I prefer watching football, but when it comes to actually playing the game, I'm all in for basketball, even tho my height 1.80m means I'm restricted to playing guard positions.

I love the football, love all sports really, Aussie Rules footy is ace, but real football is king for me
a netherlands and australia supporter in the world cup, Mighty Man U for the EPL and Barcelona for the Spanish League, though I don't get much of a chance to really follow that
fav player, ever .... Joyan Cruyff or maybe Dennis Bergkamp
current, none other than the goal scoring and footwork genius that is Cristiano Ronaldo

I like aussie Rules, I go for St Kilda. I also like Collingwood and Sydney Swans. My dad is a Collingwood supporter 
I also like football and played it for five years when I was younger (football, or soccer, whatever  ).

Hi. Today is 7th May. This is a verry important day for my favourite soccer club, Steaua Bucharest.
1) 22 years ago, on 7th May 1986, Steaua won the European Cup of Champions[/i. Perhaps some of you know this competition by the name UEFA Champions League. That's right! Steaua won the most important club competition in the world of soccer, unlike other more famous clubs, like Arsenal or Chelsea.
2) Today it's the last day in the Romanian Liga I, the Romanian first soccer league. CFR Cluj is the first, with 72 points, and Steaua is the second, only one point behind. At an equal ammount of points, Steaua are champions.

No, not everyone likes soccer I'm a very good example
Imo it's just walking after a round object(called a ball)
Imho the proffesional footballmen get way too much money

Yeah, that's probably it, but I also feel like I have more use of knowing how to defeat someone who's attacking me than kicking a ball into a net... If you get my point
That way, I'm having fun while simultanously learning something that's useful. Although the main part is still having fun...

If someone attacks you, he's rarely alone and it's safe to assume he has a knife or similar weapon (you don't want to think otherwise and get surprised, obviously! ). Therefore "self-defense" by itself is imho pointless. I trained box in the past and now I train BJJ, but I do it for myself, in other words, I like it. The best self defense technique is: Run. As fast as you can. :E Or if you have to fight, use a baton or pepper spray, whatever. There are no even odds when being attacked, why to reduce your chances further by fighting unarmed?

Of course, in modern day's society we have guns, knifes etc. but you can't say that it's better to not know martial arts than knowing it.
Training martial arts doesn't turn you into a fight-seeking moron, believe me...
