Poll Question:
HC Worldvision - The basic idea
Hey I was wondering for quite some time now if anyone is interested in making an international music contest right here at HC. Some might have heard about the Eurovision song contest which is a really big thing in Europe with a lot of countries taking part in it each and every year, sometimes the contest might get a bit political related but most of the time the best song does win.
So I was thinking about these steps or rules but of course that I'm open for suggestions.
1. Each member could enter his country into the competition.
2. Each country could enter just 1 song that will be decided by the members of that country. Except the US cause most of HCs members are american it would only be fair if they could enter 2 diferent songs.
3. Once you choose a song you can enter it by uploading it to the internet and posting the link in the contest thread or if you can find it already up somewhere like youtube or any other site you can link us to it.
4. When all entries are ready and decided, we could start the voting process with the exception that a country can't vote for itself but for other countries.
5. Each country representer will hand out 5 scores to 5 other countries, 1st place 12 points, 2nd 10, 3rd 8, 4th 6, 5th 3.
Can we pull this out or it's too crazy for you people?
Personally I don't see it being that hard if people will be interested enough, music is something that can unite all of our different countries like it happens at the eurovision. We would be able to learn something new about other members and their countries and basically it supposed to be fun...

Why not.
Would be awesome if I could post some songs from the entire ex-Yugoslavia (probably the second best rock scene in Europe of the time, right after the UK), but it won't be a problem to post songs made only by Serbian bands.

If this means I can sing, I'm in. I've been practicing and hit my high notes, low notes, high screeches, ect, and well anyways... I'll sing- but it looks like we're using real songs

LoL no Celfious for that we have HCs got talent show. 
What I meant is a song performed by a band or a single artist of the country you're from, I know that it could be hard to choose from so many good ones but that's what they do every year for the eurovision

Just agree on 1 song between you, personally I think that I would enter a Russian song cause there're no Russian members around and it would be a shame.

Um... Why?
Music in the 1970s, 80s and 90s (respectively) was IMO a dozen times better than music in the last decade.
