I'd share mine, but unfortunately I don't have a high-speed connection available anymore.  That was a kick in the teeth after buying a game card to pick up some Super Nintendo games and discovering I couldn't connect.  Someday I'll have a faster connection.

My opinion about the Wii?

The Wii is a piece of c**p. Why? Well When Nintendo released the Nintendo Gamecube, that is where things went wrong. The console became something aimed at younger kids, it didn't have as many cool games on it compared to some that the Nintendo 64 had. I mean, the Nintendo 64 could be played by anyone. I guess the Gamecube could be as well, but personally, I wouldn't want to be seen playing with a game console coloured in silly colours, with a controller that is big and looks like c**p and with games that just don't seem that fun.

I mean, why did Nintendo have to do that. The Nintendo 64 was a perfect console, I have nothing negative against it, but the Gamecube, omfg don't even get me started. What happened to all the fun that could have been had with the N64? It just went downhill from there.

With the Wii, the controller (the wireless one) is a nice concept. But personally, I wouldn't want to be seen doing stupid moves in order to do a simple task like moving or throwing a bowling ball or something. It would be embarrassing to be seen doing that kind of stuff, and the space problem is also another thing. Not everyone has big living spaces, and the wireless controller is just a pos. I know that Wii has their normal controllers like what basically every other console has, too bad it sucks though.

The games are also pretty c**p as well. I mean, what happened to the games that the N64 had? Those were fun, and some were quite violent as well, and more teenage oriented and all that stuff. The Wii again is aimed towards younger people, or nerds that think Nintendo is pure uber awesomeness.

The Xbox 360 and the PS3 are more to my liking (Xbox in particular). They have games aimed for younger to adult. Unlike the Wii which is more suited towards younger. Also many of the games on the Wii are mostly good for multiplayer. The Xbox 360 and the PS3 have many games which are great fun when you can just play by yourself.

Exactly my thoughts! It's really sad how nintendo is the god of the market and they don't do anything for anybody who is over 12 years old....

Well I wouldn't say the god of the market. It is a tie between all three in my opinion, since all three have different functions. Microsoft is much more popular than Nintendo is with the older gamers because of the wide variety of things that Microsoft operates with. Sony is also the same as Microsoft. Nintendo is more popular with the younger kids.

Both the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 are the God's of the market with people over 15 years old.

Nintendo is the God of the market with people younger than 15 years old. I am not saying that only that age group plays with Nintendo products, but the majority do.

I ment to say they are the god of the market moneywise. Neither Sony nor Microsoft have as much money as Nintendo.

Let's see...

good points about the Wii

1. its fun to play with other people, and has loads of great party games, some come free with package.
2. it also has a good range of single player games, which are also just a fun.
3. the whole idea of aiming it at children is a good idea, a sought of building from the bottom up, and it doesn't have so much tedious messing about with controls.
4. There are also some games, Red steel, No More Heroes and Manhunt 2 (that is going to be lethal!), which are aimed at adult audiences.
5. the controls are very easy to pick up and use, and nintendo is just broadening out the gaming market.
6. its small enough to take round your friends house, and well known enough for people to want you to bring it round.

bad points....

1. It has an overloading of insincere anime cuteness. the kind you want to gut with a buzzsaw.
2. some of the games don't quite live up to the N64 marker of brilliance, but we must remember that the N64 was the first console to fully introduce 3D graphics, and so its like trying to compare Karl marx with his grandson (who, incidentally, was a lawyer).

The Wii is a decent console, its easy, simple to use, and pretty fun. It excels in what it does, which is to open up the video game market, and by that respect, its doing a better job that the Xbox 360 and the  PS3. the PS3 has so much technically complication, playing it is like trying to perform open heart surgery with your elbows and a teaspoon, whilst the Xbox is crowded with whooping gits who you just want to hit over the heads with golf clubs. Almost all of the games for both are intent on trying to maintain that audience, (the Xbox bringing out "big tough manly" games and the PS3 bringing out incredibly complex and difficult stuff), only the Wii is trying to expand on it.

Well game wise, Nintendo are in front with money because they have been around for many more years than both Microsoft and Sony.

However as a lot of you probably know, Microsoft has much money than Nintendo or Sony have.

Care to give some examples?

At the moment, the majority of the games are targeted towards younger people. If I was about 10 years old or something, sure  give me the Wii, but I'm not, and the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 offers far more games targeted towards older gamers. That is why they are going to be much more popular within the gaming community.

You've got to hand it to Nintendo for greatly expanding the gamer demographic, though, even if it is through overly simplistic games right now. If I recall correctly, it took publishers a while to really capitalize on the DS, and now we're seeing some really quality titles appearing on that handheld. Perhaps it won't be too long until that trend resurfaces for the Wii.

Besides, the PS3/Xbox360 and the Wii aren't really competing for the same market, and I really think both casual and hardcore are needed if the industry as a whole is to thrive. You prefer the gamer's market, and that's great. I do, too, to be honest. I play games for the story, and the 360 delivers best on that front, in my opinion. But it's sometimes nice to be able to sit down and play games for just 15 minutes if I don't have the time to commit to a more hardcore title, too.

Really, all I can criticize is Sony's floundering. They simply can't seem to hold down any decent exclusives. Shame, really. At least Blu-Ray's gonna win the HD format wars.

Yes, but nobody knows when that might be. That might be days, weeks, months or even years for that to happen. And when it does eventually happen, then it will be too late. At the moment, both Xbox 360 and the PS3 are already doing that. If Nintendo want to do the same, then they should better start doing it now, while the gaming is quite big.

as of right now shadow caster is indeed right... most developers see the wii as a novelty  but some good games that target an older audience have been made by nintendo mostly.

metroid prime 3 :corruption
super smash bros brawl
trauma center series

and some all ages classics
super mario galaxy
geometry wars galaxies (addictive shooter)

I meant more teenage based games, like a good example is GTA: San Andreas, or Manhunt 2. Yes I do realize that Manhunt 2 is also on the Wii (that might be their best game ), but they lack titles like that.

Super Smash Brothers is a good game if you have a lot of friends over, but it is still not entirely a Teenager based game.

Super Mario definately is NOT.

"Teenage" is the perfect word to describe the GTA series.

And a few more adult games would be No More Heroes and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.

i would consider No more heroes to be an adult game, because of the fact of it's philosophifestic nature and its deeply disturbing comments about society. Resident evil... yeah, an adult game, considering its combining two really old elements that only adults over 30 would remember (original resi evil and the rail shooter)

If you want teenage amounts of blood and gory with the story depth of a tea-spoon, Buy a 360 and play to your hearts contend (please read my previous post if you don't get what i think about 360's)

So you think that the Hot Coffee mod which was exploited was a bit teenage as well? Come on man, that is Adult.

That game contains a lot of violence, a lot of swearing that most teenagers would not use, sex is contained within it, and doing criminal activities like killing people, killing police officers, stealing cars etc etc.

You think that is all a bit Teenage as well?

Get real lol

Come on, will, only teenagers are really into all that sought of stuff. GTA is as teenage as you can get without employing them to do the actual creating of the game. it may be an 18 rating but teenagers are more likely to play it because no-one else in society loves to talk more about stealing cars and running over police officers to pick up a hooker and then do a line of coke of a donkey's back than teenagers.

Yeah, Teenagers might be into that stuff, but you can't say that the game is not an adult game can you? Surely with all those things I mentioned, you can't really classify that as a 'teenage' game right?
