Hey, if you lot had deciphered the code on that note, you wouldn't have fallen blindly into that trap. Admittedly, I probably should have telegraphed it a bit better, and gotten you the hint Christian/B-E-T-A forgot some other way while I was at it, but there WAS a hint that all was not as the Starlight Squad said if you'd bothered to figured it out.

Well. This is gonna go greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate.
Also, just noticed that Chevalin is slated to go into Mark's box. Since I have 5 filled slots, I thought that I'd said that we would be adding her to my party? Sorry if I didn't, but yeah. If Mark doesn't DIE HORRIBLY to giant rock rhinos running him down/ tusk impalement, we'll be adding the ice dragon to the party once she is ready to join up.

She's in your party I just forgot to update the note; don't forget that she's been abused and is suffering from stat loss (and a distrust of humans including her new trainer ) which will persist longer since she's in your party rather than recovering in the hospital.
Also, splitting you off from the group before Alkar tries to knock your Cosmas out again.

Meh. Was going for a non-type-bonused weak move. Forgot about dark, and it not being of any effect though. Plus, was mainly trying for confusion. Oh well. Wouldn't have gotten that either, anyway.

Ugh... I just realized I was looking at the wrong pokemon's move list when I selected Grasswhistle. Was in such a hurry at that point to get the post done, and then didn't take the time to check it later, until now. That's Snover's move...

Doesn't matter; it would have whiffed anyway. No worries!
Edit: Aaand I just realized Lucky Chant only protects the USER'S side of the field not both. So you're not the only one!

Don't feel bad Gnomes; Cosmas only has a catch rate of 45...though I think I might include some Dusk or Timer Balls in our next batch of loot regardless.

Alright, if catch rate is 45, and I got a 51 on a Great Ball, then that +20 from the Great Ball (iirc) should mean I finally caught it, right? Right?

We're using the Gen IV method so the capture chance is:
(((3*MaxHP – 2*CurrentHP)*CatchRate*BallModifier)/(3*MaxHP))*StatusBonus
HP and Catch Rate you already know.
Ball Modifier is 1 for a normal Pokeball and 1.5 for a Great Ball. (And 2 for an Ultra Ball if you're curious.)
Status Bonus is 1 for no status, 1.5 for Paralyze or Poison or Burn, and 2 for Sleep or Freeze.
So your target number for Cosmas, right now, is 15 for a normal Pokeball and 22 for a Great Ball ( ). If you put him to Sleep, it goes up to 30 for a normal Pokeball and 45 for a Great Ball.
BUT...I will give you a choice. I can DM-fiat it so the ball works right here, right now WITH THE CAVEAT that your next Capture roll that WOULD have succeeded will fail instead. Essentially trading this capture for a future one. OR you can continue trying to catch Cosmas the legit way. Up to you.

One Faustian pact, signed and sealed. Done!
EDIT: The prettified map is done; it's in the Character Sheets doc. Let me know if it needs to be bumped up in size.
Also I'm going to be away from computer for the next week; I WILL have internet access, just don't expect much in the way of number crunching from me until I get back.

Name: Gore
Type: Dark, Physical
Power: 60, then 40 for recurrent damage (see description)
Accuracy: 90%
PP: 10 (max 16)
This move does damage power 60 if it hits, then damage power 40 on the subsequent turn. The secondary damage is akin to trapping damage (Whirlpool, Firespin etc...) in that it occurs automatically unless the target has been recalled, however it only persists for one turn and the foe is not trapped.
Example:
(Round 1)
Moghog uses Gore!
Caterpie is hit for X damage!
Caterpie uses String Shot!
Moghog's Speed fell!
(Round 2)
Moghog uses Tackle!
Caterpie is hit for X damage!
Caterpie uses Tackle!
Moghog is hit for X damage!
Caterpie is hurt by its mauling!
Caterpie takes X damage!
Caterpie recovered from its mauling!

I'm good with skipping ahead a few rounds as well. If Lapras gets randomly crit, I'll send out Corphish and have him use bubble to heal up the damage, while Lapras blocks for him.

Apologies for thwarting the attempt to catch up, but I figured since you guys were being sensible about the Shadowing it'd be better to do the refresher on Raging now rather than, say...in the middle of enemy territory. And the dice agreed.
