Yep, goblins need boosting. I suggest giving them no retaliation attack, unlimited retaliation, invisibility (for 10 turns), mana drain, tax payer and implosion spell.

I'm glad you agree but I don't feel all that is necessary; they should not have the implosion spell. At least not until they are upgraded.
When I said "to later literally throw them away", I was speaking of their use as cannon fodder for Cyclops. I would rather toss basic goblins as they do the same damage.

Yes ok, implosion for the upgraded ones, but give the non upgraded ones at least meteor shower or other lvl 4 destructive spell and the ability to cast it at expert level.
@pheonixreborn.... yes, it can be imba, but if it gives 1 gold for every 2 goblins, is it still imba???

Ok if we don't take the heroes and what they add to the creatures into consideration...sure goblins need a boost.
So do Skeletons, Skeleton warriors, and Skeleton Archers. They need to be stronger also. Faster too, both init and speed. Only init for the archers tho.
Wait, then shieldguards would need a boost. Yeah they have a lot of hp and range isn't so hot against them, but they are too slow. They need more init and speed.
Seriously, if you upgrade one you'd have to upgrade them all. Think about that. Lots of creatures are pathetic when faced without heroes. Yet in the heroes line up they become lots more useful.

I dream of that day when goblins can produce Ore,Stongholds Ore demanding is HUGE.
BTW, IMO Goblin trappers are probably the most useful level 1 creature i early game, with maybe the exeption of stalkers. To say that they need a boost is just a bad joke. I would choose them even if they did 0 damage.

They could use the extra damage points the shamans have. Trappers are sometimes good but you cant always expect to keep all them lategame and 300 trappers wont stop 40 or so paladins most likely. And sometimes youd rather have that chance for double the damage

Once you get rolling with Kraugh or Haggash (don't know first hand about telsek yet) you can easily keep your goblins. Especially if they are trappers. Problem is trappers do nothing vs casters/range. Except rush them to get slaughtered . Creeping with those two becomes a joke. One huge problem with them is, however, distance. No not distance in combat, but in world maps. Since logistics is not the best choice with them, they travel mighty short distances unless you get lucky. Took me 2 1/2 months on Peninsula to get anything really done because of innability to travel far. The creatures are kinda weak for the most part, but rage actually is a great balance. Stronghold has a powerful army with it's heroes, rage, and creatures combined.
