This thread is one excellent thread! It might need to be moved to the Other Side of the Monitor though. I definitely want to post here tomorrow. For now, I'll mark it until then.
Let's not beat about the bush. That avatar of me was taken when I was 22 years old. I'm 29 now. You know what can happen in 7 years? This might sound crazy but you can have three kids, get married, and eat peanut butter sandwiches for 6 month stretches to save money to buy new clothes.
I read somewhere that Khaelo had some kind of bowl of chili or something while living in the basement with a Uber-extravert. Hey that sounds like it sucks. I just want you to know that it's all good because, at the very least, I enjoy your posts like the sun on a rainy day.
Back to me, this biography stuff is supposed to be the most revealing of the posts here on HC so like I was saying. I'm a big fat guy now. I was pushing 246 pounds when I first moved to Oregon.(2 years ago) Now I'm down to 206lbs. I'm still filled-out in all the right places even if I have lost some 40 pounds.
Everyone I know, meet, talk to, all say I'm a great father. Well that's just fine but what about the size of my arse! This chair seems a bit too comfortable a lot more with every passing day. Bah, who am I kidding? I'm a big fat guy and a good dad ta boot. Ah well, anyway I spend all my time with the kids. When I'm not doing that I'm looking for refuge in this half-baked garage. We are talking warehouse setting here. The walls....well...the walls are not finished or something. They're the sheet rock with lines of plaster on them. I think the plaster lines are there to delineate where the wooden support beams for the house framework are behind them. Anyway, the floor.....there is no floor. It's a garage with smooth concrete for a floor. Cold as ice baby. Oh yeah, and it's slanted too. The whole floor was made to let rain water run off and out underneath the barely shut garage door. Yup, I have to constantly keep the chair I'm sitting in from rolling backwards due to the slant. All the shelves, computer, boxes, etc. are propped up by using old books as a wedge under the lower part of the floor. Yes that's right, you oldtimers will remember the commercial for V8 tomato juice? I definitely need a V8. Oh but wait there's more. This is Oregon. Aside from the great volcano that looms over our heads we're also famous for the number of spider species here. I'm not kidding either. Just after it rains they horde through the opening for the rainwater drainage and make a nice cozy home in my garage. This is no joke when I say that they'll spin down while I'm typing at the comp from the ceiling. I'll be typing...spider drops from a web....slowly coming down...I'll try to hurry my typing as quickly as I can before it touches base on the desk and then slap it with a picture frame. None have dropped on my head yet but I guess it's only a matter of time. Just me and the spiders typing away at HC. It's all good. Yup, so a big fat guy, who is a good dad, killing spiders in between typing posts after the kids have gone to bed. That's me.
