and Spectral Dragons reduces enemy morale to -8 when the enemy hero have leadership! The enemy did not have a chance allthough they were in greater numbers than Arantir.

Any one-time bonus is definitely gained: you don't lose when "unlearning", and you don't gain it again if re-learning. On the other hand, it means that you can get the skill for the one-time bonus, and then unlearn it to pick another ability. However, Memory Mentors are not that frequent or cheap.

Not exactly: the cost depends on your hero level. Check the details in the manual.

In this replay you can see that brisk raiders are totally awesome and that some Deleb ballista ownage even with her special nerfed. Oh yeah warmachines rock till the end.

In case you don't know how to watch it, go to my documents->my games->Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East->profiles->[your username]->replays. Just put the file in there and watch the replay, I think it's in the options.

I should mention that I replayed this battle a few times, it is damn hard.

Done with necro campaign! The cutscene at the end was... Wicked... Its all so... (finally) well written. The web of mysteries in Dark messiah is now being combined with HoMM V!

Hmm, considering that the majority doesn't have the game yet, so your replay is only for the selected few So, maybe you would like to demonstrate verbally what brisk raiders do in the clip? I imagine that I would never pick them instead of Dark Raiders.. and i would be happy if it ain't necessarily so.

I have the game and I am willing to say my plea.(Remember Nalia from Bg2 Elvin? She always say bla bla bla hear my plea he he...anyway...)

Things about TotE.
1.All Havens alternatives are better.
2.Arcane archers shoot only once
3.All inferno alternatives are better.
4.Academy alternatives stinks lol
5.The game is boring I dont know why.Many thigs throwed around...
6.The music is good.
7.Duel heroes are unbalanced That is a new thing aint?lol
8.Orcs are "beautifull".I like the ciclops underware.
9.All scenario heroes are lookalike.(females and males are the same)
10.Daleb the horned female is still powerfull.Her balista can shoot well into an ciclop's ass.
11.Heroes like golem master,hunter master etc...start with more troops(6,6,7 golems or such.)
12. The new dwarfs alternates are fatter than the ones before.
13.The pink necropolis is looking better.Pink power forever!!
14.The combat map is charging faster now.
15.The new pixies are giving me creeps.Are like barbie dolls with some vampirism on them.
I will return later with some new informations he he

Vermin, succubi, pit spawns, hell stallions and archdemons are not necessarily better. I have faced either of them and the old upgrades can still defend their position.

Which is why it is not boring. It's almost like starting a game from scratch - H5 reinvented.

Only with flaming arrows. She can be powerful later though because her early fireball is really negligible.

Now I am undecided what is better, archangel or seraph. Resurrection is good but divine vengeance does some cool damage. And having finished the necropolis campaign I am very satisfied. I believe the last mission was brilliant in gameplay, difficulty and plot. Kinda reminded me the last mission of Adrienne where the map was riddled with enemy maps and portals
The campaign was challenging enough, had a plot and the heroes were more 'fleshed out' than before. They even gave us an insight in the renegades' way of thinking and fixed some loose ends.

In one instance of the video the raiders circle some pitspawns hitting them three times. Apparently when facing  large units they are very effective. Most of the time they hit two enemy stacks. Compared to the grim raiders I'd say it's about wanting a charge and die unit with good damage or one that can live longer dealing damage around. Unless the enemy focuses on it of course Against factions with high defense the grim raiders are no brainers.

This is really one distinctive structure in this expansion. Its use is very significant. I wonder how many are around in the campaign. I wish I could use it (re)playing with Findan in the original H5 campaigns.

So far these AI improvements seem to apply to campaign.  Any comments about AI on multiplayer maps?  I did notice some improvement in the demo.

AI has improvement nicely no more can you stall slow enemies by Gating and Summoning creatures in front of them they simply ignore them if your army is weak. Seems also that AI uses Defend and Wait more often in right places than before. In both Orcs and Necros campaigns i saw few things where AI had improved but don't get your hopes up it's still AI.

Its true the new griffins are too powerful for level 4! They have like 5 abilities and good stats! they must kick 1-2 of the abilities!

Hmmm they are not so bad, they are cool. Djinn Vizier's is useful troops, Battle Mage and Storm Titan are nice too... well the gremlins stinks...

... they are not on the model of the DM orcs... not exactly only the orange skins is the same... in DM they are not beautiful but they look better.

Yep this sux... they must be grey, dark green and Turkish blue - dark blue like the night.

EDIT: Some from me:

- Now new neutrals
- Now dwellings for neutrals
- Now dwellings for creatures after level 3 (only the stupid military posts)

even when i played at easy, they did not flee from me in battle, even though my army was was bigger and stronger that theirs, and in my opinion, it's a good change =)

This is probably a silly question but I want the answer regardless... or, would like the answer.

The TOE expansion does not include the original campaign, but does it include the HOF campaign?

And if it doesn't future the original campaign, how can you play the TOE campaign if you don't have the original game, since I reckon the heroes you built up in the original campaign are transported into those new campaigns as well, or am I mistaken?

And wtf's this about modding no longer possible? if the files are still xdb and in .pak files, it's moddable!!!! Sheez...
