Sorry for this being late, my watch was a day slow and I didn't realize until too late.  I hope judges and Kooka can cut me some slack here.  Nothing was edited, just uploaded.

For full understanding, see The Laboratory, part 2 of this Entry.

For a note:  While there are two seperate Threads, I wish it to be viewed as one entry.  I seperated it to cut down on loading times for people with slower connections, but also because of my feeling about factions.  They cannot exist on their own, seperate from the rest of the factions.  Each faction holds the other ones up, supporting storyline.  Without other factions the "Demonic" ability would be pointless, for example.  For the full effect of "Word of Light" the Haven needs a Necropolis to fight.  And so I have these two races, seperate but existing together.

I must say Daystar, that you have got quite a good talent with making models. Those are amazing. I don't have much else to say but very good job and I wish you luck with this ICTC

Nice work! Although I daresay the Sphinx and Strider models are a little bit ridiculous, specially the first one.

Pretty much as I said with your other faction, wish I could help you out by being a judge. I am sure you will recieve enough praise from others, however.

My review of this faction:

Cohesiveness: 9/10 most of these creatures stick perfectly together and give a distinct feel to the faction (by the way, "foliot"?? I sense a reader of Bartimaeus' trilogy here). Perhaps the last creature doesn't feel enough like part of the pride, but the overall work is nonetheless perfect under this respect.

Imagination: 14/15 not the most creative thing one could put together, but nonetheless a monumental work. Imagining the whole faction, its culture, its outfit, its combat performance, and sticking all together is an amazing creative accomplishement, possibly rivalled by only another town in the competition (guess what one).

Back story: 8/10 here it could have been better. We get a lot -possibly too much- about te story of Ashan, and a lot about how the pantherans came to be, and enough about why they fight, and how the campaign's story unfolds, but the proportion is a bit off (just look how many pages on Ashan's story).

Battle facets: 8/10 one of the best work around here. Daystar really tries to design a distinct role for each creature and make each one of them a useful, but not overpowered tool in battle. The only problem is that in the end they don't come with a distinct feel in gameplay. While not broken, they are also not unique.

Discretionary: 5/5 the effort Daystar puts in this faction is exemplar and memorable. Like or dislike the theme, no one mentally sane could give him less than 5 on effort alone.

Overall: 45/50

Cohesiveness: 9/10 (it seems a bit like re-creating the world making it bigger, better and more versatile, but in terms of cohesiveness that's good because your vision is very noticeable)

Imagination: 13/15 (for Heroes a new idea, but all rather classical and traditional)

Back story: 9/10 (lots of effort from you here but I think you have overdone it a bit)

Battle facets: 8/10 (seems like an offensive might faction, could be more versatile)

Discretionary: 1/5 (for raising the variety of Heroes)

Cohesiveness: 9/10 we have a description of their society.

Imagination: 13/15 because.

Back story: 8/10 good story, but I was under the impression to not see the word "pantheran" very often.

Battle facets: 5/10 not enough originality. the only shooter isn't even a shooting oriented creature, and you can hardly get a flyer and no shooter at the beginning of a game.

Discretionary: 5/5 for the presentation.

Cohesiveness:it all fits 9/10

Imagination: Very Original 13/15

Backstory:a bit over the top, still nice 9'5/10

Battle:some abilities could have been better; and were are the Shooter/flyers ????? 5'5/10

Discretionairy: one of the few perfect things I've ever seen  5/5

So that gives... 9+13+5'5+9'5+5= 42/50 = 84%
Not bad for a pussy

Tobius's rating

The Den part one

Cohesiveness(3+4)=7 Of course, it fits with your description, but I miss a really binding factor of these beasts that are quiet unusual for HoMM, but could fit here (due to your history)
Imagination(5+2+5)=12 Almost everything is extremely original, but sadly you adopt the system of Heroes 5
Back Story(5+4)=9 Just great! You really \"expand\" on the HoMM universe. I only missed a real story because yours mainly a timeline
Battle Facets(5+4)=9 Very good, apart from the already known mechanics I don\'t see any flaws

Discretionary: +3 for the in-depth description, the completely new continent and the campaign

Total Score=40

How I graded these:
Cohesiveness (Internal Coherence [1-5]+HoMM Compatibility [1-5])
Imagination (Creativity [1-5]+Innovations [1-5]+Originality[1-5])
Back Story (How well it expands on one of the HoMM universes [1-5]+How interesting it was to me [1-5])
Battle Facets (Variety [1-5]+Inventive Aspects [1-5])
Discretionary (Bonus for exceptional efforts[1-5])
