St. Patricks Day NOW
A Night to Remember or Shall I Forget
A beautiful crisp night blessed the Chicago skyline
I awaited great people and rested red wine
As I pranced down the stairs to that red beast of a car
St. Patrick’s Day had meant nothing to me, thus far
Until the blue transparent eyes pierced my soul
I stood in awe of all untold
I thought to myself this may be the one
The night filled with laughter and so much fun
Four leaf clovers scattered about the old Irish bar
Catching a welcoming glimpse of him staring from afar
Love in the air and good luck charms
They blessed my heart as it stood unarmed
The journey seemed short and yet so long
“Was it really two years ago that I was so wronged?”
My soul seemed so full and dripping with love
Its now perch on a cliff as I give it a shove
So as the story goes on St. Patrick’s Day now
It will become what is was before my heart made that vow
Green clovers I’ll pass with tears in my eyes
Irish pubs I’ll greet with a long sad sigh
So on your journey for love remember these words
Arm your heart with steel and let this be heard
Don't loose yourself in the process or along the way
And for me it's just another date, that O'l St. Patricks Day...

You could always look it up instead of guessing.
It's a holiday where people drink a lot of green beer among other things.

It is my guess Xerox was referring to the ST. more then the holiday itself. For ST could make it translate into street patrick's day also. Could be wrong however.
Also, excellent poem.

St. Patty's day is observed by the Irish to commemorate the patron saint of Ireland, hence the meaning of SAINT. It is entertaining to read what some you think that it is. If ever in doubt Wikapedia.com is a good source to read about anything.

I think you're full of it and have already forgotten.
Edit. Grrr, let's try this again.
I have no doubt that you're in pain. However, I do think the way you're expressing it is dishonest. After all, it is you who has decided on this course. It is your decision to turn your back on those you love and never look back. That is what you said before, isn't it? That when you make that decision, you never look back.
So this poem is a way of looking back and expressing false tears. You have gone over and over this, to the point where you're like a record and you've finally hit a scratch. And you won't ever get past the scratch, because of your willful pride in my opinion, until someone comes to fix the needle.
It didn't have to be this way. It still doesn't have to be this way. Yet you have made it this way.

You may express this as false tears all you want but I have a set of 300 thread count sheets that were saturated in salt for months. I suppose those were fake as well? The scratch you refer to is nothing more than acknowledgement of what was suppose to be a second year anniversary, but instead was poisoned by an obsession with binary code and false happiness. Please don’t send a repair man anytime soon.
So you’re right, let’s try this again shall we? This was not my choice; this choice was forced down my throat. The only choice that I really made was the one that unequivocally states, I have had enough people in my life treat me with complete disregard and I no longer enjoy it.
Every one of those people chose to allow an addiction to take over their life. They also chose to place me happily on the back burner to fry while they decided when they would get well. I got drug through the piles of needles, empty bottles of temporary happiness, and on through their recovery period. I’m done with it; I left home to get away from it and I swore no one would ever do it to me again. So pardon my French when I say **** your willful pride opinion.
So while you say it is false, I say it could not be more real. Which goes to show you that perception leads this world through every war, every murder, every affair, and every relationship that should have ever lasted the duration.

Actually, St. Patrick's day is one of my favourite holidays, though it's a catholic and not an orthodox saint... I mean, people wear green and listen to Irish music, and Irish bands hold concerts around the city... How cool can it get?
It's like everyone goes Irish for a day.
