In later game it might be interesting to get enlightenment.

Once I had the pendant of mastery with an inferno hero with gating specialty, i got ultimate gating with the artifact and was able to gaten about 95% of my stacks, also i had 2 infernal looms to boost the gating percentage, pendadnt of mastery is just great.

Any morale decreasing effects wont effect you if you stay above 5.

2.I believe it is the shieldguards with ingvar lvl 20 that has the dwarven ultimate perk.
They would basically have 15 def and 15 hp, plus 6 def if 6 allied units died. Moreover, if the shieldguard reduces dmg with his ability, it can reduce it to up to 90%. Add that to the 30% from expert defense, and u get a pretty tough unit. And that doesnt even count spells, runes, or artefacts.
7.Well assuming u count building costs, and the requirements for that building, i'd hasard the ghost dragon.
Requirements : fort, ghost tower, citadel, castle, dragon graveyard :
22 000g, 45 ore, 45 wood, 23 mercury
Upgraded building : 8000g, 20 wood, 15 ore, 15 mercury
Dragon cost : 1900g, 2 mercury
Total cost : 31 900g, 60 ore, 65 wood, 40 mercury

I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually forgot the answers to one of my questions (9). I'm guessing it was a trick question though, seeing as the obvious answers aren't correct.
As for number 7, I can tell you guys this...it's definetly a trick question.

Ok I am going to take a very long shot  and say... an ancient treant with expert endurance, deflect missile and perhaps even magical immunity cast upon it, which uses its ability 'take roots'.
I would say that creature has enormous potential to be tough, especially if it is the last one left, as it most often is.

4.Pathfinder,Aura Of Swiftness,Mentor,Markal's Special(Lord Of The Undead I think it was),Protector,Gate Keeper
5.Raise Dead,Righteous Might,Divine Strength,Frenzy,Attack(primary),Battle Frenzy,Necklace of the bloody claw,Luck(elven luck???) and I think the effectivness is increased with initiative,because u give the creature more chance to act,so I say init-increasing too. With vampirism too maybe...
6.Raise dead reduces max HP by 20%
10.Arcane Omniscience + weeks of magic
100% missing something

I can think of three:
- The arcane Omniscience perk
- The proper moonweek, which increases the skill of cast spells of that school to expert
- Having the complete Armour of the Dwarven Kings set, which casts mass versions of (i think) endurance and deflect missiles, at expert level at the beginning of combat.

3.Galib, Zoltan, Dirael, Sinitar, Svea, Grok, Freyda, Zehir, Tolghar(if rune of thunderclap is counted spell), Godric, Helmar(if casts a 4lvl light spell righteous might may be applied. Not sure is this is count affection), Ornella if Fallen knight is counted as affection.
4.Pathfinder,Aura Of Swiftness,Mentor,Markal's Special(Death Lord I think it was),Protector,Gate Keeper and Dark Mystic and maybe Raelag from a master of something perk
7. The Titan. The phoenix isn't offered to buy anywhere in HOMM5 or HoF, and I don't know about TotE...

Zehirīs Elementals come at cost of sacrificing your own units. Similarly, Pit Lords summoned by Archdevils come at cost of your units dying first. I donīt know about you, but i consider sending my units to death the greatest cost 
6. How can the maximum hit point cap of a unit be reduced?
By Raise Death, by Resurrection. Moreover, some orc units gain bonus max HP from Bloodrage - attacking them and "dispelling" the Bloodrage will reduce max HP.
