- Mentor as in Mentoring
- Pathfinder as in Pathfinding
- Aura of Swiftness
- one more?

So its not death lord or banshee... hmmm...

Wait i just started a dwarven map the today... would it be Protector as in Protection? The defense perk?

Finishing touches have been added and hence the sixth round is off to waste. All questions have been answered, details possibly clarified, points awarded to their righteous owners. Now, we wait for the 7th round to take place which should be due Monday/Tuesday. The exact time (if there isn't any interference) will be set at 8 pm GMT wednesday.

ToEQ Questions: ROUND 5

Welcome to the already seventh round of our weekly quiz! We are pleased to inform you that even though we have less free time to cough up the questions, the community is doing a great job coming up with them. As you may see, even more of them get introduced into the quiz. The maximum guess limit for the round is limited to 7. Have fun guessing and best of luck!

1. How can you increase the effectiveness of Banish?

2. How many spells have a casting animation that causes things to fall from the sky?

3. How can you target invisible units?

4. How to dispel Magical Immunity?

5. Under what circumstances does vorpal blade not kill a single unit outright?

6. A malicious pit fiend is about to slaughter a defenseless group of sprites. How could you help it deal more damage?

7.  Which units can make a second attack after their target stack dies?

8. What were the eight capital cities in Ashan, past or present? (by Cepheus)

9. At the beginning of Queen Isabel's War, who in particular rules over each faction storywise?  Dungeon and Necropolis do not apply. (by Cepheus)

10. How many creatures can enrage? (by simpelicity)



Answers:

1)Ring of banishment, lvling hero, summoning mastery, empathy.
2) The grand total is 8. These are:
* Divine Strength (feathers)
* Righteous Might (blood drop)
* Divine Vengeance (divine sword)
* Fist of Wrath (fist)
* Lightning Bolt (lightning charge)
* Ice Bolt (ice shard)
* Meteor Shower (meteors)
* Armageddon (meteor rock)
Some spells, like Resurrection and Arcane Armor, cause some magical light to shine upon units but they are not accounted for. Technically, one could say that Sorrow causes rain, but Sorrow is just above the head of the creature.
3)Area of Effect spells and attacks, Mark of the Wizard, magic mirror, summon hive, mark of the damned.
4) Harm Touch, Rune of Magic Control, Purge.
5)Arcane armor, bloodrage.
6)- perks : hellfire, fiery wrath, cold steel, master of blessings and of wrath, searing fires, master of pain, battle frenzy
- spells : righteous might, divine strenght, vulnerability, frenzy,
- abilities : wheel of fortune, elemental gargoyles to increase damage from perks like hellfire, weakening strike from plague zombies, festering aura from rot zombies, lizard bite from grim raiders.
7) Units with more than a single attack: Cleave/Assault/double attack abilities/ballista against phoenixes, Hunters and Master Hunters, Fortress units with Rune of Battlerage, etc.
8) Talonguard, Syris Thalla, Konos, Ur-Hekal, Al-Safir, Tor Myrdal, Ur-Vesphaal and Vemsdal.
9) Haven - King Nikolai Griffin, Sylvan - King Alaron, Fortress - King Tolghar, Academy - Cyrus, Stronghold - Quroq Khan, Inferno - Kha-Beleth.
10) The grand total is 51.  The calculation works this way: each town has at least 1 creature (including its upgrades) that have the enraged ability (3 x 6),  with the exception of Fortress where 2 creatures have it (3 x 2). While Stronghold, however, has got a single unit (Warriors) with enraged ability but due to their Blood Rage ability every creature (except for Wyverns) enrages (to some extent) after acquiring Blood Rage levels (3 x 6). Furthermore, Talanar's specialty adds Enraged to three Sylvan units (3 x 3).
