Underdogs corner
Everyone knows people like RedSoxFan, Genielord or Lord Woock.
They have a great reputation, are friendly to everyone. (okay, not RSF  ) I other words they are Pro's
But what about the more bad mannered ones ?
In every cathegory you'll see where and when and to whom QP bonusses were given.
But what about the penalties.
They are never mentionned although they are almost as numerous as the Admirable Ones

Now, what is the meaning of this...
Bad-mannered and penalized, you can come here and tell all about the penalties you gained. Are you proud of it ? Or ashamed. how did you earn them? Do you think you diserve them, or are they examples of complete injustice?
Moderators, you can come here and talk about you penalization expireinces... Did you enjoy penalising people, or did you feel guilty after penalising others? Who is the most memorable person on the list ? How many did you penalise and why?
All the Others: you can come here and talk about the good times, when Wesley, dear Morons or ZanJerusalem weren't banned yet.
To all!: The CoC does appy to this part: No direct insults or thread killing and other crap. I am sure the moderators will assure that these things won't happen.
Furthermore: Enjoy the thread, I hope it becomes a succes. For one time the Underdogs are the ones in the spotlight!

An intresting -but sadly a very very difficult- work would be to show that posts, which got a penalty. Or at least the ones, which weren't deleted... I search around thease "bad guys" sometimes to read what for they were banned, but in some threads, there are already more than 20 pages and I don't want to click on every page... it's boring and slow...
Anyway, I think that this thread has the freshest -Qp!

False: it was this one. You'll be surprised when you see who was penalised.
Btw: That was my original Idea, but most posts are censored or deleted  . Yet when in each cathegory, there are threads about people who earned qps, there should be also ones that tell who lost a qp.

Does it even matter? As long as you follow the CoC and respect the other members you won't get there. Digging people's past to see why they were penalized is a bit weird..

The purpose of those lists is to make the posts which are awarded with QP's easy to find. It also shows who got QP's, but that's not the point it in.
We naturally want to show the forum's best posts, those who help people, show achievements or just funny and enjoyable to read. That's why having lists of posts awarded with QP's makes sense. We obviously want those posts to be found easily.
But the penalties are the ugly side of the forums, where people insult each other, branch the CoC, spam and fight. The question is, do we really want to show the forum's worst side? Do we really want them to see them and to discuss them like we want the posts awarded with QP's to be seen and discussed?
When there's a convention, the company sends its best worker, not its worst. HC presents its best side, not its worst.

Actually, GenieLord is right! The forum should not give ideas for beeing a bad member. But fun is fun...only for seeing and not to do them of course!!

So now you use them as something negative to point a finger at? I don't believe for a second that it's meant that way but i find it rather insensitive even if they are not around to see.

I meant to the posts, not to the people. The posts are negative, but people can recieve penalties and stay good posters. Many good posters got one or two penalties when they were angry or in an argument. Look at the OSM.

I was thinking about the latter two (I only took rsf for his enormous amout of QPs)^^
The big idea was actually to prove the bad-mannered people in HC don't have to be bad-mannered in RL. They can come here and chill out and refect about the things they said. Everyone eles is welcome as well, but I think that penalized people have the great advantage here. They can come here and tell us their story. Others can reflect at how wondefull life was with the more memorable members of HC.
And the moddies ? They can do what they like, even penalise me for favouring underdogs to Heroes of Order (but that is not what I want)
And think about it what would life be like if we hadn't have them ?
I think that having people like these is essential to a forum like this one. It makes you think about your own strategies and posts. I'm amy be taking this way too lightly and naïve, but that is my oppinion and I mot afraid to express it...
...So: What do you say ?
