ToEQ Questions: ROUND 5
Welcome to the fifth round of our weekly quiz! As you may have noticed, we have been increasingly reducing the total amount of questions we create and give space for your own. We will stick to 10 questions per round (or a few more depending on our mental and physical state). The maximum guess limit for the round is limited to 7. Have fun guessing and best of luck!
1. What is the difference between a basic Mass Haste spell in the beginning and Ring of Speed?
2. Which hero class can acquire both Fiery Wrath and Cold Steel?
3. Which units have writings on them?
4. What does the perk Fire Resistance affect?
5. What are the ways to achieve casting more than one spell in one action?
6. What boosts the Elemental Chains effects?

Answers:
1) The main difference is that basic Mass Haste bonus will be applied after casting it in combat (later), whereas Ring of Speed already adds its effect to the starting ATB values.
2) Knight. All other class have a choice of getting either, but not both.
3) According to Cepheus findings (we had a bit different lists but this is self-explanatory):
Vampire (Germanic gibberish on sword)
Vampire Lord (Germanic gibberish on sword)
Nosferatu (Germanic gibberish on sword)
Lich (Book)
Archlich (Runes everywhere)
Lich Master (Book)
Inquisitor (Rim of robe)
Zealot (It's all over him - the book, the robe...)
Angel (Rim of dress)
Archangel (Rim of dress)
Seraph (Rim of dress)
Gargoyle (Runes on headstone)
Obsidian Gargoyle (Runes on headstone)
Marble Gargoyle (Runes on headstone)
Death Knight (Some runes on the sword)
Mummy (I guess you could consider that stuff on the bandages writing)
4) Fiery effects (Fire spells, Fiery Wrath, Flaming Arrows, Flamestrike, fire shield, Hellfire, etc.) AND the fiery effect of Elemental Chains.
5)Motw, imbue allow+rain of arrows, imbue ballista, light magic+pristine unicorns, Frayda, Lethos and Helmar's special, witch doctor defile magic failure, elemental balance and the dwarven set.
6) Irrestible spells, Runeforce, rage of the elements, elemental vision, altar of primal elements, (warlock's)luck, enlightenment, empowered spells, exorcism, Attack, Retribution+Leadership, Archery etc, elemental weeks, elemental gargoyles.
7) No, undead and mechanical are immune.
8)Mini artifacts, magic proof, Luck of the Barbarian, Shatter Dark, Weaken Dark, Shrug Darkness, defile magic, Might Over Magic, Protection, Sap Magic, arcane armour and bloodrage.
9) In the Arcane Library. Resurrection is one of the few spells that are aligned with Inferno and will possibly appear for purchase when a demon lord is visiting that location; with a high possibility of several spells appearing, all demon lords can obtain it. Otherwise, the list Myst provide us with contains all possibilities:
* get the Tome of Light Magic
* get a scroll with a high level light spell (I don't thinks wands can contain any)
* have learnt all other high level spells from all other schools (including adventure spells) and conquering a dragon utopia, sunken temple or pyramid (mage vault sometimes gives only level 4 spells, so no guarantee here) - light magic is not needed at this time
* learn light magic at least at advanced level, conquer an Academy Haven, Sylvan or Fortress town and build mage guild level 4
* a map where all inferno heroes except Grok are disabled (teleport)
* learn teleport assault
* wear book of power, learn Magic Insight and visit a corresponding town
* learn Arcane Intuition, fight with Seraphs in your army and let them cast Divine Vengeance (fighting against them doesn't guarantee it).
* learn light magic at least at advanced level and visit a spell shop (and have enough resources to buy a light spell)
10) Magic Resistance does not keep up the 100% save. Instead, it lowers the damage dealt by the spell against a magic-protected target, depending on the percentage of irresistible magic (mastery).

4. -50% damage from fire attacks and spells and immunity to master of fire's armor damage effect. (halves flaming ballista damage too).

I missed some details. It reduces damage from fire spells (firewall, fireball and armageddon) by 50%. Immunity from armor damaging effect (master of fire). Only half damage from ballista's flame effect. Also affects damage done by fiery wrath (halves the fire damage).

It makes owner's units resistant to Master of Fire armor-damaging effect and they recieve only 50% damage from fire spells
6. What boosts the Elemental Chains effects?
The Runeforce set and Warlock's ultimate ability
7. Can all creatures be affected by Divine Guidance?
No, only these that killed any enemy units in combat and are not immune to magic
as whole spell, cold & magic resistance arties

Rage of the elements and rune force. the Special building upgrade affects it as well.

10. Magic resistance gives a chance to resist. If the spell is resisted, instead of negating full damage, that spell still inflicts 20, 40 50 and 75% damage based on Irresistable Magic mastery.
