I would prefer Dread Knight against everything else. But if it was a 1v1 battle between naga queen and dread knight naga queen has a pretty decent chance of victory since enemies cannot retaliation. Dread knights are more chance based(although this statement is wrong because gamewise undead is the most non-chance based faction since they cant get luck-morale bonuses) so ultimately i would prefer naga queen 1v1, but dread knight against everything else.

Since all of them are melee I think (ex. Cyclops, which I don't think is even built in the town anyway  )
1v1 - Naga Queen because of no-retaliation
In a battle tho, I definitely prefer Efreet Sultans to anything else, because of their speed, fire shield and the fact that they are awesome against shooters.

To be precise, in a 1v1 fight between Naga Queens and Dread Knights, it depends almost entirely on Dread Knight's "luck". NQ's deal constant 30 damage. They might get bad morale from facing undead, that's all.
Has anyone tried using both Frenzy and Fire Shield on Naga Queens ? I understand that's a big temptation for Dispel or Blind. But even just Frenzy sounds nice on paper:
Naga Queen's damage multiplier against DK is (1 + ((16 - 18) * 0.025) = 0.95. DK has a multiplier, on average (due to death strike), (1 + (18 - 13) * 0.025) * (1 + (0.2 * 2)) = 1.75 multiplier.
Death Knight's multiplier due to Death Strike is (1 + (0.2 * 2)) = 1.4 on average, of course it can be wildly unfair when it never triggers or triggers three times in a row. But I use an average multiplier to get an idea how much damage it deals.
With Expert Frenzy, Attack Skill is 3x while Defence Skill is 0. This means NQ has a multiplier of (1 + ((16*3 - 18) * 0.025)) = 2.5
while DK will have an average multiplier of (1 + (18 * 0.05)) * 1.4 = 2.66 . So Frenzy is only really worth it when you can deal crippling damage in a single attack.
When Naga Queens are enchanted with Expert Fire Shield and Frenzy, Fire Shield faces a 0.3 * (1 + (18 * 0.05)) = 0.57x damage reflection from fire shield. This means taking 0.57 * damage from fire shield, not reduced by defence skill. With Death Blow, it becomes 1.14x base damage reflected.

They can't get bad morale from facing any undead, you get bad morale from facing bone/ghost dragons.

I love necro 6th level, unfoartunately never play them... Since I dislike low speed efreets are my next ones as pick.
le: ez to break naga bank, but think about when u could break a efreet bank.

Lets go..
Dread Knights are the best . double damage , speed is OK, Highest HP in lvl 6 , best attack & defense . those are the lvl 7 creatures killers 
But my favorites are the War Unicorns . They tough , OK speed , super cheap , and Blind can be vey usefull . and I think they look awosome too
The worst are probably Wyverns or Cyclops , I like both , but if you have fast, strong creature , they can block Cyclops and they will go down , fast . also Its near to impossible to get them in the start , you can get behemoths before them ! 
You can get Wyverns pretty quickly , but again , they will go down fast because lack of attack & defense . Wyvern Monarch beat Cycolps King in 1 vs 1 , but Cycolps are way more usefull .
So :
Best - Dread Knight
Worst - Wyvern ( but I like them  )

It's a tight race up the top between the Naga Queen and the Dread Knight. Overall the Dread Knight is stronger, has the ability to curse the opponent and have that dreaded double damage death attack. However the Naga has really strong damage (30), and have the added benefit of no enemy retaliation. Whereas the Dread Knight's special ability is luck dependent. Therefore I will rate them equal first since I can't really discern who is the better of the two to be honest.
=1. Dread Knight
=1. Naga Queen
3. Champion - yes I know, but their charge attack can do heaps of damage
4. Efreet Sultan - they're very fast!
5. Magic Elemental - multi attack and no retaliation
6. War Unicorn - Strong and can blind the opposition
7. Cyclops King - Attacking siege walls is nice
8. Scorpiocore - Fast, but weak.
9. Wyvern Monarch - Quite Lame. At least you can get them early.

Wywerns are best, guys, cause they are mass.
The strength of Fortress is random map, where are their hives. On fixed map Fortress hasnt real strength.

Just like with Tier #4, NECRO has the best one by far in my opinion. This is balancing for the worst Tier #2 and a really worthless Tier #3, the developers definitely made D. Knights to give them Undead players a fighting chance.
