If you press Alt + F9 you'll bring up the action menu in Photoshop.
You can then create a new action, select let's say F2.
Press Record, press Adjustments/Replace Color/Load your saved color/press ok/press save and then press Stop recording.
Now whenever you press F2, it'll do all those steps.
Much easier for editting multiple frames if you're just replacing colors.

Are you editing every frame? You do realize you have to change every frame, not just one picture. Open h3defview, and export all the frames to a folder. Change the color or whatever your plan for every frame, then make the def in h3deftool, and then you're done. This is pretty straightforward...

80 frames to retouch. This is gonna take forever.
EDIT: isn't there a way to adjust the first file, and apply the same effect to the rest? Or do you have to do them all manually?

Best you can do is make a script in PS to do the same actions for each frame, but this often doesn't work well.
Yes, it's a lot of work. My Covenant Town took over 1500 frames to create. 80 isn't bad especially when you're only recoloring

Batch script for recoloring does not work on bmp because frames color palette order change often. But you can do it in three steps:
1) Batch script to remove background ans save as png
2) Batch script to recolor
3) Batch script to revert to bmp and automatically restore cyan background (you must set cyan as default PS background color)

I ALWAYS have some type of background in-game. Do you have to save as a non-BMP or what? This tutorial is confusing me.

Are you using PS? After your frames are done, check out their background color. If it isn't [0 255 255] it will show up no matter how close to cyan it looks. Save as BMP, insert into def and will work.
As Salamandre said, first delete the cyan, then change color, then fill background with cyan so it doesn't get altered in the process.

Just one thing..
First of all I just wanted to say that this topic is one of the best I've read on your forums. Alot of people (including myself)are asking the same questions about how to re-make creatures and this thread explains it.
Anyway back to my problem, The re-texture is fine, the creatures that I've edited has a new look. Though the "portraits" is still the same (The old ones). How do I change them so the new re-textures ones is on it instead?
Sorry if I'm using bad english, I'm just so tired so if it's hard to understand just tell me and I will explain again tomorrow, but with better english.
Thank you !

what you're looking for is the TWCRPORT.DEF in the h3sprite.lod file.

4 Creatures are noted in erm help as UNUSED, in crtraits.txt as NOT USED. Could they be replaced by existing creatures? This would at least allow 4 more creatures.
