The previous Warding Arrow version did not have visual effects during the preparation and release of the arrows.

Wow i didn't saw that coming i watch battle replays on slow motion but i was focusing on the arrow and the hit effect
Nice effect looks like Gandalfs fire works Butterflies

There is now a Spells and Ability Visuals Mod v10. The download link is at the top post of the first page.

Changes

Spells & Ability Visuals Mod v10 (Warding Arrow - Oh well, I couldn't get contented. Re-textured the visuals to all-golden to be in contrast with Force Arrow's visual theme which was all blue. Added some more residual golden rays.)

Yes the Golden one hit effect is better(is see some shape of it similar to the Earth Elemental shape The Arrow look better too.

Hey Kilrein i was thinking about giving another elecrtical effect to Call Storm ability, an build up in the fist of The Storm Lord.

And have you been thinking about giving better hit effects, more blood or the wood or iron pieces when hit an dwarven shield or Iron golem.

Thanks and well done, Kilrein.  I thought there should be a QP in recognition of what you have done so far in improving the H5 battle experience...

Is there something wrong with Rapidshare?  I also experienced problems in trying to download from there, luckily the second link worked alright.

Just to ask if it is possible to include a notepad file stating the changelog (for people like me who are too lazy to drag and copy your masterpost to notepad or Word...)?

One question, does the Teleporting effect the ability ""Storm Wind"" Because I noticed some monsters that usually fly now teleport?

It does. Teleport is the same as Fly gameplay-wise.

My apologies. I am somewhat preoccupied with Oblivion and King's Bounty for the moment.

I added an optional-additional teleport mod that replaces the Shadow Witch, Mistress and Matriachs' slow walking animations into teleport animations. They are still non flying units therefore they are unable to pass through obstacles. This is just a visual change and no gameplay changes were made whatsoever.

I think you need ToE. I'm sure, this mod can work on the other versions, but there are can be bugs.

yes well done , i've downloaded this mod two weeks ago and now i'm playing so much duels with sinitar just because of this freaking meteors and deep freezes

and the phantom dragon, very, very scary

all in all excelent work!

Spectral and Ghost Dragons

Opinion: I think if the Spectral dragon teleported similarly to the Ghost Dragon it would be fitting. It would seem then as if it opened a portal to the shadow plane (the black ball effect) it closed behind it, reopened at its destination, it came through, and closed behind it.
Again, similar to the Ghost Dragon.

As it is now, the Shadow Dragon disappears, and then flies in from off screen. Its looks like tag team shadow dragons.

I figure I will go over all of the animations and give any relevant input I can come up with. I will update this post with all of my observations at once. I hope others will chime in, this is a great mod that deserves the feedback so Kilrein can really polish this diamond to a gleaming shine.

Again, this is a exceptional mod. There is nothing to pick over other than personal view and aesthetics to comment on. Bottom line is I will be just as happy with it as it is.

Here are my promised observations and input.

Seraph Teleport -  It would be a good flow of animation if they stuck their sword in the ground, teleported in that position, then pulled there sword out of the ground. Is that animation reversible?

Call Lightning seems to have less of a crack or peel of thunder on impact than the spell.

Banshee Wail – The individual per creature black emanations from each creature expand to cover 3/4ts of the battle area. They seem to large to me. I think that kind of grandiose would fit better for Curse of the Netherworld no?

Benediction – At the end nimbus's of white energy lift away from the creature as if something is being taking away. What do you think of it descending and/or wrapping around creatures instead?

Plague Tent - Looks awesome. I especially like how the black effect billows out and blows away. It looks like carrion ash.

Corrupted Soil - Looks great! Red/Orange/Black color scheme seems fiery to me. How would it look with black or green or black+green or black+purple for a "corrupted" look?

Warding Arrows/Force Arrow – I want to start by saying they look freaking cool as all get out. Force Arrow is great all the way around. I would even make the “beam” thicker, or even corkscrew it. (Im a big fan of the Rail Gun from Quake). The only comment I have is at the end of the effect lil puffs of energy move from behind the creature, towards the creature. Since it can knock them back sometimes, should that not be reversed, a “sucking” or backwards drawing effect instead? Could an extra pull back effect be added when the knock back effect triggers?

With warding arrows, a few things. It looks very very cool. To cool in fact. Those things don’t look like warding arrows, they look like Arrows of Slaying, ala DnD. I would tone it back its flamboyancy closer to the level force arrow is at. Also, on impact the effect seems to penetrate through the creature. Force Arrow penetrates 50% armor, so it fits. With Warding Arrow I would use a “splash effect” similar to throwing a water balloon up against an invisible wall, since warding arrow reduces init at times. Could you add that effect only when warding arrow triggers? Kinda like Crippling Strike?

Eldritch Arrow - On the same lines as Warding Arrow, its cool, and too cool. Its kinda like Magic Arrow from DnD I think. I see it less "explosive" as you have it now, but more piercing. Could you make it like DnD describes where they swerve and twist around to unerringly impact on the target?

Harpoon Strike – A pulling effect for the Harpoon Strike would be neat.

Incinerate – The description for Incinerate says the dragon flies up, and breathes fire. What would you think of the dragon flying off/up, a pillar or stream of fire striking the target, and the dragon flying back in and landing?

Mark of the Dammed – A scrap of effect remains on the creature. This includes the gold twist to the left, and glow underneath the feet.

I assume its an error because its not centered and it doesn’t look deliberate.
However, error or not it spawned the idea, of “what if” Mark of the … and other similar effects DID have a permanent glyph or aura on the affected creature?

-Favors/Requests-
Your opinion and mine were dead on the same for that stupid face in he confusion spell ... regarding creatures that could conceivably be teleporting ... as a favor could you consider the Mage creatures teleporting? I cant not stand the way they shuffle around, its looks so lame. I know they arent even fliers, so teleporting dosent "fit" ... but OMG I hate there weak lil shuffle. lol
Lastly, the Battle Griffins Rush Dive looks lame x10. It just, flies over things ... whats it do? Clip them with its paws as it passes? Perhaps a fast, horizontal "SHOOOOOM" effect? Or ANYthing you come up with to salvage one of the most powerful abilitys in the game.

That’s everything Ive got. Once again, as it deserves to be said every time, the effects you’ve added/edited puts to shame much of what was put into the game in its “professional”  production. I would recommend this in the list of top 5 mods ever, and would still insist that it should be considered less of a mod and almost part of HoMMV standard installation procedure.
